Hotels Near Le Cercle De L＇Amitie in Mississauga

On April 23rd, 2022, my partner and I arrived at the Holiday Inn – Mississauga/Toronto West – 100 Brittania Rd East. We came to the hotel at 1pm for early check in thinking that the pool was open (as per the call agent who took my reservation), only to find out that the pool was not open, and it was “closed for maintenance”. This was not disclosed earlier when I booked the reservation, there was no mention of the pool being closed. I was very excited to use the pool as it was my birthday weekend, and it was my plan to use this amenity as soon as I arrived. I asked for them to amend the reservation to a cheaper price, however they said that the reservation had already been amended to include the new price (without a functioning pool). Regardless, my partner and I arrived to our room (Room 211) and after using the toilet, we find out that the toilet does not work. I called the front desk to notify them of this, and we agreed to switch rooms. We received a new room (Room 212), directly across from our previous room, and to no surprise, this toilet did not work either. The entire ordeal was discussed with the front desk and I asked if we should move hotels as they did not have any functioning toilets. The front desk clerk stated that “this was very unusual” and that they will have someone come look at it right away. While the custodian was fixing the toilet in the new room (Room 212), my partner had realized that he left his vape pen in the first room (211). He asked the housekeeper if he could go into the room to retrieve it, the lady said they did not find anything in the room we just left (this all happened within 30 minutes of leaving the first room). Altogether, the toilet was poorly fixed, as the same issue kept happening all night in room 212. Later on that night, we were told that the 2nd floor had recently been renovated, as there were pencil marks still on the walls. Futhermore, around 3pm that day, I decided to take a shower. As I got out of the shower, I dried myself with a towel, only to find it was stained with someone else’s makeup (what looked like eyeliner from both eyes). *See pictures below* It was clear that the towel was not cleaned and bleached properly as the make up had been stained onto the white towel (GROSS). We decided there was no point of addressing this with the front desk (as the lady was also disgruntled over the phone) and we just decided to go on with the night and make a mental note to never come back to the holiday Inn EVER AGAIN! But wait… IT GETS BETTER!!! On Sunday, April 24th, the next morning, as we were cleaning up to check out of the hotel, we went to check on our friends in various other rooms. At approximately 10:50am, my friends and I were all in the elevator going to meet up in my room (Room 212) only to find out that our key cards were no longer working. My Wife and I stayed at this hotel last month and it was absolutely the WORST hotel we've ever stayed in. I'm still in shock that this is a Marriott brand in this time we are living in. I booked a Jacuzzi suite to hopefully get my hard working wife some much needed time away and weekend of pampering. When we arrived in the room it was an average clean room, We began doing our own sanitization which is normal to do in these times we're living in but, we very quickly realized that the cleaning we were doing was not enough. I went to the store and bought some more cleaning products to do my own cleaning. I was trying hard not to call the front desk to have someone come in and clean the room but the shocker was when we turned on the water and started to fill up the tub, we then started seeing these black things floating around in the tub which can be seen in the pics. I then called and asked what will be done, they offered some discounts and a room change but they had no more jacuzzi rooms. We decided to go with the change. We switched rooms and ran out to get something to eat. When we returned we did our walk around to check cleanliness. All the other pics besides the tub was from the new room we got. HAIR WAS EVERYWHERE!! found a hat under the table, hair on the sheets, hair on the towels, We were in total shock that we had issues with the first room, you'd think they would make sure the next room would be in great condition, but we decided to go and buy our own sheets and blankets and cover everything and then throw it out the next morning. They did give us the room at no cost after all the problems we had but I felt compelled to let anyone thinking to book this hotel to BEWARE! We will NOT be coming back to this hotel ever!!! My wife's friend stopped by as well for a few hours and when she returned to her vehicle and started her car, it was very loud. Come to find out when she began driving she could get her car over 20km/hr she brought it to the dealer the next day and found out someone tried to steel her catalytic converter while she was parked at the hotel. We were so embarrassed that that happen to her while she was visiting. My weekend of pampering my wife was an absolute disaster. My message to management is it's still COVID and extra effort should be made to clean and sanitize rooms and there should be no exceptions. IT WAS DISGUSTING!!!!

I made the booking in January and then read some reviews touching on what the reviewers perceived to be negatives. I did not see this in any aspect of our stay. It again reinforces my belief about a certain group of people who nit-pick unnecessarily, and are never really satisfied. It was a very comfortable 8-nights stay for my family of 5 visiting relations in Brampton. My kids particularly loved the indoor swimming. Location was okay, it is not downtown Toronto or even Brampton - and this is reflected in the price. It was very clean and was kept clean. Breakfast was the standard hotel offering, but well worth it. Staff were friendly, respectful and keen to help. Ultimately, a very good stay and I’ll happily stay again.

The room is clean and tidy, the front desk is very nice, there is a shuttle, I made an appointment for the shuttle at 6:00 the next day, and I asked the front desk for breakfast at 6:00, but the front desk let me have breakfast a few minutes earlier, the shuttle driver was very punctual and waited in advance. The hanging basket and coffee in the lobby can make me spend time with jet lag happily.

This hotel is in the middle of downtown Mississauga, and at the corner of main intersection. It is close to Square One shopping mall and highway exit. Please extend the drop off parking lot at the entrance of the hotel. It was a little bit difficult and uncomfortable to park and exit out of it when there are more than two cars coming to the hotel lobby. Hurontario Street and Burhamthorpe Rd are under construction now. It was not easy to drive around the hotel.

We took an early flight so booked this hotel to avoid traffic. Free shuttle runs with schedule, you must reserve the spots before riding in order to secure the seats (especially during midnight)

The room is clean and towels are fluffy white. We had a good night sleep. We had king room and bathroom is big and comfortable. We had a fridge with no icebox. The hotel reception hall has wood beams, wedding room is beautiful. We had Mississagua promotion of visa gift card and Square one gift card. It was fun going to the big beautiful mall.

We booked this hotel for an overnight stay before flying across to LA . On arrival , the lobby seemed a little dingy , however , we were warmly welcomed, and although our room wasn’t ready ( as we were early ) we were offered a place to sit , our luggage to be stored , and a cup of coffee so all was good ! When we got access to our room , we were pleasantly surprised , it was spacious , spotlessly clean , comfy beds , a nice bathroom , everything you need for an overnight stay . We went into the bar / pub in the hotel , have to say the bar tender was AMAZING ,he had a knack of keeping everyone happy , he engaged , cleaned tables , took food orders , delivered said food orders , cleared away , and no one sat with an empty glass ! He really was an excellent bar tender , I would happily employ him ! ! Food and wine standard were excellent also ! Free airport shuttle , so , all in all , I’d say this is an excellent choice for a night before or after a flight , give it a try !

Exceptional hotel with professional and kind staff at the reception area. One man in particular stood out (Paey?) . The shuttle was efficient. Don't let the on line chat convince you that there is no shuttle service! We paid $26 for short taxi to the hotel but took the free shuttle back.
