Hotels Near Backside of Grand Hayat - Beach Park in Muscat

The location next to Panaroma Mall and Grand Mall is impeccable. There are Subway and coffee shops nearby. The hotel lobby is grand. There are many seats. Convenient to meet customers. The room was clean. new. Excellent service. The only drawback is that the meals are too expensive. (It's not too expensive, the hotel standards in Oman are like this. Breakfast is 6 Oman.) It's cheap to eat outside the hotel.

This is nothing short of an amazing hotel and definitely worth five stars. The room was very clean, spacious and had an amazing view over the pool area and ocean. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom had everything you'd need, including a combined shower and bathtub. There was also sufficient storage space and a built-in safe that easily fitted my 15” laptop. The breakfast buffet was awesome. A huge variety of delicious food items, eggs cooked to order, fresh juices, different types of fresh bread, all sorts of hot items, cereals, and freshly grounded speciality coffees. Plus more! It was also a true treat to sit at the poolside, while enjoying this breakfast. It made for a wonderful start of the day. Unlike many other hotels, the in-house restaurants were really good too. We tried the Italian restaurant and the Duke pub/restaurant. It was really nice to sit outside, overlooking the bay and to see the sun setting. The location of the hotel makes for breathtaking views. It is on a cliff at the end of a bay, overlooking the bay and the city of Muscat. The one thing I want to point out is that there is nothing else nearby. The hotel is in a residential area and if you'd like to go to a different restaurant, you'd need to take a taxi. Not a big deal and the hotel provides about everything you'd need, but it is something to keep in mind. Last, but certainly not least, the staff at this hotel was so super friendly and helpful. They really know what hospitality means! This is also across the board. From the reception, to the house keeping, and the breakfast staff. As well as the restaurant staff. A special recognition goes to Deepika at the front desk. She clearly remembered we'd asked something about the Duke bar and the next day she gave me an update. She was also very helpful when I had to handle some documents. A great example of excellent customer service.

I am very regular guest in your hotel. Amazing facilities and all the staff is also very king and helpful. I will like to special thanks to Janhavi and Amjad from reception for their great service. Pool is very nice and gym is also nice. Will see the staff soon again

I loved this place!!! Food, shisha, taxis everywhere within distance. Hotel staff really nice. There is a swimming pool and spa available too. The only problem was that the breakfast buffet is terrible. They need to make it a lot better! Probably the worst breakfast I’ve seen in hotels that I have visited

It has the most powerful kitchen, but it is too inconvenient to cook. If you stay in an all suites hotel like this, you will definitely need to cook and do laundry. As the latest batch of oman hotels in 2023, this hotel has excellent kitchen hardware. The area is large, the facilities are new, and the brand is solid, even better than most home kitchens. But the shortcomings are also very helpless. There are no knives, the pot is very small, there is no kitchen kit that can be borrowed, and there is not even basic salt and pepper. If you want to cook, you have to buy your own hardware. Compared with the same brand hotel in Dubai next door, there is a lot of room for improvement. In addition, the hotel restaurant has not been repaired for 5 months. Therefore, the breakfast is very average (compared to other hotels in the same price range in Oman). Therefore, the hotel's breakfast has also been reduced to 5 OMR. In terms of distance, the hotel is located in Qurum, and it takes about 20 minutes to drive from the airport. It's a relatively far hotel. But the surrounding life is convenient and close to the scenic spots.

It was terrible experience I had on this property (citadine al ghubrah muscat) I was traveling almost 24hours for holiday vacation, I selected this hotel to stay since near by the aiport, unfortunately I chosen the wrong hotel, upon check- in the lady receptionist asking me a full payment for the stay, I have no enough cash omr. But I have $ dollars with me, the total cost of my stay is only omr. 22 I have 15 omr and the rest 7 omr. I will pay by dollars, I informed the lady receptionist that I will pay the rest with $ dollars, she said that the hotel will not accept $ dollars, I was explained to her that I just came from the aiport and I was so tired shall I pay the rest by evening I have to exchange my dollars outside, or my cousin will come by evening and pay the rest of the amount cost of only omr. 7 or else I will quarantine my id or passport to keep , I will exchange the dollars outside by evening , but she refused me to check in, now I realize the discrimination /criticism,I decided to walk out and check in to other hotel, thank God other hotel very considerate not even asking the deposit even id's qurrantee, will I hope other guest will not experience the same treatment that I had experience , you have to improve your hospitality and service, especially front office staffs, never ever to booked this hotel anymore,many hotel choices in Muscat. Clean, cozy, new, fresh. The swimming pool is open. Nice fitness room. The rooms are comfortable. Very simple breakfasts, this is rather a minus. To comfortably get to and from the hotel, you definitely need a car or taxi. There is nothing within walking distance. Slippers and bathrobes are not included. Minor shortcomings in cleaning.

Al falaj hotel offers the best and most affordable swimming classes in muscat. Coach Chamith has trained me in less than 7 days where in i had taken a 10 days swimming class package. I have fought my fear of water and is able to swim in deep water as well with confidence. Chamith sir taught me free style, back stroke, relaxed style, floating and deep water swimming in less than 10 classes and I am extremely happy and more than satisfied with my experience there. Must try for anyone who would like to fight their fears and learn swimming at any age group. They have separate sessions for adults and kids.

We enjoyed our stay. The hotel is fresh and clean and the staff pleasant and very helpful. We had some minor hiccups in the room which were attended to politely and swiftly. It is possible to walk to shops and the beach but not convenient. Like most of Muscat, a car is really necessary to make the most of the visit
