Wow! What a time at Mt Shasta Ranch Bed and Breakfast. Kris and David showed so much hospitality during the couple of days I spent there with my family. Wonderful cooking, great recommendations on hikes, and overall an awesome time. Can’t recommend them enough!

I stumbled across this absolute gem a few years back and have returned many times since. It’s a lovely change from your usual chain style hotels as each room has its own unique charming design. Kris & David are absolutely wonderful hosts who attend to your every need…especially the 3 course gourmet breakfast!! No matter what your dietary needs they will not only accommodate you but blow you away!! Cannot recommend high enough

Owner of the property is kinda of a grumpy person. Reading other reviews and personal experience she seems not to like children staying there so heads up on that. The owners husband is a cool dude though always seems nice until he gets yelled at by his wife. Don't forget man (owners husband) there's support groups out there.

Absolutely, dreadfully dissatisfied. Please do not spend your money here. I urge you to find another place to stay. I am normally not one for posting negative reviews but here it goes… I was the bride of a recent wedding at The Ranch. My mom and I met with Chris and David many times before the big day to nail down details with them. They were decently pleasant to deal with. However, Chris was very judgmental when I stated, multiple times, that my fiancé and I were staying at another location the night before our wedding and the night of. She asked me about 5 times and each time I felt extremely judged, it was our choice we made together. It just got worse and worse from there. Chris, the wife and owner, the very first conversation we had was her bellowing at me because I was using the main bathroom in the lodge. That bathroom was for “guests only and I was not to use them”. I informed her that I was the bride and she acted incredibly fake after that. I was the bride, my family paid to use the venue and I felt extremely disrespected. From there, I was afraid of how she was going to treat my guests. Her husband, David, put his hands on my dad when they were trying to discuss an issue with the parking. There is not enough parking for a wedding so I tried to make arrangements to have guests park next door, as instructed by Chris, but the property switched ownership in the middle of it. To say they were less than helpful during an already stressful time is an understatement. My mother in law let me know that when she called to book the rooms and to check in, Chris, had a terrible attitude and she had a bad taste in her mouth from the whole interaction. They let us in early so we could set up, but once they started picking at us. They wouldn’t stop. They refused to turn off the sprinklers for their precious lawn stating that “it would turn brown overnight”. False. They just wanted to put a wrench in our plan. David, was less than understanding and an absolute hindrance the whole way. Once the wedding was over, they again turned the sprinklers on and everything was wet when we were trying to get out. I am not even mentioning the endless attitude they gave my wedding coordinator and catering staff. I am actually an event coordinator, my mother is a well known caterer and we both have never interacted with venue owners quite like this before. I strongly believe they called for a DUI checkpoint to sit right out front of our wedding, however I cannot confirm. I could go on and on and on. I have many more examples of bad interactions that I heard from my guests. It felt truly embarrassing that we chose this place. I truly have not interacted with quite such wicked and truly evil spirited individuals before. They were actually the only stressful part on my wedding day. I truly wanted it to go so differently, however, they were absolutely unreasonable and I would hate to see anyone spend their money to stay here or have their special day here. The venue is abs

Comfortable, clean, friendly. Very nicely appointed with antiques, each room is different, and some of the pieces have been hand-restored. The hosts are pleasant and present if needed, but hands-off if you prefer. The inn is close enough to town and Interstate 5, but far enough away to give a sense of peace and quiet.

This is not our first stay at the Mt. Shasta Ranch B&B, and it was just as amazing as the last time. The place is beautiful. Each room is unique and the rooms are spacious. The bed was super comfy (which is important to us). You better come downstairs for breakfast hungry every morning, because the food is superb and there is a lot of it. Kris and David are the nicest people you will ever meet....they make everyone feel like family. We will definitely be back....it's SO relaxing!!

What a great place. Beautiful home with lots of nice antiques. The rooms were well decorated with plenty of room and clean. Bathrooms were clean too. The hosts were very friendly and the breakfasts were outstanding. Nice quiet area with a beautiful view of Mount Shasta.

I had a lovely stay at the ranch. It’s in an exceptionally gorgeous spot (less than a mile from Lake Siskyou with its awesome running trails). The room was enormous and quite comfortable. The breakfast was outstanding (several courses, all served to me as I sat in the morning sun outside, gazing at Mount Shasta. I would absolutely return.

Gorgeous views, yummy breakfast and excellent hospitality. David and Chris have a slice of heaven here just outside the town of Mt. Shasta. The views from the front porch give you a dead on view of one of the most impressive mountains anywhere. We were treated to a three course breakfast every morning which was delicious and more than we could eat. So they gave us dessert to go! Complimentary wine is available for sipping on the porch in the evenings, and fresh cookies for dessert after dinner. Our room was huge and comfortable and well furnished with lovely restored antiques. The bathroom was huge as well. There are so many things to do in the area - hiking, kayaking, exploring - I'm sure we'll be back.
