City Hotel Mostar Reviews

The room is not clean. The hair and medicine needles from the previous residents are still in the room. There are unknown insect bites in the room. Go to the front desk and ask to change the room. The front desk tells you that they can only clean the room for you and cannot change it. After staying for two days, I have an extra bag on me.

Booked two rooms. The house facilities are very old. No kettle. There is no mini bar. Purified water is not provided. The room was very dirty. There were lots of little bugs on the bed. There were also injection needles on the carpet. After negotiating with the front desk. They only helped us clean the room. After cleaning it was still very poor. Stayed two nights. The body was bitten by insects like this. Bugs crawl on my face at night. Most of the people who stay here are on group tours. It is recommended to choose carefully when choosing a tour group. It's rare to review a hotel. But the hygiene of this place is worrying. The front desk service attitude is good.

It's OK. The location is OK. The hotel facilities are relatively few.

Not bad, the room is big and worthy of the price

It's only 2 to 3 stars, but there is a very good restaurant nearby with rich breakfast.

This hotel does the job for visiting Mostar. It’s got spacious rooms and the bathroom was clean with nice towels to use. The room smelt of smoke. We had a none smoking room which seemed a bit pointless when staff were smoking in the corridors and stood outside our room with the door open when working so it just turned our room into a smoking room. The room was very basic with no tea/coffee and a phone older than my nan. There is good free parking but you lose being close to the old town where you want to visit. It’s a 30/40 minute walk or a 5 euro taxi. The staff are really friendly and very helpful while speaking good English. The stay included breakfast which wasn’t up to much. I could even get a cup of tea the days that I was there as the order of tea hadn’t come in apparently. But the buffet was ok. How you’d expect it to be over here. It’s a nice enough hotel and I’m not sure what others in the region are like as only stayed here. So this could be far better than them. But as a worldwide comparison it’s 2/3 stars for me

No soap to wash your hands, no gel to have a shower, everything is empty . No minibar , no bar on the ground floor to have something either hot or cold, it seems to be the policy of the hotel.Heating is a real disaster with air conditioning devices lets not mention beds ……. Far away from the city centre….. I wonder , how is it possible it is a four star hotel ?

The rooms are renovated in an old outdated building located a long way out of town. Staff are not easily identifiable as they wear just casual jeans and t-shirts. Breakfast is served in a big noisy camp-like dining room. There is no catering for food allergies. This definitely not a 4 star standard and was the most disappointing on our Balkans trip.

It is my 4th. time in this convenient hotel which is well located. Rooms are large and comfortable. Breakfasts are rich and tasty. Receptionists are very welcoming and helpful. 2 large elevators. I came as a tour guide from Israel with groups and they enjoyed their stay.

For the price we got (two adults one child) the hotel was excellent. Room was big and clean. The bathroom was new and cleaned properly. The room was a little cold so we had to use the air conditioner on warm but that was not an issue.

Good: Rooms are spacious, very comfortable and clean, AC and TV okay, friendly & helpful staff, across the hotel is supermarket and night club which can be both, advantage and disadvantage Bad: Poor breakfast, no vegetarian/vegan or gluten free meals, no fresh juices, fruit wasn't fresh either, no soy or oat milk for diary intolerant guests. Staff are friendly but non of them wared professional clothes, just jeans and t-shirts. Designated smoking area is right beside the dining area and unfortunately isn't divided like it is supposed to be, so the guests are having breakfast with smell of cigarettes smoke from lounge area. Internet connection wasn't working properly, mostly no connection when doors were closed. Hotel is pretty distant from the city and all the amenities, fortunately taxi is very cheap and can take you downtown for cc 5-7$. Would recommend this place, but it needs a lot of updates.
