Jetwing Sea ★★★★
"It was a nice stay. All the facilities were good and the staff were very helpful"
Story House ★★
"Such a lovely place to stay. Great view over the lagoon, watch the fishermen boats drifting by, sunsets are so beautiful. What made my stay so special was the host.He was so kind, even woke up before sunrise to walk me to the bus station making sure I could then travel on safetly yo my next destination. Room had a fan but srill found it a bit hot. It did not worry me anout the cold shower as it was quite a relief. Clean room and comfy bed. Definitely come and stay here."
Limeshine Hotels and Residence ★★★
"The hotel rooms and service were excellent. Having a supermarket right across from the hotel was incredibly convenient. However, the airport pick-up service was a bit pricey (5000 rupees, including the wait at the airport). If you arrive during the day, taking an Uber would be much cheaper."
Bohemian Nest ★★★★
"Our stay at Bohemian Nest was nice. The room is very spacious and tidy. The best was very large. The bathroom is nice and tidy. Breakfast was good and so was the pool. The location is near the airport so it is perfect for a stay before or after a flight. There is not much in terms of shopping or food near the hotel but it is easy to get food delivered. The staff were very nice and helpful."
Amagi Aria Airport Transit Hotel ★★★★★
"Good service and friendly staff"
Ceylon Kingsmen Garden Hotel - Katunayake ★★
"Was in transit and stayed one night. It is a beautiful reserve for plants of various species. Very clean and comfortable room. Would definitely return and recommend!"
Earl's Regent Negombo ★★★★★
"I stayed here for just one night during my stay in Sri Lanka. Despite checking in at around 1am, the staff welcomed me very politely and I was able to stay with peace of mind. The view from the room was wonderful, and I was able to relax in a quiet, calm atmosphere. The breakfast the next morning was also delicious, and I was pleased with the attentive service. Although my stay was short, I would definitely stay at this hotel again if I have the opportunity. Thank you!"
Pledge Scape ★★★★
"Very clean, large rooms. Big beautiful breakfast, try the Sri Lankan breakfast - be weary it is spicy, but delicious. This was our first night in Sri Lanka and a great taste of what is to come. Toilet and bathroom clean, shower low pressure but does the job! Atmosphere is ambient"
Serene Villa Airport Transit ★★★
"Thos is the best property for a short transit saty. Very near to the airport"

Ace Airport Transit Hotel
"No one answered when I rang the hotel doorbell, and when I called, a staff member came about 30 minutes later and told me that we were the only guests booked that day and that the electricity wouldn't work. I booked it simply because it was close to the airport, but the location is hard to find and there are no shops nearby. Also, the hotel garden was unkempt, full of weeds, and swarming with mosquitoes. I told the staff member who came that I would cancel if there was no electricity. After I booked another hotel and headed there, the owner called and told me to come back because they would turn on the electricity. Furthermore, they said they wouldn't refund my money if I didn't stay. You should absolutely not stay here."
Goldi Sands Hotel
"We arrived at this Hotel on 28th February for a two week stay. We have been to Sri Lanka many times and picked this hotel as we were celebrating our 50th Wedding Anniversary and the name sounded apt for such an occasion. On our arrival we were checked in very efficiently and given a cool welcome drink our room 109 was allocated on the first floor and gave wonderful views of the beach an sea beyond. Whilst this room is in part of the original hotel building it was clean and comfortable there were tea coffee making facilities two large bottles of water replenished each day a small fridge and an in room safe located in the wardrobe a comment here is that the wardrobe had plenty of hangers but the rail is rather high so my wife was unable to reach it !! The usual room fitments including a large TV which we didn't use but was available bathroom large walk in showers with shampoo soap but no shower gel good sized hand basin and a hairdryer One thing I will say is throughout our stay the hot water was always hot. The cleaning of the rooms on a daily basis was always to a high standard. There was a large patio with two large room doors which once again the opening bolt was too high for my wife. two wooden seats adorned the patio where you could watch the sun set should you not be in the bar! The air conditioning was very good and was on 100% of the time as it was extremely hot There was also a ceiling fan a small couch was by the patio doors. lighting in the evening could have been brighter so it was a little difficult to read. We stayed on an All Inclusive basis which included beer and most locally produce drinks the lion Beer is very Good and my wife didn't moan about the Gin and tonic ! She did love the non alcoholic fruit juice which was fresh fruit in a blender very nice. There are two bars the main bar and a pool bar situated at the end of a sheltered area but between the main pool and the infinity pool. All the staff were very friendly polite and the service was excellent one thing about the AI plan was you had to sign each time you had a drink not really a problem but extra work for the staff. The pool area is very nice lots of shade and operated by really lovely pool attendants who ensured you got you pool towels and arranged sun beds for you either around the pool or on the beach The dining room is huge make sure you get a table near the beach side as it does tend to get very warm even though there are fans and now windows walls etc. Every meal is a buffet except for one lunchtime when low occupancy dictated a fixed meal. The variety of food is very good there is always curry yes even at breakfast I had to have fish curry and Dal !!! all in all the food was very tasty the service was excellent and the staff extremely friendly and helpful The tea Dilmah of course was very good. At dinner time there was usually a couple of musicians who played an array of tunes whilst you dined. Most nights were themed food from various continents but as I in"
The Beach Apartments
"Hygiene: Poor Environment: Poor Facilities: Poor Summary: Not good anyway"
Hotel Shanelo
"The hotel room has a stinky face and a very cold attitude. After observing it, it is not only cold to us but also to all Western tourists. There was no quilt. It was almost freezing at night and I took out my own clothes to cover myself. There were no toiletries or shampoo and shower gel in the bathroom. I don’t care about other things. From what I’ve observed so far, it seems that this country doesn’t know what a quilt is. Why is it that every hotel doesn’t have one?"
