Conducted business in hotel and around the hotel. It is a great place to visit. Everything is a stone's throw. The airport is very close by, the beaches are all very close by, shopping centers are not far, and you can even walk down the street to get to quite a few eateries if you do not wish to eat at the hotel. I wouldn't know why, because they have a great menu. The conference room we used was well furnished with a great view that I enjoyed while waiting for the rest of the business associates to arrive. The price is very low considering that the hotel is new, well furnished, AND close to everything around!

It has a small lobby and restaurant but our room is spacious with nice decoration in blue. I enjoy studying in lobby even though it isn’t large. It is very clean quiet place to rest. The pool is fantastic to enjoy swimming with interesting view on fifth floor. I haven’t tried gym yet but I would like to go tomorrow. I like the cozy atmosphere. There isn’t many facilities or good resturants around but you can take a taxi with almost 1.5 oman currency to get Al moje that you find many.

It was terrible experience I had on this property (citadine al ghubrah muscat) I was traveling almost 24hours for holiday vacation, I selected this hotel to stay since near by the aiport, unfortunately I chosen the wrong hotel, upon check- in the lady receptionist asking me a full payment for the stay, I have no enough cash omr. But I have $ dollars with me, the total cost of my stay is only omr. 22 I have 15 omr and the rest 7 omr. I will pay by dollars, I informed the lady receptionist that I will pay the rest with $ dollars, she said that the hotel will not accept $ dollars, I was explained to her that I just came from the aiport and I was so tired shall I pay the rest by evening I have to exchange my dollars outside, or my cousin will come by evening and pay the rest of the amount cost of only omr. 7 or else I will quarantine my id or passport to keep , I will exchange the dollars outside by evening , but she refused me to check in, now I realize the discrimination /criticism,I decided to walk out and check in to other hotel, thank God other hotel very considerate not even asking the deposit even id's qurrantee, will I hope other guest will not experience the same treatment that I had experience , you have to improve your hospitality and service, especially front office staffs, never ever to booked this hotel anymore, many hotel choices in Muscat. Thank you and have a good day!

Clean, cozy, new, fresh. The swimming pool is open. Nice fitness room. The rooms are comfortable.
Very simple breakfasts, this is rather a minus.
To comfortably get to and from the hotel, you definitely need a car or taxi. There is nothing within walking distance.
Slippers and bathrobes are not included. Minor shortcomings in cleaning.

I spend 4 nights in this hotel in the center of a capital city. There are exchanges, shops (with Omani typical sweets for example) and restaurants around the hotel. You will have nice view - you can see a Grand Sultan Mosque (especially at night). There is a terrace on the top of the hotel with a swimming pool. Hotel is really beautiful with nice interior. Rooms are clean, big and with nice furniture (like in a fairytale about princess Scheherazade). Hotel staff is very kind and professional. There is no problem they can´t solve. They can speak english very well. Food is delicious, continental breakfast and dinner a la card. I can highly recommend this hotel :)

We had a an amazing stay at the hotel. It was a business trip with institutional quarantine. The staff were professional, supportive and well informed. This is nothing short of an amazing hotel and definitely worth five stars. The room was very clean, spacious and had an amazing view over the pool area and ocean. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom had everything you'd need, including a combined shower and bathtub. There was also sufficient storage space and a built-in safe that easily fitted my 15” laptop. The breakfast buffet was awesome. A huge variety of delicious food items, eggs cooked to order, fresh juices, different types of fresh bread, all sorts of hot items, cereals, and freshly grounded speciality coffees. Plus more! It was also a true treat to sit at the poolside, while enjoying this breakfast. It made for a wonderful start of the day. Unlike many other hotels, the in-house restaurants were really good too. We tried the Italian restaurant and the Duke pub/restaurant. It was really nice to sit outside, overlooking the bay and to see the sun setting. The location of the hotel makes for breathtaking views. It is on a cliff at the end of a bay, overlooking the bay and the city of Muscat. The one thing I want to point out is that there is nothing else nearby. The hotel is in a residential area and if you'd like to go to a different restaurant, you'd need to take a taxi. Not a big deal and the hotel provides about everything you'd need, but it is something to keep in mind. Last, but certainly not least, the staff at this hotel was so super friendly and helpful. They really know what hospitality means! This is also across the board. From the reception, to the house keeping, and the breakfast staff. As well as the restaurant staff. A special recognition goes to Deepika at the front desk. She clearly remembered we'd asked something about the Duke bar and the next day she gave me an update. She was also very helpful when I had to handle some documents. A great example of excellent customer service.

