Hotel is located very near to the center, offers free parking and the staff is very nice. For the price you should be satisfied. However, for the 4 stars claimed, there are few areas of improvement. The isolation is bad, you can hear all other guests. The drains are kind of clogged so water keeps gathering in the bathroom. The bed, although it‘s advertised as a double bed, can hardly accommodate two persons, even if they are hugging. There were also some bugs in the room, not cockroaches but still, so there is a need of some measure there. All in all, a good place if you want good value for money and be central in Merida.

Reine Abzocke.

Stayed 2 nights here. Here are the pros and cons. PROS * LOCATION - The Zocalo is only a couple of hundred meters up the road so this was in prime location. The central ado bus station was within walking distance although for memory was about a kilometre and a half walk so you may want to consider a taxi. * AIR CONDITIONING - Worked well * HOT WATER - Worked * WIFI - Worked and didn’t drop out CONS * NO NATURAL LIGHT - Our room had one window which opened onto the communal corridor so there was no natural light. This was not advertised at time of booking. * SECURITY - The large window that opened onto the communal corridor couldn’t be locked. This meant when we were out of the room someone could easily just open it up and get into our room. I was very uncomfortable with this and made reception aware. They sent someone up to fix it but it wasn’t fixed when we returned. I noted the room opposite ours had the same issue when I tested its window. * NOT CLEAN - When we went to use the pool there was a thick algae bloom and scum on the surface. It was not swimmable. * NOISE - This hotel seems to have a relationship with large tour operators. As such large groups of people come in the afternoon and leave early in the morning. They made a lot of noise in the mornings when they would leave and this went through the walls. Overall we weren’t happy with our stay and wouldn’t recommend this to others.

The hotel is conveniently located in the city centre. The facilities are perfect, the catering service is also very good, and the other services of the hotel are also very good. The hotel has complete supplies and is easy to use. The overall sanitary conditions of the hotel are very good. I am quite satisfied with this. I still wanted to live for two more days, but the room was booked by someone else. I couldn’t continue to live and I had to change to another hotel.

This place looks great on the internet. But, stay away. Spend your money elsewhere. We had a horrible experience for New Year's. A complete let down. I made reservations 3 weeks ahead and they still could not get it right: the service and attitude were horrible. One example of how the night went: They asked weeks before for any allergies. I let them know about my avocado allergy. What do I get for my first course of this5 course meal? Avocado. I explained to the waiter about my allergy. He came back with the same plate saying there was nothing they could do because the avocado was mixed in to the dish. ”But, I have an allergy, and I let you all know about this 3 weeks ago.” He shrugged, and that was basically his attitude the entire night. None of the courses came out at the same time. Mine (the vegan menu) continually came out much later than everyone else. He never offered us water or checked on us... I have never written a negative review, but I need to do so in this case because we felt robbed by this place: both financially and robbed of having a good New Year's experience. The bad management is obvious and in trickles down to the service at the table. Like another reviewer said: spend your money elsewhere! This place has beautiful pictures and the fame of enveloping you in a luxurious experience, which it may have had a while ago. But, it's not true now. Don't buy they hype: it's false.

I discovered this little hotel on one of the travel websites. I was unsure about it because knowing people have different expectations of what is good for them and not others. Here is my honest review with pictures. it is in just the perfect location 5-6 city blocks from the main Plaza in the centre of town. This means you are outside the noise zone. The walk to town to the plaza is completely straight so there is no chance of getting lost. LOL The room is and has everything I need to be comfortable. Mine has a king size bed, a flat screen TV, a safe, open closet with hangers, 2 side tables, free bottles of water and more water in the lobby. A window, air conditioning unit, a compact bathroom that may put some people off because of the, let's call it ”coziness” of the size of it. For me I am over 5”9” so I am tall but still for me I was fine. This hotel is immaculately clean, the rooms are spotless, the staff are fabulous and will guide you what's on in town, where to eat, tours, you name it they will guide you. They are lovely beyond and feel like family. There is fresh coffee in the lobby all day and night and a roof top patio with some hanging lights with a lovely breeze because Merida gets hot. The only thing I would like is a small fridge in my room, and maybe I will put my request in. The reason I say that is because this is my second visit here and I have already booked my third stay. For the price, the location, the cleanliness, the kindness of the staff there is nothing else I need to feel safe and be happy. I can spend all my time concentrating on Merida what to see and do here.
Find us on the edge of Uptown Mérida Mall, steps from dining and shopping, adjacent to the Monumento a las Haciendas. We're within seven kilometers of central Mérida, Mérida Cathedral, and the antiquated architecture of Paseo de Montejo. Mayapan Mayan ruins are a 45-minute drive from us. Enjoy our fitness center, outdoor pool, and restaurant.

