Hotels Near Miguelete Creek in Montevideo

Apart from being a great location close to departmental transport and the hotel including the rooms are very clean the staff are extremely friendly and courteous plus they go out of they way to help - This is are second time stying in the hotel and we would highly recommend it

The Regency Park Hotel & Spa is located in Jacksonville northwest of MVD airport and 20km from the city centre. The hotel offers 48-room over 4 floors and has an outdoor- & indoor-pool. Free parking next door. Staffs are multilingual and friendly. Our spacious room was tastefully furnished and decorated with desk & chair, flat-screen TV, wardrobe & safe, coffee & tea facility and a balcony. We had a good double-bed, and a separate bathroom with toilet, washroom, bidet & shower over the bath. All was very clean. The area is quiet, but you hear the traffic on highway 102. At walking distance, you find the CCJ School and the San José de Manga church. Free Wi-Fi Internet. The breakfast is continental with cold cuts & cheese, bread & rolls, pastries, orange juice, tea & coffee. The atmosphere in the Regency Park hotel is modern and we had a nice stay. Recommended.

Hotel with good cost-benefit. It is located in the central region, which has made our walks too easy. The lobby of the hotel is very cool and beautiful. It is an old building and so its lift is small and its door is very noisy. We hosted a triple room in the 5th floor and the room was ”closed” to the lift where the noise of every time the door of the lift was closed, besides having no sound coating and all the movements. The beds were very comfortable and there are TV channels from all countries (including Globo International and Record), air conditioning, safe and fridge. The bathroom is small and there is no place to hang the towels mainly after the bathroom, i.e. there is a need for daily exchange. It can be dispensed with shampoo and shower gel inside the box - which is glass - (conditioner was broken) and dispensed with liquid soap in the washing room. The room was very comfortable, but nothing special (I missed the mosquito eggs, sincerely! I had only cooked eggs!). Wi-Fi was not working inside the room - I don't know if it was because we were on the 5th floor, but we only got connection at the reception (terreo). Very educated and requested officials.

The hotel staff is great. The rooms are huge but need renovation. My bath tube had problems with water drainage. Taking a shower while the water reached my ankle. Not pleasant. The breakfast is fair enough. But had another issue. I asked for a fried egg and the waitress denied. “No more eggs”. A few minutes later a local guest asked and got it on a plate. As I questioned the double standard there was no understandable answer. Sad experience. At night the street are very dark around the hotel and there are plenty homeless people.

This hotel is ideally located to walk to the central (shopping) and old historic parts of the city. It is also a short walk from the coastal ”rambla”cycle and promenade. Reasonably priced restaurant / bar and breakfast service - comes with 22% discount if you pay with a non-Uruguayan credit card (as do all restaurant in Uruguay). We had nice big room on an upper floor with views over the Rio de la Plata and the sunset (but only top floor rooms have balcony - you can access the rooftop terrace but there is not much there other than the view). Reception very helpful in organizing visits, taxis and bike hire (these are available on site). Only slight criticism was location of air conditioning in large rooms meant we didn't benefit from it in the sleeping area and, during a very hot spell, this was a problem. Would recommend staying here.

We stayed for 4 nights at this hotel together with our 2 kids. We expected it to be a business hotel with comfort and some luxury. At least cleanliness. Well it wasn’t. It might be a 4 star hotel for Uruguayan standards, but for the rest of the world its more like a 2 star old fashioned 60s hotel. We had a family room (2 bedroom) on the 7th floor. Already exiting the elevator we knew what we could expect. Floors with old carpet and full with nasty stains. The entire floor smells old and a bit like old sigaret smoke. Pretty nasty actually. The room itself is similar. Old floor with broken tiles and edges. Really sober and uninviting room, no decorations whatsoever. No ceiling lights. Old furnishings. No curtains just a screen. A big disappointment actually. Gym wasn’t available. We took a look but I wouldt even dare using those old machines actually. Certainly when you consider the price per night this place just isnt worth it. So after a night we expected a breakfast with some sort of business standard. But also the breakfast is a big disappointment and actually pretty tasteless. I dont know what they add to the scrambled egg, but smells weird. Fruits are out of date and nasty. Dry bread. Cold scrambled egg. And due to covid it is not allowed to get to the food yourself. One (sometimes 2) person is helping everyone in the hotel, so that didnt really work out. On day 3 all of the sudden our cards to enter the room didn’t work anymore, ofcourse solved at the reception but still annoying and strange. Well at least the free wifi worked well here. Overall I would recommend to book a different place with a higher standard, NH is a bit of disappointment considering the price per night.

The hotel is incredibly clean and looks brand new (it is actually 1.5 years old). The room (rooms 510 & 410) was spacious, clean and decorated very nicely. The shower water pressure was incredible and the beds very comfortable! But the very best part of this hotel is the staff! I booked 2 rooms for 2 seperate nights and Andres at the front desk made it easy and kept us in the same room. Vanessa, Maximillian and the gentleman working with Andres in the evening made a tour to Punta del Este that we didn’t was possible, possible. Thank you all for your help! I will not ever even look for another hotel for my next stay in Montevideo. I will only stay at the Hotel Costanero! They went above and beyond and the location by the shore is perfect! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT

Good location, in Punta Carretas, just a few blocs from the ramblas and within walk-in range with restaurants and shopping places. Large rooms, with very good beds. Average breakfast, with few options. The price was very good. The check in experience was not very good, they didn't find the reservation, which was made directly... At the check out, they forgot that we had payed a guarantee of 20% of the stay, and charged the full amount, and had to refund it... Over all very good option in Montevideo.

Hospedamo-nos no Pocitos Plaza. Hotel EXCELENTE! Atendimento excepcional e hotel muito aconchegante e com serviço sem reclamações. Café da manhã muito gostoso, destacando o suco de laranja. Awful service - this hotel is not worthy of even 1 star. Their staff are not trained properly and ruined our stay in Montevideo, don’t waste your money here there are plenty of better and cheaper hotels available. 1) The hotel lost our booking and blamed it on us, making us wait 30 mins at reception at 10pm at night for our room 2) The window in our room was broken, we informed them in the morning and when we came back to the hotel that evening we were informed we couldn’t open the window and it was slightly fixed but they would fix it tomorrow (no offer of compensation or apology) 3. The reception staff repeatedly ignored our phone calls when we were trying to clarify the room bill (I called at 15 min intervals for 1 hour so it was obvious they weren’t picking up our room) - never in all the hotels I have stayed at around the world have reception staff repeatedly ignored a room call, it is the worst service possible 4. They tried to charge us more than was originally agreed for our room at checkout and nearly made us miss our flight I have stayed in hotels all across South America and this was the worst service I have ever received - do yourself a favour and save the headache of the poorly trained staff and book another hotel.
