I love the location, just a little over a block from the central train station. My only real complaint is it was listed as a double bed, but it was 2 twin beds pushed together, so if you sleep in the middle, you fall in a crack and that's not comfortable. Also, I would love to have a coffeepot and hairdryer and maybe some hair conditioner...but for the price, location, and privacy, I still consider this place a big win.
Great care is taken to ensure guests experience comfort through top-notch services and amenities. I booked this hostel last minute, and I've never stayed in a hostel before, so I can't really compare it to other places. Despite reading reviews on Hostelworld about the single rooms being hot, I have no complaints about the room. I stayed in Munich when the temperature had a low of 20 Celcius and a high of 30. I had no issues with the room. I did have a large fan on in the room, which kept it cool. My room also had its own balcony and I sat outside to eat breakfast, lunch and dinner. Perfect for those who love their own space or couple. My only gripe was that the WiFi was slow at times, so I couldn't even search the website to test internet speed. I had a data roaming plan, so this wasn't that big of an issue. I would stay here again if I'm back in Munich. A Lidl at the end of the street and the Train station is a 2-minute walk away. It couldn't get better.

The front reception staff were amazing. They helped to ensure that my family and I had settled in well into the hotel. They provided tips on travel around Munich and the key spots to visit in our short stay in the city.
The room was very clean. Everything was working well. The housekeeping staff were always smiling, and providing help when required. We needed extrat pillows, and it was provided within minutes of our request. Excellent service standard!
The location of the hotel at the doorstep (10m) from the Train statin, made it so much easier to move around the city with various transport means. Short walk to the main shopping and christmas market spots. Excellent choice.
We will be back again. Cheers!

This hotel was one of the best we have stayed at. We loved the room. Ours came with a little kitchen area. We felt like we were staying in a modern episode of “tiny house”. An un-planned two-night stay here, necessitated by the temporary failure of Lufthansa, was a pleasant experience as the hotel offered a large and comfortable room with great heating and good (if older) ensuite amenities. It doesn't look like 'posh' hotel, but it was comfortable and the location is great for the Hbf rail station -and for one of the nightlife areas. It isn't a long walk from the old town either. The staff were friendly and helpful and the price was reasonable.

Very good location with the airport express bus stopping right in front of the hotel. Directly opposite Munich central train station. Next door is a small convenience store. Extremely good value for money with room big enough for 4 beds, many power outlets and all bedsides came with bedside reading lights. Has a desk for traveller who needs to catch up with some work. Toilet is well equipped complete with clean towels, heater, hot water & great shower area.
Wardrobe is large and this is supplemented by an additional hanging rod beside it.
Room had a musty smell when we first entered but this dissipated quickly once we opened the large window to let him fresh (& super cool (cold?) air.
Reception gave us a brand new kettle (packaging intact with all the plastic coverings) and this helps us to eat some instant noodles- we checked in too late to have any decent meal.
Highly recommended to travellers who need an overnight stay to catch a train the next day from Munich central train station.
Our experience is contrary to those who wrote negative reviews.
The NH München Unterhaching hotel is set in a quiet residential of Munich, yet it’s only a 15-minute train ride to the city’s main sites. The S-Bahn station is 300m from the hotel and from here guests can access attractions such as the Marienplatz and the famous Maximilianstrasse shopping street. When we turned up at the hotel at no fault of the hotel the holiday company we used did not change the dates of our hotel (from 26-29th to 27-30th) in line with our flights. This was quickly sorted by signing a form to confirm that this was the case. Then on our last night I was in the room by myself when a man that had just checked in had let himself into the room, he soon realised and walked straight back out. Shortly after I had a receptionist named Mustafa I have been told barge into the room demanding that I pack and leave right away as I should not be there. He threatened to ring the police if I did not leave right away. He did not want to listen to a word I said when I tried to explain to him the situation that I thought could have been the mix up, I rang my boyfriend to come straight up to the room. The tone and manner of this staff member was completely unacceptable. As soon as my boyfriend arrived his manner changed completely and became very polite. My partner went down to reception to try and sort things out to which he got shown the form we filled in on arrival with it forged, the date had been crossed out and edited which I’m assuming is to try and cover up the fact they were in the wrong. Never experienced anything like this anywhere I have travelled before. Definitely did not feel safe by myself as a woman. So disappointed after such a lovely holiday this completely changed the tone and ruined it 😢

The hotel was cozing and had good accomodations. Although not too modern, the room was equipped with everything we needed and had great acoustics. Parking in the surroundings was not very easy depending on the moment of the day. Breakfast was nice, with variety of food and typically German food included. The staff was nice but not very welcoming. The neighborhood was not very near to the city center, but that worked out really good for us, since we got to experience the local life.

