A premium hotel & hotspring in kinugagawa onsen, this hotel also is famous all over japan, because of superb hotspring creation made by a big rock, very new & romantic interior design especially in the lobby,w/ an luxurios chandelier, the outside view is amazing, the famous fureai bridge in kinugawa & river is in the front ,very nice autumn view outside, the room is big,but don't have a telephone & dresser, the food is superb but if you want to drink alcohol, you need to reserve from the front desk during check-in.Intagramable view inside & outside, but don't go here by walking with baggage because of the high stairs in fureai bridge, there's a shuttle bus but you need to pay 300yen.Overall,you can feel the scenic views even you don't go outside,Thanks always Trip.com for very nice booking, more power & God bless always

It is a very relaxing hotel, about 20 minutes' walk from the station. The hotel has complete facilities, the rooms are spacious, there are many choices for breakfast and dinner buffets, and the bath is very comfortable. It is worth going back.

After the renovation, it was ok. The room was big. You need to make an appointment at the front desk for dinner, but they don't check it... It caused a fight for dinner on weekend nights... The table with the menu turned over would be occupied by others. Finally, I asked the waiter to coordinate...

The baths are spacious and it's great that you can use different baths in the morning and evening. The staff were also very kind and helpful, telling me about the surrounding facilities.

The room is large, with a bed and tatami. The view outside the window is also good. The buffet was very good, with free drinks such as beer and Japanese drinks. Most of the people who come to stay in the hotel are senior citizens. The hot spring is very good

The room facilities are old and the health condition is average. The indoor hot spring is not bad. The outdoor hot spring floor is a bit dirty. There are many flying insects. I dare not soak outdoors. The hotel buffet dinner is very rich and the breakfast is average.

I was curious about this hotel since it has been renovated as a premium hotel, so I stayed there for the second time. Good points: I stayed in a semi-suite, so the room was spacious and clean, and one of the two TVs was connected to the internet, so I was able to watch YouTube and Netflix. Watching Netflix after a hot spring bath is the best! The buffet was also good for the price. It was nice to be able to relax in the lounge with all-you-can-drink beer and wine. Bad points: Although it has been renovated, the building itself is old, so there is an unpleasant smell in the hallways. There was a hole in the shoji screen of the semi-suite room. Kinugawa itself is deserted, so there is no appealing sightseeing in the surrounding area, and the hotel is inconvenient to access, with only one bus per hour. I used to stay at this hotel when I wanted to travel cheaply to a hotel in Oedo Onsen, but didn't want to stay at I◯en! But now that it is premium, I think I would stay at a different hotel at this price.

Very Good

I went to experience the refurbished premium. Originally, I thought it was a reasonably priced inn with a lounge with free drinks including alcohol and a nice atmosphere in the open-air bath, even though it was part of Oedo Onsen Monogatari. The lounge, restaurant, and large public bath were renovated to a premium feel. I wonder if the rooms were mainly renovated for the higher class rooms? Since I was using the standard room, I didn't notice any major changes. The carpet in the Western-style room may be new. The snacks in the lounge are gone and there are only drinks and popsicles, and dinner is the same as before, with self-serve steamed seafood and a slightly luxurious dessert 🟰 Häagen-Dazs, steamed pudding, hot apple pie, etc. on the table, and the large public bath has become more convenient in many ways. These are the premium changes that even I noticed. The price has also become premium.

The carpet and the room have been renovated and are in good condition. The only thing worth the premium is the spacious lounge. The baths are alternated between men and women at night and in the morning. Both have open-air baths, but the ceiling of one is made of aluminum sashes, and the other is the floor of the building. The definition of the open-air bath is not clear, so it is average considering maintenance and the weather. The buffet-style meals are average, and the bespoke wagyu teppanyaki is great value for money. Definitely add it.

I stayed here on a family trip. I don't like old hotels, but I decided to stay here because it was completely renovated in July. First of all, the exterior is very old. There is a monument near the entrance, and it has a Showa-era feel. Once inside, the lobby is very clean and tidy. Drinks and ice cream are available and you can drink and eat as much as you like until 10pm. It said that it opens at 10am, but the kids looked disappointed that they were still preparing. The room and building look nice at first glance, but this type of hotel, which is a hotel that buys old hotels and rebuilds them, always has a shoddy feel to it. I can tell that the toilet was replaced, but the floor around the toilet is different in size from the previous toilet and is bald, there is a mysterious wall in the shower room, and the edges of the wall are old. I think the service was good. The front desk staff, etc. I also think the location is good. It's a good place to have fun at a reasonable price, but you can feel the oldness of the hotel.
