There were two nights, breakfast delicious, the breads from the baker from the place, hm delicious. Shower some narrow but the room distribution in the bathroom is good. The sauna is very spacious. Service very friendly. Location good, you get quickly to the south city and can reach the Nürnberg Forest from the hotel. Come back
Best Western Hotel Nuernberg am Hauptbahnhof

I arrived at the hotel at less than 10 in the morning. The receptionist was very nice and immediately gave the key to check in. (Few hotels are willing to check in early). The only downside is that there is no elevator, but I still carry my luggage on the 2nd floor. The room was originally known to be not air-conditioned, but there was an electric fan. not bad. About 4-5 minutes from the train station.
Premier Inn Nuernberg City Nordost

Excellent service, very friendly and helpful staff. We were able to charge our ice packs in their kitchen's freezer. Amenities: Unfortunately one set of towels was missing in the double room. Very strict anti-smoking policy (top!) for which you sign a document for approval when you check in. In case of violation €250 (Euro) fine. Another downside is that €8 parking costs were charged.
Hotel am Jakobsmarkt

There is a parking lot, but the residents have to pay, 14 Euro a day, the room is very small. The breakfast is ok, it is a buffet, the hotel is fairly convenient to get in and out, and you can walk to the old town in 10 minutes.

BEWARE OF THIS ”TOURIST SCAM”. IT SHOULD BE CLOSED BY THE AUTHORITIES. Worst ”hotel” ever. (It's not a hotel, it's something between a hostel and a ”dump”, as Bette Davis or Liz Taylor would say). We made a reservation for two rooms. Getting there late (around midnight), there was no one at the reception, just a machine where you type your reservation code. Guess what, we had paid for two rooms but received a door code for just one room. There was no one to complain to (everything completely empty, very creepy), and no one answered at the ”emergency phone number”. My friend was able to get into her room (extremely simple room, without even a shower or bath, and who knows when they last washed the sheets) but I had to book a new room at the machine, paying thus double. Okay, finally I got a door code. But then what happened? The door code didn't work! Tried it millions of times. It was weird, because the door lock requested a 6-digit code and the given code had only four digits. Anyway, I tried it even in different combinations and it never worked. I could not get into the room. And I didn't want to pay a third time. So I didn't sleep that night and just walked around the empty corridors, like a ghost in the ”Shining” movie. We left very early in the morning and still there wasn't anyone at the reception. Back home, I wrote an email requesting a refund or at least an explanation. No one even bothered to reply. Don't let the central location and (apparent) cheap price fool you. DO. NOT. GO. TO. THIS. PLACE.
