The hotel is 7 or 8 minutes walk from Qurum Beach, convenient to see the sea view, but there is no large business super nearby, restaurant. I am a girl, traveling alone, and the stay experience at this hotel is very poor. First of all, the taxi at the entrance of the hotel is the hotel's internal car team. The slaughter of passengers is serious and unreasonable. I took it once. The original fare of 5 rias was charged 10 rias. Finally, I took a more detour. When getting off the bus, the Arab driver shouted at me for 2 more riya, quite rude. When I left, I had to take a taxi to the airport and stopped a taxi at the door, but the uncle of the hotel taxi team called the other taxis and forced my luggage to his own trunk, not saying that they had to take the same price. I was angry, but they were unreasonable, and they argued with each other. I called the manager of the hotel, and the manager looked at it and then stood by! Secondly, during my stay, I was knocked on the door by a local drunk man in the next room. I later learned that this hotel has a bar, and the local wind is not good. I did see some local young ladies in and out of the evening dressed in cool clothes. . . The above wrote his own experience, hope to provide reference for the countrymen.

The room is not bad, but the facilities are a bit old. You must use an adapter plug, otherwise you can't charge. There are no disposable toothbrushes and slippers, so you need to bring your own. The room is very quiet and recommended.

very good! The most satisfying hotel in Muscat. Newly opened, very clean, very spacious, almost 100 square meters in size. The most important thing is that the kitchen and laundry room are very practical, allowing us to make and eat dumplings during the winter solstice. The facilities are very complete. The only thing that can be improved is that I hope that the dishwasher cleaning blocks can be provided in time next time. Recommended to stay a few more days!

The location next to Panaroma Mall and Grand Mall is impeccable. There are Subway and coffee shops nearby. The hotel lobby is grand. There are many seats. Convenient to meet customers. The room was clean. new. Excellent service.
The only drawback is that the meals are too expensive. (It's not too expensive, the hotel standards in Oman are like this. Breakfast is 6 Oman.) It's cheap to eat outside the hotel.

It was terrible experience I had on this property (citadine al ghubrah muscat) I was traveling almost 24hours for holiday vacation, I selected this hotel to stay since near by the aiport, unfortunately I chosen the wrong hotel, upon check- in the lady receptionist asking me a full payment for the stay, I have no enough cash omr. But I have $ dollars with me, the total cost of my stay is only omr. 22 I have 15 omr and the rest 7 omr. I will pay by dollars, I informed the lady receptionist that I will pay the rest with $ dollars, she said that the hotel will not accept $ dollars, I was explained to her that I just came from the aiport and I was so tired shall I pay the rest by evening I have to exchange my dollars outside, or my cousin will come by evening and pay the rest of the amount cost of only omr. 7 or else I will quarantine my id or passport to keep , I will exchange the dollars outside by evening , but she refused me to check in, now I realize the discrimination /criticism,I decided to walk out and check in to other hotel, thank God other hotel very considerate not even asking the deposit even id's qurrantee, will I hope other guest will not experience the same treatment that I had experience , you have to improve your hospitality and service, especially front office staffs, never ever to booked this hotel anymore, many hotel choices in Muscat. We enjoyed our stay. The hotel is fresh and clean and the staff pleasant and very helpful. We had some minor hiccups in the room which were attended to politely and swiftly. It is possible to walk to shops and the beach but not convenient. Like most of Muscat, a car is really necessary to make the most of the visit

