This is a beautiful hotel and we had a great time. The hotel was nice a clean, had a nice garden, the restaurant was nice and the bar was open until late. We stayed on the 2nd floor and our room was nice and spacious, aircon was great, the mini bar was well stocked and the maid came everyday. Our view out the window was nice too, we could see the cobbled streets and the tram passing by, it kind of looked like a postcard. The restaurant was nice, staff was friendly and if you like traditional Italian food then you would enjoy it. The breakfast was also nice we went down every morning, it was the same thing everyday but that was ok because it was good food. Only thing is tho, there were no omelettes as standard, I think they could have made you one but you had to pay extra (€8) Let’s talk about the bar. The bar was amazing, not only was it open til late but the bar staff were very knowledgeable on anything drink related. There wasn’t a drink that the lovely Henry or Paulo couldn’t make you. Whilst I am on the Henry and Paulo subject, I’d like to take this opportunity to just say how amazing they are. They introduced themselves and asked our names and it was lovely service ever since. They made us feel welcome, kept the amazing drinks flowing, learnt early on what kind of drinks we liked and kept the drinks coming. The service from them two was absolutely outstanding and we would visit again just to see them. They are real assets to the hotel. Thank you. The hotel itself is not far away from the duomo. We just took the subway, it was 3 stops. Once you get to the duomo you can also do the bus tours, we did the 4 tours over 48 hours which was nice. We also did the canal cruise which wasn’t far from the hotel too. Immediately outside the hotel you can also hire bikes and scooters. You just have to download the app if you haven’t already and go. All in all the hotel was great, service was great, location was great and we love Henry.

We stayed for 3 nights and the room and bathroom were great. A bit warm in the evenings but opening the window (which is a rarity these days) sorted that out. Great location for Metro (even though we walked all over the city!). Staff at reception happily booked us a taxi back to the hotel. Asked for a restaurant recommendation and they recommended PepeNero round the corner. Great place, not expensive and great pizza!! So good we went twice in a row for dinner! Very handy that La Buttiga Beer Room was round the corner. Great hotel!

First things first, the staff cannot be faulted! They were pleasant, polite, professional, and made checkin and checkout an absolute breeze. Moving onto the decor of the hotel however we found to be extremely dated. Mini bar was present in the room and fully stocked at very reasonable prices. Coca Cola, fanta, water and beer. Fizzy drinks were €3.50 which was the going rate in local shops and restaurants. The rest of the room was slightly disappointing. The bed was not comfortable (very hard) and the sheets were a slight tinge of yellow from being so old. The TV worked but the sky aspect was not working. I had to plug everything in the correct places to get a signal, something that should have been completed by the hotel prior to my arrival. The rest of the room had dark dated furniture and quite a bit of it was either dirty or damaged. Moving onto the air conditioning, it was roughly 24 degrees during the day so not to bad however the room required AC during the night none the less. This did not work. Finally the bathroom, again very dated and the extractor did not work. I’m pretty sure the hairdryer was fitted I the early 90s. This hotel required a bit of investment into the decor and would be much nicer.

I stayed here for 2 nights out of out of 4 in Milan. My first impression to the hotel was we were arrived early but they allowed us to checked in immediately and invite us for the drink at the bar next to reception. The accommodation was good with full amenities that we expected. The breakfast was excellent with lot of selection and the juice and croissant was the best I ever had. The staff at the breakfast and reception always nice and warm welcome. They always offer assistant regarding transportation, city tour, and arranging the taxi for us. Will be back and stay here again!

Bottonuto
This hotel is in the Porta Romana district and was within 30 minutes walk of the Duomo so, for us, it was a good locational it was not in the busy part of the city but was close enough to enable us to walk or take public transport to get around all the major central sites. A strong point in its favour is that there are many restaurants close by which we found very convenient - they were good to ! Staff were courteous without being gushing; breakfast was excellent; superior room was tidy and plenty adequate for our requirements.

Lovely small hotel in a very good location in Milan. Close to the metro but only 25 mins from the centre. Exceptionally clean and very friendly. Parking and they allow dogs. A very good place to stay to see the sites of Milan. We would definitely stay here again.