For self-driving travelers, this hotel is particularly cheap and affordable. The facilities are new, the rooms are large, and the price is good.
It's about 20 minutes' drive from the center of Munich. The neighborhood is very quiet and sleeping is very comfortable.
The only drawback is that the parking lot is a bit expensive.

TTraveler 123Let's start with the spa - an oasis of relaxation and rejuvenation. From the moment I stepped into the tranquil haven of the Vier Jahreszeiten Spa, I was enveloped in an atmosphere of serenity and well-being. The spa facilities are impeccable, featuring a range of treatments and therapies that cater to every guest's needs. The expert therapists displayed a deep understanding of their craft, ensuring a customized and revitalizing experience. After indulging in one of their signature massages, I felt completely refreshed and invigorated. The spa's attention to detail and commitment to providing a sanctuary of calmness was truly impressive.
As for the location, Vier Jahreszeiten Kempinski is a true gem in the heart of Munich. Situated on the prestigious Maximilianstrasse, it offers an ideal home base for exploring the vibrant city. From the hotel, you can easily reach Munich's iconic attractions, designer boutiques, and renowned dining establishments. The convenience of being able to stroll through the historic city center or simply step outside to admire the beauty of Maximilianstrasse made my stay even more enjoyable. It's a testament to the hotel's commitment to offering guests the best of Munich right at their doorstep.
The overall experience at Vier Jahreszeiten Kempinski was nothing short of exceptional. The luxurious accommodations, attentive staff, and attention to detail throughout the property were all factors that contributed to a memorable stay. The blend of classic elegance and modern amenities created an inviting and sophisticated atmosphere, which I found to be both comfortable and inspiring.
In conclusion, Vier Jahreszeiten Kempinski Munich is a top-tier hotel that truly understands the art of hospitality. The remarkable spa and the unbeatable location in the heart of Munich set it apart as a destination that caters to travelers seeking a perfect balance of relaxation and exploration. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking to experience the best of Munich in a luxurious and welcoming setting.
GGuest UserStill trying to figure out what the catch is because at c. £60 a night this is one of the best hotels I've stayed in, in terms of value for money. It's located north of the centre of Munich (short taxi journey) and around 25 minutes from the airport. Feels very new, modern and welcoming. A big lobby area where a complimentary breakfast is served and there is lots of seating for people who want to sit and do some work. Rooms are clean and comfortable, nothing fancy but more than does the job. Staff very friendly and helpful. Highly recommend staying here and will definitely rebook next time I'm in Munich.
GGuest UserWhile the hotel stay was comfortable and the rooms a nice and clean we found the front desk staff rude and unhelpful. From the start they have shown no courtesy, I called up the hotel from the station to inquire about the location and landmark and found the person speaking to me couldnt care less about giving directions. Then when we arrived there, there was no one at the front desk. Since there are two Holiday Inns adjacent to each other we were confused as to which one is ours and kept the cab waiting to check. Finally we had to let the cab go as not one was there to answer our query. After a long wait the lady manning the front desk finally emerged from the cabin and was very rude with us. She couldnt find our reservation, we had to panic call the booking.com customer service and incurred a huge mobile bill for the international call only so that we could confirm our booking. She insisted we had not paid for our rooms and we had to argue and show proof of payment. Any query we had about the hotel amenities or sightseeing were unhelpfully answered. The person who looks after the snacks corner was the only congenial and courteous person. The hotel is within walking distance of a train station and the bus stop is right outside the drive way, There are some good restaurants about 5- 7 minutes walk from the hotel. Lidl is a stones throw away so are a few other grocery stores. Once you get the hang of the place its pretty convenient. The only reason why the rating is average is because the hotel is good and the rooms were comfortable and neat. Otherwise only based on their customer service it would be poor.
MmagcianxuBooked during the European Cup, the price is a bit expensive. The room is a bit small, close to the subway station, convenient for watching the game. There is nothing to eat nearby, only a McDonald's, and you need to take the bus or drive to the big supermarket.
白白色的玉石Hear me out: this hotel has THE BEST - meaning most professional - service I have ever encountered in any hotel - and I say it from my experience from staying at 4-5 stars hotels as a general rule.
Regarding service:
- ALWAYS replying to every email (unfortunately letters sometimes land in a spam folder, a little flaw)
- 24/7 there’s always someone at the reception ready to assist (mind it’s not a branded hotel, but a family-owned business), making sure that there aren’t any unsolved problems or unsatisfied needs
