B&B Sansevero Naples

We stayed here for 3 nights on the occasion of the 25th April long weekend. Structure in a fantastic location, a few steps from the historic center, and from public transport. Comfortable room equipped with every comfort. Clean and fragrant environment. Nice structure, he rested well. Room with balcony, excellent for us smokers! There is also a kitchen available for guests, we have not used it but it is equipped with everything. As soon as you leave the door you will find restaurants, pastry shops, bars, etc. we will return to Naples because it is an enchanting city as well as the people who live it and we will certainly stay in this b&b. Thanks to Andrew

The accommodation is well located. Despite saying that it has a private bathroom, it was located outside the room and quite far away, an aspect that should have been communicated in advance... The accommodation says that it has breakfast, but it is served in a cafe (we also only found out about this fact after we arrived). The family room is small for 4 people and the single beds are uncomfortable. Furthermore, there was always good communication with management via WhatsApp).
The Duomo House by House in Naples

Encouraged by the effusive reviews on this thread we booked for 2 nights. Our experience was not quite in line with the uncritical approvals that we had read. First, in its favour, the staff were very friendly, welcoming and helpful as reported by others. The pick up from the airport by a ‘private’ car really helped avoid the chaos around Arrivals. The fit out of this otherwise time-weary building was clever and showed sensitive creativity. The open access kitchen for guests was appreciated and the breakfast was thoughtful and generous. However…there were some issues. This part of town is not for everyone. If you want the immersive experience in the 'centro storico' with all of the mayhem that entails, fine. You should know that the entrance to the building is pretty scruffy with much needed security doors in place. Our room was the one heavily photographed on this thread. It looks down on a small Piazza in front of the cathedral. On the second evening a huge group of children started to play a very noisy game of football at around 6.00pm. They were still there when we returned from dinner and indeed until well past midnight which made sleep impossible without the aid of noise cancelling headphones. Not the hotel’s fault but thank goodness for technology! The room had a TV but as it could only receive 3 or 4 channels, it was of limited use. The (empty) mini fridge made such an irritating electrical buzzing that we had to pull the plug out. The safe, well that was hilarious. It was a tiny metal box, approximately 25cm square, only lockable with a key and… not attached to the wall or anything else! A thief could simply tuck it under his arm and be away. If you had hoped to be able to store your tablet or laptop safely you would be disappointed. The Bathroom was simply but inexpensively fitted out but already showing signs of wear. On the second day we returned in the afternoon to find that the Housekeeper’s keys had been left in our door-lock providing quick and easy access to anyone interested. We were asked to pay in cash to settle the bill as ‘we had booked directly and received best rates’. This was most peculiar. In a lifetime of travelling I have never been asked to pay cash to settle a hotel bill. We negotiated our way around this and payed in the usual way but still, most odd! And not mentioned by any of the other reviewers. The price was around €220 per night. For the same (actually slightly less) money we then stayed in a full service 4 star hotel in a smart part of town which while old fashioned in decor, was superior in most other respects. Sorry but a fair price for the Duomo House in our opinion would be around €150 and then you might be willing to forgive some of the shortcomings.

Roberta, the owner, is fabulous and super helpful. The location is wonderful, just 1 minute from ”Museo” metro station and a 5 minute walk to the old Greek area around Piazza Bellini with it's many bars and restaurants. My room had a balcony and a stunning view onto Via Cavour and the Museo Archeologico. A dream to wake up to every morning! Coffee is provided on tap in the communal kitchen and lounge area and a fridge for all of the guests to use. The supermarket is directly beside the guesthouse for stock of up of foods and wines. Napoli is a wonderful city and A Casa di Nina is THE perfect place to stay. Local, real, spacious, clean with comfy beds and a great shower. I will 100% be back! Grazie mille Roberta. A presto! I am mixed on this hotel. I think it is OK as a crash pad but we had some difficulties with the service. I booked the hotel through the HotelTonight website. It stated that checkin is available until midnight. Upon arrival, we could not access the interior. The call box was broken and nobody answered when I called the phone number. I had to call HotelTonight and it took a little bit for the proprietor to contact us and let us in. Naples does not have the safest feel when you're stuck outside late at night. Once we were able to access the interior, we made it to where the rooms were located. There was an envelope with the name of the room we were told to take. It included the key and some instructions. The room itself was acceptable. Nothing too fancy but also not a total dump. Not the type of place I'd want to stay for multiple nights, but we needed somewhere for the one night before heading to the Amalfi coast. There was a bed, small desk, and decent bathroom. To be fair to the hotel, the location felt different and safer in the daylight hours. It was close to a number of public transportation stops and seemed to be fairly convenient. I was able to get to the train station to pick up my rental car very quickly. Bottom line... OK place for a no frills room. Not where I'd stay for a longer stay in Naples.

What to say ... really at the center of everything!!! We stayed in this hotel for 3 nights: very comfortable, very spacious room with very large shower suitable for recovery after having turned all day to visit a city from the thousand faces. Abundant breakfast with fresh cornets, worthy of this name ...e not surgelati...come we are now used to eating almost everywhere! Inside the bank there is the smile of Aida ...e the excellent cappuccinos served with courtesy and professionality! Personal and owners all very gentle ...Marco knows to understand the client and give precious advice ... to optimize your stay and visit as much as possible depending on your personal taste! The hotel is less than two steps from the famous Sorbillo Pizzeria, via San Gregorio Armenia, from the Monastero di Santa Chiara, from the Capella San Severo etc ..... restaurants, tractors, pizzeria, bakery are at every meter along the courts ...in summary the only The problem is that you eat always in Naples! Sure when we come back to this city we will stay again in Naples ...
