All the staff were helpful and welcoming. We only stayed for 1 night while visiting the Parham Airfield Museum and then Sutton Hoo which were not too far away by car. Our double room was very clean and comfortable with air conditioning if needed. The hotel restaurant is closed on Sunday evenings but that wasn't a problem as there is a Pub just across the road which does meals. We would definitely stay here again if we were in the area. We did have a cooked breakfast at the hotel which was tasty.

This small family-owned and run country hotel in North Suffolk was once a rural public house; today, it has been sympathetically renovated and still retains its historic charm and character. Located midway between Ipswich and Norwich, the Auberge is a great base from which to visit and explore Cambridge, Newmarket, the Suffolk and Norfolk coasts and all of East Anglia. The nearby market town of Diss is 6.5 km away.

Small double room, very soft mattress, bathroom was tiny, no surface for your washbag etc, very tatty bathroom suite, sink cracked from top to bottom, shower leaked so badly that the flooring was warped and leaked onto bedroom carpet leaving wet patch after each use.
