Nice resort near beautiful White Beach in Moalboal. Perfect for people who like lounging on the beach, diving, and/or want a stress free vacation in a resort. It’s about a three hour drive from Cebu City and about an hour away from the typical tourist attractions in Moalboal (hence 4 stars for location). They provide basic soap and shampoo so I’d suggest bringing your own toiletries. It’s better for the environment!

We stayed for a few nights and enjoyed our stay a lot. It‘s only a short tricycle ride to the bar and restaurant area where we went almost every night. The food and drinks in the restaurant were good and reasonably priced. Service was great too!! And our room was clean and spacious. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

I loved my stay at Dolphin House. The facilities are great and staff are helpful and friendly. It is perfect for a family vacation and there are loads of activities to do. Hotel transfer is a lot more expensive from here in comparison to other accommodation in surrounding areas but I understand luxury resort prices. Overall a lovely place.

It was great!! However, I was a little sensitive to the smell of iron in the tap water, so I washed my face with bottled water. My friend said it was fine!! The view was so good that I wanted to stay there. The outdoor area is right in front, so there are some bugs outside, but There was no problem at all when I was indoors, and all the staff were so nice.

This resort is one of my favorite places when I stayed in Moalboal. Reasonable price, friendly staff and clean facilities. It's very accessible to white beach which has some fun activities to do with such as playing netball, snorkeling or having a massage if you fancy one. The Local Cafe is also nearby. I think it is a great spot if you would like to spend time with your loved ones and friends and be isolated from the crowd. I would definitely come back to this place.
Response from Property: Thank you so much "Journey" for taking you time to write a little review. Your first review on TripAdvisor from what I see. That's a special honor for us! Always welcome and warm regards from all the "dolphiners"

Beautiful location, peaceful and quiet but also very easy to get into the village by motor tricycle where there is restaurants and shops. The hotel has a lovely restaurant with set menus with local produce & a happy hour, plus down the steps there is a beach where you can snorkel and enjoy the beautiful sunset with a beer. The nearby beach is great for snorkelling where you can get up close to sea turtles and you can hire equipment from the hotel. Staff are very friendly and welcoming. Would highly recommend to anyone travelling to Moalboal.
Response from Property: Thank you "163ammys" unfortunately we don't know who is "136... Thank you for the recommendation and accurate review! It will be our pleasure to have you again. There's always a little surprise for repeaters, just contact us in time!

Beautiful grounds, delicious food and drinks at the restaurant. It was truly beautiful and I absolutely loved all the birds, resident duck, flowers, even the kitties roaming around. The room was spacious and comfortable. Would return here if ever came back this way.
Response from Property: Dear Diana, thank you soooo much for your moving nice little review. Big hug on behalf of all the staff.

While the hotel boasts beautiful grounds and delicious food, my experience fell short of expectations. Having stayed in several 4-star hotels in the Philippines at more than 50% cheaper, this one unfortunately ranks as the least satisfactory. The room was dated, the shower broken, and noise from the room disrupted my sleep in the morning. While the location near White Beach is convenient, I believe the quality of the stay could vary greatly depending on whether you're in a villa or a standard room.
Response from Property: Dear Sarah, are you sure you were staying at Dolphin House Resort, we can't recall having a guest with the name of "Sarah"? Maybe you were staying at the neighbor's place who in the past has been putting picture from our beachfront on his site. LOL

We had a very high expectation of this resort after looking at the website. however the website is out of date, probably pre covid and it was disappointing and we did not feel good value for money. We were expecting 4/5 star but I felt it was nearer 3. The entrance from the road is very unkempt. There used to be tennis courts on the left and they are now derelict. This area of the garden has not been looked after at all. The gym is also locked with no explanation why and the website gives you the impression there is a beach. There is not. At low tide you can walk along to the beach but it is scruffy and full of rubbish. We arrived just after 6pm. reception was in darkness so the security guard went to find someone. We had travelled 4 hours in a taxi so were very relieved to finally arrive but we were greeted with a stony face and were told were were late. The man that checked us in then advised us that evening food had to be ordered by 4pm but he would make an exception if we ordered immediately. Menus were thrust at us in 5 minutes of us being shown to our room. We were given the impression we need to get to the restaurant quickly but that was not the case, we did in fact have plenty of time and could have unpacked and showered first. Food in the restaurant is good quality and tasty but is not, as stated in the website, fine dining. It is also very expensive. The drinks are twice the price of anywhere in town, hence the bar is empty so very little atmosphere. After we had eaten we took some drinks nearer the sea and at 8.40pm all the lights were turned off and the bar was closed leaving us in darkness. The rest of our stay it closed at 9pm. We expected buffet breakfast but were told that as it was quiet that was not possible. The breakfast was plentiful but a little monotonous after a few days. I must give a mention to Ting and JB who both work in the restaurant and made our stay a lot more inviting and comfortable. The room that we stayed in was spacious and had everything we needed, however the bathroom was very dated. The chrome was rusty and the mirror was cloudy, towels poor standard. Very clean though. We had to keep our curtains closed as there was no privacy, people were able to walk right past your window and look in. We enjoyed the pool which was large and inviting. The gardens could be better kept, it all has an air of not being cared for. Pool towels all provided and unlimited drinking water if you refill your flask which is a huge bonus when it is so hot. The diving facilities were excellent. This appears to be where all the money goes in the resort and the guys running it are very knowledgable and well qualified. Snorkelling in the house reef was ok but it's a long way out for inexperience snorkelers and the entry into the water is quite often full of seaweed and plastic. While I appreciate that this can be a daily occurrence with the tides there was no attempt to clear it away which would have taken minutes and made the whole e
Response from Property: Excuse me if I do not go into detail but are you sure you were staying at Dolphin House Resort. It seems you have in deed very high expectations but not the budget for it. A trip from our place to town or to the other beach "Panagsama" is about 16-18 Km back and forth. not 0.5 to 0.8 Km as most of the distances you cover on "Coron Island". stay with the truth please. May I suggest to spend your vacations on "Balconia" so you don't have to spend 200 php (4 USD) on a 18 km trip to town. Warm regard from Dolphin House. Did you note that nearly nobody shares your evaluation here on the this site?

Actually we only get here, because they had access to their private beach. We had lunch here, very nice pizzas and it was allowed to used their private beach for free. The view of the restaurant was amazing! The staff of the restaurant were very nice, actually the resort looks amazing! But I can't tell how the rooms look like.
Response from Property: Beste FSahertian, hartelijk bedankt voor het leuke komentaartje! Yes, I do also speak Dutch. Hope you will stay overnight on your next visit. To all those following us, the resort restaurant on our beach site is open to the public! Just to avoid confusion, bring in foods or drinks are not welcome and the pool is only for our in-door guests. Walk-Ins however can ask for a day-stay room, 10 am to 5 pm (Max 2 pax) at 50% of our over-night rates, availability permitting. You will find dolphinhouseresort on FB or dolphin-house on the web

Friendly staff, excelent vilas, good food with acceptable price. The garden is really tropical with a lot of palm trees and flowers. We enjoyed our stay here and definetively we will come back. Great for sunset with nice beach. Great for snorkeling.