Jetwing Beach
"Such a fantastic hotel located bang on the beach…this is the third time I’ve been to this hotel over the years and whenever I travel to Sri Lanka I HAVE to stay here as it’s so calm and relaxing to be right in the beachfront…next time I’m in Sri Lanka again I will definitely come back !"
Vivanta Colombo, Airport Garden
"Avrage"
Sentido Heritance Negombo
"It suited its purpose to be close to the airport, but otherwise there is not much to do in the area neither in the hotel. I would not stay longer than necessary. The hotels facilities are basic, rooms a bit outdated, though gym is quite good. Pool is nice and breakfast tasty and good variety"
Amora Lagoon Hotel
"On the first day of arriving in Sri Lanka, we were not far from the airport. On the trail, the hotel had a swimming pool and the air conditioner was noisy. Also because it was close to the airport, planes were noisy at night. But the long journey is tiring and I can’t sleep. I left my leather shoes in this hotel on the first day."
Jetwing Ayurveda Pavilions
"I spent two nights at JAP for a relaxing getaway before heading back home to the US. It was wonderful. The hotel grounds are beautiful, and enhance the sense of calm. My villa was lovely, with a private verandah and garden where you could choose to have your treatments. I had two hours of treatments each day (my package included treatments and breakfast). The massages and treatments with Ruwan were exceptional. He had excellent skills and was able to almost eliminate a very painful jaw condition, as well as find and address various other stress points. I would return just to be treated by him again. The food was delicious and healthful. You have a choice of following the diet recommended by the Aryuvedic doctor or order from a menu. I enjoyed both. There are also many choices of food and restaurants within a short walk. The staff were uniformly friendly and welcoming and guests are also allowed to use the pool at their sister property, Jetwing Blue, which is just 400 meters away. They also have morning yoga and evening meditation for guests. Thanks to everyone, and especially Ruwan, for an excellent stay."
Hotel Sico
"Staff were attentive, professional and friendly and actively ensured that our needs were met. The rooms were spacious, well equipped and the bathrooms cleaner than many similar establishments ie actually clean around the edges as well as the amenities. There was also a lift! Wonderful and not such a usual feature in Sri Lanka's three storey accommodations. There is a restaurant on the ground floor for breakfast however we were encouraged to have dinner on the rooftop with views of the town. The tuk tuk fare to town was LKR260. The breakfast was good."
8 Plus Motels
"The kids love the place thanks for everything"
The Nature Villa and Cabanas
"The settings and pool are fabulous. The accommodations look amazing. However mine was damp smelly and I felt stuffy and had headaches every day. Windows at night couldn’t be open due to monkeys etc The owners guna was a lovely man…he really was but he failed to solve anything ref the room. Felt he wasn’t concerned at all. Building work started 8am- gone 6pm which was not at all relaxing by pool or morning coffee. I failed to do my yoga as noise was too much. I have to say with the smell damp and noise I did not enjoy my stay at all. Although food staff & settings were lovely"
Terrace Green Hotel & Spa
"It was already past 9pm when we landed in Colombo, so we found a moderate hotel near Negombo to spend the night. Take an Uber from the airport to the hotel and it will take about 20 minutes to arrive. The hotel is in a small alley, about 4 floors up, and there is no elevator. The unique environment at the beach is a bit humid, and the same is true in the room. There is a small balcony, which is quite comfortable to sit on in the morning. Breakfast is still okay, I can get used to it. It takes about 10 minutes to walk to the beach. There are many dogs on the road, so don't mess with them."
Nebula Residence
"Very nice and calm place! They also booked a good driver for a reasonable price for me."
Camelot Beach Hotel
"Although the room is not very big, it has a balcony facing the beach and swimming pool. It is still very comfortable with the evening breeze. The sanitation is good, and the breakfast variety is quite complete, which is worthy of the room price. The service attitude is very good, and there is no request for tips. Overall satisfied."
Ayuda Boutique Hotel Sri Lanka, Negombo
"Lovely hotel in a convenient location between Negombo and Colombo. The room was very comfortable, huge and very nicely decorated. There was also a large bathroom with a powerful shower. We really enjoyed the food at the hotel. The breakfasts were delicious with a lot choice and the evening meals were also top quality. Far and away the best part of a stay were the staff. Everyone was incredibly helpful and kind, particularly the lady in charge. She arranged cars and tuks tuks wherever we wanted to go and even offered to help us with the rest of our trip if we encountered any issues."
