Terrible. 1. Dirty, large cockroaches in the room. Two killed themselves one was lying dead on arrival. 2. Bed linen as well as pillows of the lowest quality. 3. Water in the room must be bought for 7000 ariari for a liter and a half. 4. Breakfasts for extra cost are not tasty, the rest of the food is 3 out of 5. 5. The pool is dirty. 6. The price is unreasonably high. 7. There is nothing around.

The hotel is in a remote location and traveling is very inconvenient. Morondava is a remote area. Although the hotel is on the beach, the sea water is turbid, not suitable for swimming, and the waves are strong. The hotel facilities are very old and far less glamorous than what Ctrip introduced. The staff speaks French or local languages, the seasonal menu is entirely in French, and the serving speed is very slow. It is normal to wait for 40 minutes. There are so many flies in the restaurant that I fight with them while eating. There are a few wild cats under the feet, which cannot be coaxed away. The key is that the cats are very dirty, and there is also a one-eyed dragon. There are many employees, but little work. The room is very old and full of bugs. The front desk will charge you an extra fee if you call a taxi for you. There is really not much to see in Morondava except for the breadbasket. Due to flight reasons, we were forced to stay here for three days.

Small resort hotel, the overall quality is still good, the beach is suitable for viewing but not for playing, the swimming pool is beautiful to rest in the sun and enjoy the sea view.

Buen lugar para Madagascar porque la infraestructura hotelera no es lo mejor en el pais.

We stayed for 3 nights while in Morondava. Rooms were large and comfortable. In room safe, air conditioning, fan, blow dryer, free wifi (sometimes sporadic). Nice pool looking at the sea with lounger chairs and umbrellas. Easy access to the beach and watching locals. Some women stop by to sell wares. Security round the clock. Restaurant meals available. Dinner entrees 30,000, salad 20,000, alcoholic drinks, breakfast is 30,000 or under. We enjoyed our stay and would come back. You can build up a tab and pay with cc.

Mixed feelings about this hotel. First night was a disaster. AC didn’t work, fan was very loud, Wi-Fi didn’t work. Second night they fixed the AC and the WiFi (only after I complained), which made the stay so much better. Rooms look like a cave and even during the day, you have to turn the lights on. Asked for room service and they forgot to open the bottle, so I had to break it open. Food from the restaurant is average. A window in the bathroom was not closing, which meant insects got in (saw a beetle on the first night and a cockroach on the second). That being said, installations are good, for Morondava standards, the restaurant has a variable menu, there’s a souvenir shop inside the hotel and the location is fantastic, right across the beach.

The food was terrible. It took 1.5 hour before the food came and the food was cold. We ordered pizza and the daily recommendation. The pizza didn’t have all the ingredients that was on the menu and wasn’t cooked properly. The daily recommendation was JUST white rice and bland cooked chicken. Overpriced menu.

Only a short overnight stay in between two days of travel, but rooms were comfortable and spacious. Bathroom a bit basic - our shower head broke. Restaurant had a lot more range than other hotels in this region - offered local food as well as pizzas and a range of other styles, nothing special but good after several days in the bush. Wifi in the rooms worked well. Staff seemed helpful. Pool and a nice view of the sea with easy access to the beach. Overall, nicer than other hotels on this side of Madagascar.

Great deck/pool area w a beautiful looking beach. decent food and nice wait staff. poor wifi. room a bit dated. bad water pressure. negative check out. credit card machine didnt work. i dont walk around with a couple of million Ariary. the staff does NOT tell you when you check in, or before you check in with an email, or update their website. common sense would say you would want your customer to know. even more irritating over such a small thing, the change the staff owed me was 13,600. the staff, gave me 13,000 in change, saying they dont have 600. not my problem.

We stayed here for 2 nights after a visit to Tsingy. It was perfect! The rooms were ready for us, and there were porters to help with the bags. The lodge, restaurant, and pool are right on the beach. The beach is also very quiet and it was lovely to just walk along it and play in the sand and water. It's also nice to walk on the road- there are some Malagasy restaurants and craft stores. The restaurant staff are very friendly, and the menu is very large. They had a few vegetarian options. The pool is very clean and lovely to swim in- though it was cold! They unfortunately do not provide housing for drivers, but might offer you a 'discounted rate' (60,000 Ar). Make sure you agree on this price at the beginning. Also, they generally don't take credit card- it likely won't be a problem if booking/paying in advance though. The hotel is on the higher end price-wise, but it is really a delightful hotel and was the highlight of our trip for many. A great place to unwind, grab a cocktail, get a massage, and just relax on the beach!
