We had an amazing holiday in this beautiful resort. Staff were so helpful and friendly. Room was well equipped and comfortable with all the amenities. Nice sea view rooms. This is the best place in negambo if you search a relaxing holiday. Pool and surroundings are amazing. Restaurant staff were friendly and always with a smile. Special thank to chathuranga. And from the arrival to departure Front Office team well cared us. Thank you so much Mr.Prasanna/ Mr.Riyas for your great hospitality. We will certainly come back. Cheers. Nelka & Dileepa

The hotel is very good, I set the annex, it is opposite, noisy along the street, but the rooms are relatively clean. In addition, you can enjoy all the equipment in the main building. The swimming pool is nice and the hotel has a private beach which looks great. The service staff were very good. Breakfast is very generous, single room set, but with children, only 850 rubles (33 yuan) for half-price breakfast. The next day I stayed at the Jetwing lake hotel under Lion Rock, great!

Breakfast is generally but a large amount, relatively simple, medium and medium rules. The room is huge, the bathroom is huge, there are slippers, but there is no toothpaste toothbrush, no water, the hotel door has a small supermarket in a few tens of meters, it is convenient, there are food, there are fruits. The hotel is not far from the north of the lagoon, the hotel beach is good.

This was my third stay at the Goldi Sands, honestly, the last time was nearly 20 years ago but I had such a great time back then I had high expectations. In the intervening 20 years, the hotel has had a revamp, double the size, double the number of swimming pools, added an elevator and they've removed the beach-fronted bungalows. All of which I think was a smart move and well worth doing. What has changed is the service and the catering. The staff are of course all very polite just that they didn't go the extra mile like they used to. We arrived late as our flight had been delayed, all I wanted was a couple of bottles of beer, they did arrive but I almost had to beg. I booked a taxi to the airport with the front desk, but they forgot, the waitresses at dinner were all about the hard upsell rather than serving. The breakfast as far as my memory serves me used to be awesome, today's breakfast is the same every day and lacks imagination, is poorly presented, and includes the worst coffee ever. The hotel has a confusing number of tariffs from all-inclusive to room only which means if you want to buy a drink it takes forever as they have to check your ”status” and then if you pay cash they have to go to the cashier as they carry no float. The rooms are a good size, clean and comfortable but basic. All in all it is still a good hotel to choose but sadly it is no longer in the memorable category.

Breakfast is 3 US dollars per person, but the quality is very good. We originally spent the night in Negombo, and the elephant orphanage the next day, in fact, there is really no need to waste money in the elephant orphanage. Because I only used Ctrip to watch, I feel that Negombo has no good hotels at all. In fact, there are many good hotels here! There are many delicious gourmet shops. But to book this kind of reservation, Ctrip has very few listings.

Home coming function of my brother was held at Olenro has been the most relaxing and enjoyable so far for me. Banquet management and staff understood all our requirements and catered to them to the best of theirability. And also provided an excellent service, even in handling last minute requests. Warm showers, great beds and the long experience of the proprietor, Mr Mark Thamel, makes for a great and safe guest house to stay in. You get the best, to the minute, travel tips there. Emails are answered quickly and your whole itinerary can be secured with Mr Thamel's knowledgeable organization. He can book hotels, find a comfortable car and experienced driver for you. Or something more impulsive where you make lodging decisions as you go. Also where to get return trip covid testing etc. You are in good hands. And the value is outstanding - I've traveled many times to Sri Lanka and his care is the best to be found - all at very reasonable price. He knows the country like the back of his hand, including all the best hotel deals, and has arranged trips to the farthest most isolated parts of the country for me. Those discoveries allowed me to experience the most authentic view of Sri Lanka possible. In my last trip this January, I mentioned to Dennis (perfect driver, totally in tune with the kind of trip I wanted) that I'd like to buy a Sri Lankan nativity creche. Dennis phoned Mr Thamel and he had it waiting for me at the end of my trip. You wont just get a travel planner and guest house proprietor, you will get a true friend in Sri Lanka. I was so lucky the day I first contacted him.
