The location is very good, the surrounding environment is good, quiet, the top floor observation deck is very good, you can look at the Mississippi River, you can see the bridge marked 'M'. The restaurant on the top floor is also good, you can go and taste it. There are no convenience stores and shopping malls around. It is more convenient to have a car or rent a car. This is the case in the general cities of the United States. It is very inconvenient to have no car. There are some snacks (popcorns and the like) in the hotel room that can be enjoyed free of charge. The hotel room is ok, but we live in a suite with an outdoor deck that can go out and enjoy the exterior. The terrace is large and connected to the next room. There is no problem with security. All the platforms need to be swiped before they can enter. There are leisure sofas on the platform, but there are more dust on the sofa and coffee table and the ground, as well as spider webs. The hotel is located in a large outdoor goods store. The interior decoration is very special. Some real animal specimens, birds, deer, etc. can be seen everywhere. There are also some introductions to the origin of the hotel, which is very story-like. I like to enjoy life in the American country. There is also a battlefield in the mall. There are guns and ammunition on the second floor. On the first floor, there are various mountain bikes, there are various fishing gears and swimwear, and a The harbor pier has a lot of local fish in it. There is also a city called Memphis in Egypt. The shape of this hotel is designed as a pyramid. From the second floor, it is designed as a hotel room along the inner circle of the pyramid. The room will look like a log cabin, plus The decoration of animal specimens is very interesting. The middle part and the first floor of the pyramid are shopping malls, restaurants, bowling alleys and shooting clubs. The top floor is the observation deck and the steakhouse. The hotel is relatively new, the room is relatively large, that is, the windows of some rooms are facing the indoor shopping malls, the shopping malls are exquisitely arranged, and the view from the room is also a scene. In short, to travel to Memphis, this is a place worth living.

Just returned from a two day-stay in April 2024. I was very surprised by my experience given the positive reviews on TripAdvisor My issues are the following: -Long walk from self park, including several sets of stairs with no help with baggage all the way up to the room -Two one hour ”Walk-the-Ducks” shows each day, lobby and bar packed with 100's of people for both sessions, elevators blocked so you cannot get you to room, inconvenience and most likely a fire violation. Clearly a public show and the hotel lets this happen, while causing massive inconvenience for guests, the show could be five minutes long and could be managed without much guest inconvenience, most ***** attendees spend nothing at the hotel, management needs to focus on guests and not the non-paying public, who go to a free show, twice a day, and not a good one. -Half the bank of elevators did non work during my trip, long waits for elevators, stops on every floor as people push in, lots of conventions going on, packing the bar, and causing a 30 minute wait for a drink -Ice Machines broken on my floor, bar then refused to give be a bucket of ice -No fridge in room, no wine glasses or cork screw opener -Breakfast coffee shop often had 15/20 in line, not enough service staff -No greeter taking names at restaurant when you arrive, long waits despite restaurant being 50% empty, clear lack of staffing -Stale food being serviced at coffee shop, sandwiches and muffins I will say that the hotel staff seems to know there are problems and do offer discounts and credits, if asked, however, I would much rather have good service and working equipment, than credits

It was very difficult to get to this hotel. Our GPS kept on wanting us to go through Main Street, which is for pedestrians and the trolley only. Entry is from Front street. After turning around and around, we get to the hotel hoping for valet. None that week. We were sent to park on our own in a building on Front street and given a code to go in and out. In my frazzled state, I could not understand the instructions the receptionist was giving me. In the end, he came out and pointed to the building. No fee for that. However, they didn't have large luggage carriers, and as we were traveling for a long time and staying 4 days, we had to do 2 trips with it to transfer all of our luggages. The bar was closed. The room was in the historic Kress building, so we had to cross over to that building from the reception. It was a large suite, with 2 queen beds on one side, half a wall, and a trundle bed on the other side. The room was very confortable. The beds were confortable and so were the linens. Irritants - too much light through bathroom doors! When someone would go to the bathroom, the light shone in my face the whole time even though they closed the door. It was pretty annoying, mostly at night when it woke me up. Also, under his trundle bed was a whole bunch of junk left by preceeding occupants. It was never cleaned while we were there. From the description online, I thought there would be a sofa bed and a trundle bed. Just a trundle bed in our room. We also had a small fridge. We appreciated how, without us asking, they left a bag of towels attached to the doorknob on day 2. Breakfast was OK, the room was fairly small, and a homeless man kept on knocking in the window in the morning. The breakfast attendant did what she could to push him away though. There was waffles, eggs, meats, oatmeal, cereals and breads. We really enjoyed the hard boiled eggs in that location. The hotel is very well located, on Main street and walkable to Beale Street or the Pyramid. The university is right there too. Staff was OK.

I was very happy with the service at the customer's desk, the space of the clean room and the smile on the faces of the breakfast serving girl and the late night bartender. The quality of the bed was super! I only missed a breakfast buffet with a wider choice of healthy food...

The hotel is located right at the train station, and so is perfect if you are catching the AMTRAK. The rooms were pleasant and the staff were friendly. The bar is very trendy though was understaffed and so whilst we were there, it took ages to get served.

La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Memphis Downtown

The prices for Downtown Memphis hotels were really high and at around £150, this appeared one of the better 'budget' options. We were not disappointed and will not hesitate to stay here again. Free parking (probably the only downtown hotel to offer this) which was gated and secure. The hotel itself was very modern, with fantastic Memphis photos covering the lobby walls. The room itself was much larger than expected, clean and very comfortable. Breakfast was typical budget options but was included in the price and more than adequate. The hotel is on Union and within a 5 to 10-minute walk is Beale St, Peabody, and other Downtown attractions. The only fault we found was the windows are not very sound-proofed and the bikes leaving Beale St on the Wednesday night were very loud at the lights outside the hotel - but that is a minor qualm as it is only on Wednesday this occurs - and the bikes were louder than average bikes.
