Coral Gables
Had a decent two night stay here in Apr 2022. My other typical hotel options (AC Doral, Dadeland) and the MIA Airport Marriott were out of my company allowable rate allowance so I decided to try the FP since I saw it looked new and Coral Gables is my favorite part of Miami with the restaurants along Miracle Mile being close to this hotel. So starting with the positives: -Friendly staff -Newish hotel, definitely one of the nicer FPs I’ve seen -Free, ample garage parking with no required valet (I like parking my own car and keeping my keys) -Comfortable bed/room/fitness center -Nice looking pool on 5th floor rooftop -Very convenient to Coral Gables, Coconut Grove and MIA Things I was less happy about and would send me back to the AC Hotels if the rate were comparable: -TV did not have YouTube capabilities like many other hotels do -Very noisy/walls are thin - when your neighbor is on the phone you hear their entire conversation- maybe this was because I had an adjoining room? -Breakfast buffet is OK but they only had paper plates and I prefer real plates and silverware Overall this is a good choice for a visitor to Miami and you’re probably better off here than at an older Courtyard (that was my other choice in my rate range and I’m glad I chose this property). But that European-style AC Hotel breakfast is calling my name so I may go back there next time :).

We were only in our room for about 7 hours. Just used it to catch a few hours of sleep before our trip to Ecuador early the next morning. The hotel looks renovated except for the room doors. For some reason they left the old doors while they renovated the rest of the hotel and the doors serve as a reminder that this place is old. Bad call by who ever made that decision. The room itself is a decent size, has a comfortable bed, and a newish looking bathroom. For the price I would stay here again if I had another overnight layover at MIA.
