The scenery is beautiful, and the bed is more comfortable than expected. We booked a loft and two double rooms. The loft has a courtyard and a terrace bathtub, and the hot spring ends at 0 o'clock. There are a lot of tableware for dinner and breakfast, but they are too exquisite and I didn't eat enough. It's just average. The bathroom shower is also clean. The hotel provides kimonos for free. It's fun to wear kimonos and drink and chat in the room. There are Chinese waiters. If you bring your own wine, you will be charged a corkage fee of 2,000 yen/bottle. In the morning, after going down the mountain, you will see the deer park.

This hotel is located on Mount Wakakusa in Nara. The location is a bit remote, but the scenery is really great, especially in the early morning, when you see the entire Nara city shrouded in mist, it is super beautiful.
The room is a traditional Japanese tatami room, which is quite comfortable but not too luxurious. The hot spring is open-air, so you can soak in it while looking at the mountain view, which is really relaxing. However, the hot spring pool is not big and may be a bit crowded if there are many people.
Dinner was kaiseki, and the portion was a bit too much for us.
Generally speaking, this place is suitable for people who want to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city and relax. Just be mentally prepared. This place is quite quiet and there are not many entertainment facilities. The focus is on relaxation.

I stayed here once in 2016 and I never forgot it. I like this hot spring hotel very much. The environment is good, the service is good, and the banquet is delicious. So I booked two more nights this time. Overall, I feel that the hotel is too old and not as clean as before. The quilt smells like meat. Maybe the quilt core has not been changed for a long time. I told the front desk the next day and it was changed in the evening. I don’t know what machine the hotel turned on on the first night. The room was noisy all night. My ears were vibrating against the pillow. I was too tired and fell asleep after taking sleeping pills. After I told the hotel, it was very quiet on the second night. The open-air bath is very nice and the tatami is very comfortable. However, the overall property is older than expected, and the room I stayed in had mold spots on the walls. The food was very poor. It was the two worst meals I had during my entire trip to Japan. It wasn’t just that it was light, but there really wasn’t anything delicious except rice: (The total price was HKD3xxx per night, which was way overpriced.
