Liked · We liked the location, quiet for a city yet close to a lot of restaurants, bars and public transportation. There is a nice grocery store and breakfast places within steps when you need coffee in the morning. We found the coffee across the street to be the best and the family working there were sweet as honey. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The rooms are nice and clean and fresh looking. (Though, the cleaning ladies need to clean the balconies so you don't walk dirt into the room from the balcony.) Bed and pillows are fantastic. When we go to Medellin this is where we will stay. I saw negative reviews for this hotel on Tripadvisor about noise and no utensils for the kitchen. As for noise it was not innordinate for a city. Those wo complain maybe should not book rooms in a city of 4 milion people. Maybe we were lucky having quiet guests on our floor, but we would not hesitate to ask noisy guests to be respectful. As for appliances etc. for the kitchen. When we checked in we were presented an extensive list of items we could request. We filled out the form and had an iron and board, cutting board and knife and a corkscrew and wine glasses delivered within minutes. I would like to thank the staff for their exceptional service. Disliked · They do not clean the balconies. Their is a vent to the hallway which allows noise from the hall to enter the room. Unless there is some building code preventing it, those should be able to be closed. It would also save on energy bills. Luckily there were mostly quiet people on our floor so it was a very small issue. Sharpen the knives for the kitchen. The drywall could use some repair and the walls need to be cleaned in a few areas. The painters were sloppy getting paint on things that should not be painted. ( bathroom fixtures and headboard for example ) But all in all we really like the hotel.

The first day I stayed in this hotel, I had to ask the desk clerk if there was any way to change me to a room where I could find more quietness, I could hear people talk, a lot of cars and trucks and airplanes but the noise was amplified and I am not sure if it was the time of the year I went to visit (December) but it was VERY noisy. After being changed to one of the higher rooms, I experienced less noise but I could still hear the cars not as much as on the third floor though. I LOVE my peace and quietness so I would suggest that If you go on a month like December when there are parties left and right, I would consider another hotel on another location or maybe requesting the rooms at the top of the building. You will start hearing traffic noise from 6am till around 7-8pm and on December 7-8th.. forget it, they will be throwing parties bc of the little candles day, there will be no sleep. I gave this hotel a 4 star just bc of the noise issue, which is part their fault for not installing some sort of sound proof walls, everything else was great, such as the bed comfiness, the cleanliness, the desk clerks are super nice as well, there's a little convenience market right in front of the hotel (called la vaquita), theres also a little restaurant/store called el buñuelo right next to it and I also loved that there was the little kitchen in the room with the fridge and the washer/dried available on the second floor for around 15mil pesos, super affordable and easy to use.

I would not recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Medellin, they offer NO kitchen appliances in the apartment, must request even a soup spoon, Blender, bums everywhere asking for money, can hear everything through walls, Horrible CS, maid can only clen twice a week, even if you offer to pay them...You have to request, blender, coffee maker, cutting board, ALL kitchen utensils, Bathroom light is outside of the bathroom. If you are hungry after 10pm, NO vending machine or restaurant to buy a snack, NO kitchen or late night bar. My mother had came from Spain and stayed at the hotel across the street. She arrived at 930pm, We went to come up to my apartment as it was much bigger then hers and the front desk would not allow us entry to sit and conversate with my mother and family, we had to go outside and sit at the closed church to talk, My own mother of 75 years of age, they did not allow entry because it was after 9pm. I was so close to leaving but I had already paid the month. On top of that the restaurant they do have (More like a cafe) the person that is mainly there (A female) has the worst attitude ever, never smiles and you can tell she hates her job. The elevator was broken, Although I am a big tipper, I had to wait til after it was fixed to get my breakfast which is highly over priced, Hot water and cold water is impossible to fix, gets really hot and really cold, Aside from the church being right in front of the hotel and you have to hear the 50 seconds of the loudest CHURCH bell in Colombian history for a good 50 seconds 20 mins til the hour, every hour. You also have bums, all around always asking for money, I mean everywhere. One night I had walked out and it was about 1130, I went to the drug store for Dolex and medicine for my son who was running a fever, I came back and there was no front desk clerk and the HUGE doors were locked. Not sure where he went but I was literally stuck outside with my cell phone, wallet and bums, motorcycles riding by, the street is pretty dark at this time, Thankfully I am a pretty intimidating man but anyone else should be scared at this moment, I was easy prey for anyone looking at a good quick score. I was out there for a good 10 mins. The receptionist came back smiling, laughing as I said something in English and he brused it off smiling, it was not funny. The closets DO NOT close properly, you have to make sure the sock drawer in perfectly closed for the closet to close. The walls are super thin and they have AIR vents that go into the hall way, I could hear couples having sex at least 4 times a week. It was like a sexual orchestra usually at the same time I would go to the gym every morning. So if you plan on coming with your wife or partner or even having company make sure you know that everyone will be listening to your early morning un-holys.. Now, Washer and Dryer, biggest scam to date, they have 2 washers and 2 dryers, for the entire building approx 8 flights x 5 apartments each floor x 2 gu