Outstanding
Lluke_middlebrookStaying at the Shangri La Al Husn Muscat has been one of the highlights of our time in the Middle East.
We decided to go for my girlfriends birthday and the team worked exceptionally well with me to deliver a unforgettable experience.
Getting to the Shangri La was a bit of a challenge and taxis do not come cheap in Oman. Though it was not challenging I do wish there was a pickup/drop off option for the guests.
The inclusive breakfast was wonderful and ordering off the menu assured that everything you ordered stayed fresh. There was a mixup with our order due to a language barrier but the food was still phenomenal.
The in room breakfast and room service was a highlight as it allowed you to take full advantage of the room and with the inbuilt heaters in the dining table assured the food stayed hot. The value for money on in room dining was disappointing as an order of a burger and fries came with a small amount of fries, however that was fixed with our next order.
The afternoon tea was delicious, highlights being the fromage and watermelon and the scones. Each afternoon tea was different and kept the palate excited.
The happy hour beverages were also included and always came with a suprise canapé from the restaurant.
In terms of the staycation, it was perfect. The interior and exterior of the hotel is beautiful and the sound of the ocean left you relaxed for the stay.
I would like to raise that there was a lot of sealife by the beach which deterred us from swimming in the sea as we had heard a lot about the Omani coast and didn’t have much confidence in the beach patrol and lifeguards there. We noticed some playing on their phones but they were always happy to assist taking a picture for the two of us. I would suggest a more upfront approach when it comes to what you can expect in the sea there.
A visitors lounge was also available allowing you to take full opportunity of the facilities till you left for your next adventure.
Sstarry时尚靓女Very good hotel, comfortable stay, all-around good 👍There are many varieties of breakfast, you can eat to your satisfaction. I will come back here next time.
GGuest UserThis is one of the best resort hotels we have ever encountered anywhere, although it also hosts conferences and business guests. We have returned four times. It was built by the previous Sultan as a palace for his guests. The current Sultan retains a suite in the hotel. The hotel has a fabulous pool, beach, extensive gardens and spa. The staff are motivated and engage with guests in a friendly and helpful way. The hotel is 30 - 40 minutes from Muscat airport and a bit less from central Muscat. Consider choosing a half-board deal which represents good value for the exceptionally varied food offering in the main restaurant. Avoid the searing heat of the summer months and visit November to early March. If you enjoy alcohol with your meals or at the pool-side check when Ramadan falls as drinking at this time is only allowed in your room.
GGuest UserHad a WoW experience. Nice and luxurious suite Very courteous staff. Would surely choose the same again and again. Very near to all the Malls and easy access to highways. Would like to give a special mention to the Receptionists
AABrand new hotel and clean. I loved my stay here and will stay here again if I'm ever back in Muscat. There isn't much in the area, but it is up and coming and short commutes to the beach and Mosque. The staff was friendly and the breakfast was pretty good. High Recommend!
GGuest UserI stayed for three or four nights. The hotel is a little remote and, in May, the outside temperature too high however I slept well, I liked the Belgian and Thai restaurants and enjoyed the gym. As ever, people matter more than places. I was cheered by Jennifer’s friendly greeting at breakfast, Jay was prompt to resolve my urge for chocolate and, above all I must praise Khaled who calmly helped with what was, for me, a printing crisis.
GGuest UserWhat a wonderful luxury break we’ve had at the Kempinski Hotel Oman. The staff in all areas of the hotel go above and beyond to meet your needs and requests. The giant pillows feel like you are sinking into a giant cloud of marshmallow. Little luxury, handmade treats are a welcomed gesture as you return to your beautifully maintained room after your busy day at work or pleasure. The food and hospitality is outstanding in the buffet restaurant, the staff will cater for everyone’s needs ( Marija x team and all the chefs are incredibly friendly and attentive). The vast range of cuisine from around the world is amazing, you will be spoilt for choice! The half board package includes soft drinks x tea/ coffee. The ladies in red are constantly available to support and meet your hotel needs, nothing is too much trouble. The poolside is relaxing and well maintained and directly overlooks a private beach. Ice cold bottles of water are regularly replenished by friendly pool staff. We highly recommend this hotel, it’s a short drive from the airport, and a five minute walk to a beautiful marina where you can access boats to go scuba diving and explore the beautiful marine life in the crystal clear sea. Oman and this hotel is a treasure that will not disappoint. We look forward to returning.!
GGuest UserShangri-la never stops surprising and raises the bar! The visit started with a welcome induction from Samira who escorted us to our room and guided us through all planned activities thus we did not miss anything. The day ended up with the most delicious grill from Maestro Mehdi!!! The best one so far in 2023. Thank you, Mehdi! The restaurant staff, though being busy during the Eid holidays with the guests, still managed it in a way that attention was paid to everyone. Breakfast was perfect. Cannot say anything about the lunch as we all got tired from all the activities and were sleeping like babies. In the evening the grill delight was repeated in the restaurant. Checking out was also nice though sad, we had to return to our routine but looking forward visiting Shangri-la again in the near future.
GGuest UserAmazing experience The staff was very friendly and the hotel was very clean and had delicious food Overall experience was very good and would definitely visit a second time and refer to my peers The hotel’s location was very close to al marina which isa nice place to spend the day and enjoy night walks Easy shopping and availability of stores
GGuest UserWhen I came after midnight (it was already Monday 27.03.2023) there were 3 men at the reception. All kind and helpful. One kindly accompanied me to the room. I'd assume he was a trainee. There was some noise at night that woke me up at night. Not sure where it was coming from, but probably from the corridor. I'd expect 4* hotel to be kind of sound proof like other hotels of that range are. When I was checking out at 7 AM the same day, I politely left the key card at the reception and greeted the receptionist, but he didn't seem to be interested in my presence. There was a grumpy and brusque receptionist at that time (short, well-groomed man). Such people shouldn't work in hospitality! In addition, when I was leaving the reception, he sighed deeply and out loud.. Such a frustrated person.. Breakfast was below the average for 4* hotels.
