Hotels Near Plage de Skanès in Monastir

From Friday to Sunday, many local Arabs arrive and leave behind a lot of dirt, but on other days everything is clean and nice. The food is tasty, but the staff is unfriendly and doesn’t care about you. The animation is terrible. Animator Skinny was running around the hotel at the end of his shift, yelling that his work was finally over and he could go to his room. The animators drink cocktails with the tourists. They smoke around the children while playing or dancing with them. The shows are performed by the animators themselves, and they are not interesting. Don’t expect the same level of service you’d find in Turkey or Egypt. The music is not very modern; it’s either slow or remixes of old songs. The rooms are cleaned decently, but money and other things get stolen. I personally had $100 stolen, and I’ve heard similar stories from others. Information for Ukrainians - there are no russians here, people only speak English, French, and Arabic, so if you don’t know any of these languages, you’ll have a hard time communicating with the staff and solving any problems that may arise. If you’re coming to explore a new country, I’d recommend this place, but if you’re coming for a beach vacation, this hotel—or perhaps even this country—isn’t the best choice.

My recent stay at this hotel was unfortunately a mixed experience, with several areas needing significant improvement. Check-in Experience: We arrived at the hotel around 1 pm and were informed that our room would be ready by 2 pm. While we understood that delays can happen due to cleaning and late check-outs, it wasn't until 2:30 pm that we were finally given access. The wait at the reception was also less than ideal, with only one or two receptionists available to serve a large number of guests. The lack of organization in the line caused further frustration, and I believe the hotel should have had someone managing the queue to streamline the process. Room and Cleanliness: Upon finally entering our room at 3 pm, we were disappointed to find that it hadn't been cleaned yet. We had to store our luggage in the room and return later to find it cleaned. The towel situation was particularly frustrating. We were provided with only three towels for three people, which is far below the standard two towels per person that most hotels offer. To make matters worse, the towels were not replaced daily, and on one occasion, we received small hand towels that smelled bad. On another day, no towels were replaced at all. This lack of proper towel service was a significant issue during our stay. Facilities: The hotel features two pools, one of which is a smaller, quieter pool that we found enjoyable. However, the larger pool, divided by a staircase, was consistently overcrowded, making it difficult to enjoy. The beach was also a letdown, with dirty water and no sandy shore. Dining Experience: The restaurant's food was average at best. On several occasions, we struggled to find a table, and when we did, the tables were often dirty, with no utensils or water provided. The staff appeared to prioritize foreign guests over Tunisian ones, which was disappointing. Additionally, it was disheartening to see some guests taking excessive amounts of food, but this was more of a reflection on the guests than the hotel. Bars and Lounge Areas: One of the most disappointing aspects of our stay was the condition of the bars and lounge areas. The floors in the bars were consistently dirty, and it seemed as though they were not being cleaned regularly. This lack of cleanliness extended to the tables and chairs, which often had leftover crumbs, sticky surfaces, and spills that hadn't been wiped up. The chairs were a particular issue; they seemed to soak up water, likely from guests who were wet from the pool, making it uncomfortable to sit down. On several occasions, we even noticed that some of the chairs appeared to have been soiled by children, adding to the unpleasantness. This overall lack of cleanliness in the bars created an unsanitary and unwelcoming environment, which significantly detracted from our ability to relax and enjoy our time at the hotel. While a bit difficult to find within the medina's winding streets, the hotel is a lovely, hidden gem that both me and my father loved. You're greeted by the lovely owner with two small kittens that are just adorable. Our room was well furnished, air conditioned and had a very clean bathroom. The roof terrace offers a great view of the Sousse skyline and Medina and is perfect at night to enjoy the call to prayers. Breakfast was served in the main court area of the hotel. Very nicely decorated and the breakfast was very traditional. Nothing too heavy, but still filling nonetheless. You know care and love went into making it.

I stayed here as a female sole traveller for 2 weeks in July. After reaaing some of the bad reviews I was a bit unsure. Yes its daed as are most apartments in Tunisia but its spotlessly clean, Bedding and towels were changed daily great views scros to the besch and location straight across from the beach 10TD for parasol and sunbed for the day and all of the staff are nice and friendly. There is a cafe directly below for anything you need and the apartments are very spacious. Yes its loud at night as its on a main road with a lot of bars and night club. I used ear plugs and had no problems sleeping. I am a very fussy person when it comes to apartments and hotels and I would definatey recommend and stay again

The hotel is close to the sea and the ancient city of Sousse. The transportation is convenient, the access is very convenient, the room rate is cheap, and a dinner is included, but the room facilities are very old, the toilet has no threshold, the water is easy to overflow, and there is no quilt on the bed. Sleeping is very cold at night.

I would class this hotel in the same league as a royalton by name! It definitely is not. It’s a 5* but it’s really a 3* tops. I work remotely and there WiFi just does not accommodate I simply cannot work from it. There is no snack bar throughout the day you have to pay for it! We are all inclusive we have never been charged for food in an all inclusive EVER! Day 2 and we are very disappointed to say the least. No entertainment other than a singer on an evening. I do not usually complain but we are highly disappointed! Hotel is very clean and friendly staff but all in all it’s crap!

Massive hotel with 618 rooms, fresh and sea water pools and its own beach. Stayed here for two nights at the end of a small-group tour of Tunisia. Friendly helpful staff. Large rooms with all mod cons. Huge choice of food at breakfast and (buffet) dinner.

Animation team are great! Always up for a good laugh and really have made our holiday. They make it so easy to get around and are willing to help at every opportunity. The night and day entertainment is plenty to keep you up and off your sun lounger!
