Tryp by Wyndham New York City Times Square - Midtown Reviews

After checking in, we headed to our room only to find we were given the wrong room. We booked a 2 queen and sofa bed for 5 people. I headed downstairs to be told that I booked that room. I pulled out my verification to show them I clearly had confirmation for the premium room to accommodate 5 people. They would not even look at my confirmation. They told me the room booking they were sent said 3 adults and 2 queen beds. I asked to see it but they would not allow me. They said it was against their policy to show me the reservation on their computer. They said they were sold out and I was welcome to go somewhere else. Of course, no one had any available rooms. They offered us a cot at a charge of course! Very rude and not accommodating. I will not recommend Tryp by Wyndham.

Location of this hotel is excellent, it's very close to Times Square, Madison Garden and the train station. Room was clean, the wallpaper behind the bed was peeling but the rest of the room and bathroom were great. Our AC unit was not working when we first checked in and we did have some difficulty getting someone to fix it. Once we were able to get someone to our room the gentleman fixed it super quickly. They also offer in room dining which is nothing fancy but came to our room very fast. This hotel also offered number of amenities such as an on-site bar and gym but we were not there long enough to explore. I would stay here again if ever in the area.

It was very fun, nice location in nyc. Fun around there and good restaurants.

Twice I booked to say I this hotel and twice the hotel was shut down please start checking your hotel before you put them on the market pictures don't mean anything this app need to be updated hotel is not even open

The location is perfect, in the middle of New York, a few steps from Madison Square Garden. The "restaurant" is - typically American - fast food instead of a restaurant. The hotel was overbooked during our stay, so the room we had actually chosen was unfortunately not available 😕 As a result, the service was unfortunately overwhelmed. We had to wait at least 30 minutes to check in, which was very annoying after a transatlantic flight.

Broken curtains, bad bed, very thin and worn duvet, the room that sleeps 6 people has a terrible sofa bed that hurts your back and makes noise. I do not recommend this hotel, our experience was not pleasant, it was supposed to be comfortable for the price but it left a lot to be desired. It was our first family trip. Good location as you can walk to Times Square! It said that payment would be made on site, but it was paid at the time of reservation! A deposit will also be taken on-site! Please note that toothbrush and pajamas are not included! I had reserved only a queen bed, but when I checked in, there was a queen bed and a bunk bed, which was helpful.