Outstanding
Lluke_middlebrookStaying at the Shangri La Al Husn Muscat has been one of the highlights of our time in the Middle East.
We decided to go for my girlfriends birthday and the team worked exceptionally well with me to deliver a unforgettable experience.
Getting to the Shangri La was a bit of a challenge and taxis do not come cheap in Oman. Though it was not challenging I do wish there was a pickup/drop off option for the guests.
The inclusive breakfast was wonderful and ordering off the menu assured that everything you ordered stayed fresh. There was a mixup with our order due to a language barrier but the food was still phenomenal.
The in room breakfast and room service was a highlight as it allowed you to take full advantage of the room and with the inbuilt heaters in the dining table assured the food stayed hot. The value for money on in room dining was disappointing as an order of a burger and fries came with a small amount of fries, however that was fixed with our next order.
The afternoon tea was delicious, highlights being the fromage and watermelon and the scones. Each afternoon tea was different and kept the palate excited.
The happy hour beverages were also included and always came with a suprise canapé from the restaurant.
In terms of the staycation, it was perfect. The interior and exterior of the hotel is beautiful and the sound of the ocean left you relaxed for the stay.
I would like to raise that there was a lot of sealife by the beach which deterred us from swimming in the sea as we had heard a lot about the Omani coast and didn’t have much confidence in the beach patrol and lifeguards there. We noticed some playing on their phones but they were always happy to assist taking a picture for the two of us. I would suggest a more upfront approach when it comes to what you can expect in the sea there.
A visitors lounge was also available allowing you to take full opportunity of the facilities till you left for your next adventure.
AAnonymous UserI loved my stay at the Sheraton Oman. The staff were wonderful- they bent over backwards to help us.
I had a couple minor issues with my room, and they came as soon as I informed them, and were fixed immediately. One of the housekeepers picked up the robe I’d been using when they were cleaning and when I asked for a replacement they brought 2 more! They were happy to bring me extra nespresso pods and milk a couple times too.
The restaurant staff were so attentive and helpful- Tharindu, Pravda and Khalid and the chef, Krishna- they brought us out coffees and juices at breakfast and made sure I had everything I needed. They allowed my friend and I to eat off the a la carte menu at dinner instead of the iftar menu, since the other hotel restaurants were closed for Ramadan; and when we said we had to leave early at 5am for our flight they packed a lovely to-go box with pastries, fruit, coffee, juice and eggs.
I personally really appreciated that the gym was open 24 hours so I could work out before breakfast, and the equipment was pretty good for a hotel gym!
My only note for other travelers would be that the hotel is a little far from some of the touristy sights of Muscat. Also, there aren’t many alternative food options around the hotel. But the hotel itself has lots of great options so for us it worked out absolutely fine.
ZZhualiceOne of the best five-star hotels in Oman. The entire hotel is surrounded by mountains and rivers, facing the sea. The hotel lobby on the 4th floor displays Arabic style. The room was upgraded to a pool view for free, which was nice. The breakfast restaurant is right next to the infinity pool, which is really pleasing to the eye, and the breakfast dishes are also extremely rich. The hotel also offers a variety of paid activities to explore Oman. It was the birthday of a friend who was traveling with us, so the hotel decorated the room. The hotel's China mood is also the best Chinese restaurant in Oman.
GGuest UserThe staff is great, attentive, full of little touches throughout our stay which are a pleasure.
The chef is incredibly kind, his dishes are very good.
A big thank you to Nancy, chef Hemraj and the restaurant manager.
We had a great stay.
GGuest UserEverything from the moment we checked-in till we left, was perfect the staff were really cheerful and welcoming, rooms are amazing, facilities were beautiful the food was so delicious. I simply enjoyed my stay and would definitely comeback and recommend the hotel to my friends
GGuest UserI am very regular guest in your hotel. Amazing facilities and all the staff is also very king and helpful. I will like to special thanks to Janhavi and Amjad from reception for their great service. Pool is very nice and gym is also nice. Will see the staff soon again
223597143We stayed at the very end of Ramadan. The hotel was quiet. It was very spacious and airy. We stayed in a 2 bedroom suite. It was huge very comfortable and quiet with good facilities for cooking (if you need to). Very clean. The pool had beautiful views over the city and was very comfortable. There was a separate ladies area with a pool that again was very well presented. We felt breakfast was a little limited we raised some issues with Vincent who to be fair did his best to try and assist us. We hired a taxi from the mall for 7 OMR per hour to take us to see the sights and this worked very well and I would recommend.. The hotel is attached to a Mall with a Carrefour and there is a bigger mall within walking distance with a much bigger selection of shops and restaurants. We found this hotel a quiet comfortable base to explore Muscat and would love to return sometime.
GGuest UserI stayed for three or four nights. The hotel is a little remote and, in May, the outside temperature too high however I slept well, I liked the Belgian and Thai restaurants and enjoyed the gym. As ever, people matter more than places. I was cheered by Jennifer’s friendly greeting at breakfast, Jay was prompt to resolve my urge for chocolate and, above all I must praise Khaled who calmly helped with what was, for me, a printing crisis.
MMINORUI recently stayed at the Muscat International Hotel and had a great experience. The service was excellent, with the staff being friendly and helpful. The facilities were clean and well-maintained, and the location was convenient.
I didn't have the opportunity to try the food, but there are some restaurants near by hotel.
Overall, I would highly recommend the Muscat International Hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable and affordable place to stay in Muscat.
GGuest UserThe hotel is 7 or 8 minutes walk from Qurum Beach, convenient to see the sea view, but there is no large business super nearby, restaurant. I am a girl, traveling alone, and the stay experience at this hotel is very poor. First of all, the taxi at the entrance of the hotel is the hotel's internal car team. The slaughter of passengers is serious and unreasonable. I took it once. The original fare of 5 rias was charged 10 rias. Finally, I took a more detour. When getting off the bus, the Arab driver shouted at me for 2 more riya, quite rude. When I left, I had to take a taxi to the airport and stopped a taxi at the door, but the uncle of the hotel taxi team called the other taxis and forced my luggage to his own trunk, not saying that they had to take the same price. I was angry, but they were unreasonable, and they argued with each other. I called the manager of the hotel, and the manager looked at it and then stood by! Secondly, during my stay, I was knocked on the door by a local drunk man in the next room. I later learned that this hotel has a bar, and the local wind is not good. I did see some local young ladies in and out of the evening dressed in cool clothes. . . The above wrote his own experience, hope to provide reference for the countrymen.