Just spent 2 nights here but found the hotel to be well connected with free parking, shopping and restaurants; what else do you need? It is actually connected to a shopping center that has a Walmart. We ate at two of the three restaurants located in the mall and found others that we tried as well. Nice décor and good size comfortable rooms. Hope to return one day.

Outstanding
Eeliset vThe hotel is nothing short of beautiful and breathtaking aesthetically! You are in great care in every way with the staff and the hotel owner in every way you can of. They are all very catering and friendly ! They make some delicious food and make you feel at home! Very clean and replenished daily! I celebrated my birthday their and they made me a beautiful towel decorate cake just like in a cruise ship. I highly recommend staying in this beautiful hotel boutique it’s a whole and memorable experience, you won’t regret it ! Very central to all the downtown attractions and walking distance to the Mercado, cathedral , and various plazas nearby ! Definitely going back to stay with them soon !
SSharon BMy husband and I went to Merida and were so happy with our boutique hotel choice. The rooms at Diez Diez are well designed and comfortable. The rooftop bar is beautiful at sunset! The location was exceptional—right off the Paseo de Montejo. The best part of the experience was the staff. Eduardo greeted us every day by name and made great selections for both our food and beverages. He is a delight, both personal and professional. He made our trip better! Viridiana was also cheerful and helpful at reception each day. All the staff was amazing. We will go back!
NNikkilaoshiService was great we arrived almost 8pm. Be aware we did not stay at the address listed but there are 3 properties 2 mins walking to each other. We arrived at the address and there was a sign with a number to call or contact on WhatsApp. They answered quickly and came to get us and our luggage to checkin at the main building then led us to the other (3rd location). Our room room was small but clean. The pool in our building was the biggest but there was leaves inside looked unmaintained but not gross…fairly clean. There was a little “kitchen” with a fridge and microwave and coffee maker which looked like it hasn’t been used in a long time before getting to the pool…there were 2 sets of chairs at the pool. Now at the main building the complimentary continental breakfast was fruit, yogurt, granola, and coffee. The optional buffet was 190 pesos and WELL worth it many options and delicious. The main building pol was very cute and we loved the complimentary “steam bath” which is a steam room with shower heads…need to let them know 10 mins before to preheat it. They also helped arrange our excursion to cenotes which was cheaper than we saw elsewhere. We communicated thru WhatsApp no complaints I’d stay here again….we struggled with hot water often it was lukewarm but apparently that’s a thing in this area. It’s close enough to the popular area called “centro” about a 25 min walk and 10 mins to the US consulate
ZZIXIANGThe facilities are new and sanitary. They are cleaned every day. The staff are super patient and very good. I went straight to check in at 8 o'clock that morning and didn't say anything. I gave full marks to this point. The location of the hotel is pretty good in Merida. It’s probably more convenient to drive next to the main street of the boulevard and not far from the bus station. I don’t know why Ctrip scores so low.
GGuest UserGreat hotel, nice pool, nice people. We were able to watch the World Cup games on the tv in our room. Great service and in a good location pretty central to the city and many things are in walking distance, car parking lot is reliable and keeps the cars safe.
GGuest UserWell hotel, I think the place is good for the price, the service equal was good, although I think they could improve some things: 1. - The toilets had a lot of saroso and that gives a bad image, I think they could focus more on their cleaning, the bathrooms as well had saroso. 2. - I think they should mention guests since they check-in the hotel is small and therefore everything is heard very strong, I mention this why we had a disadvantage with a family that started crying at 5:40am and ended up until 7:00: 00am even if it is noticed to reception guests have noticed, I think they should be a little more careful with these situations.