- all website-provided informations are up to date
- there’s a shuttle bus from a train station for guests (till 5pm)
- staff is perfectly trained and experienced. There’s never any personal attitude, just a smile and clear communication. Of course speaking well English.
- Bonus: I arrived quite before check-in hours and checked out a bit late too; didn’t have to say a word and no word was said (or called). Even got an advise how to efficiently manage my luggage for my next trip.
Location: a bit far from train & metro stations.
Amenities: a very big swimming pool! And a sauna, and a gym. Downside is that those amenities are in a neighbouring building, so if you’re still wearing your swimming suit, you need to walk on a pedestrian path for two minutes like this. It feels weird. But there are lockets, showers and fresh towels too, if you prefer to change your clothes first.
Concluding: best combination of price, location, fun, and quality.
Had a most enjoyable stay at the Drei Löwen in Munich Location is absolutely excellent at the hauptbanhof with ease of access to all U and S bahn . Great team of staff at reception that were very helpful Raymonda was very professional and helpful in the way she dealt with customers. Ben was exceptional in the way he followed up and dealt with any queries we had Room was lovely and clean. Breakfast each morning was excellent with a great choice particularly the omelet made by the chef to your taste in front of you Overall this is a fantastic hotel as its location lends itself so well to exploring Munich the Marianplatz is just a leisurely walk from it Well done to all at the hotel .
GGuest UserThis hostel is awesome. The staff are really helpful and accommodating. We came a few hours before the check in time (1500 hrs) and we were greeted, checked in and shown somewhere to securely leave our luggage while they prepared our rooms. The room itself (ours was a 10 person) is clean, with clean sheets and a very clean en-suite bathroom/shower. The rooms have air conditioning, however it was very warm at the time of our visit so I think it was struggling. Nonetheless the room felt homely and has a locker to put your valuables/clothes in (like a football locker). The breakfast is a continental breakfast priced at €8. There are many meats and cheeses along with: cereal, bread, fruit, yoghurt, juices, coffee and scrambled eggs. The breakfast is a buffet so you can really make the most of it for €8 per person. The bar area itself is very nicely decorated, and run by very friendly and helpful staff. I would recommend this hostel to everyone. Wether you’re looking to chill out or party this hostel has everything. Would like to say a huge thanks to Kimom and Giorgos in particular. They made our visit extremely fun and provided many suggestions as to where we should go/ avoid. I have no doubts the rest of the staff are the same, but these guys made it extra special. Thanks dudes!
would give a zero if I could. Currently in the reception with nowhere to go, where we've been for well over two and a half hours. Our rooms (which were paid for through ******* in October, and have twice had written confirmation) have been given to other people. The receptionist says he can do nothing without authorisation from the Manager, who won't answer her phone. He's refused to do anything to assist. He is now going to lock up and leave is in reception with nowhere to sleep. Took 15 hours to get here from Heathrow today, and this is how it's ended up. Worst experience in a hotel EVER. Update: Reception found us rooms in a sister hotel at 12:15am. Only 200 hundred yards away, but surely these had been available since we'd arrived in Munich? Room was ok and were still able to have breakfast, which was fine enough. Manager of the Belle Blue was apologetic and gave us a suite for the rest of our stay, which consisted of two bedrooms (one with ensuite), a shower room and lounge with kitchen area. It was sparse but nice. Breakfast each morning was quite good for continental and the staff were friendly and always cleaning. As people have said before, the area isn't the nicest but it's not a big deal. It's not far to the Underground and bus station, and there is a fabulous microbrewery/restaurant next door. I would consider going again.
AAntonyI had an incredible experience staying at this hotel! From the moment I checked in, the staff greeted me with warm smiles and made me feel right at home. The hotel's ambiance was both inviting and stylish, creating a wonderful atmosphere for relaxation.
The room was exceptionally clean and well-maintained, and the attention to detail in the decor was impressive. The comfortable bed ensured a restful night's sleep, and the amenities provided were top-notch.
What truly stood out was the impeccable service provided by the hotel staff. They were always ready to assist with any request or question, and their genuine care for their guests was evident in every interaction.
Furthermore, the hotel's location was perfect, with easy access to nearby attractions and public transportation. It allowed me to explore the city effortlessly and make the most of my stay.
Overall, I can't praise this hotel enough. The combination of excellent service, beautiful accommodations, and convenient location made my trip truly memorable. I will definitely be returning in the future and highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area.
