I booked a single room at the Venice Guest House for my trip to Hong Kong. To be honest, at first glance at the price, I was a bit apprehensive, fearing the room might be too small or the environment not great. But after checking in, it was truly much better than I expected! First, I have to praise the front desk staff – incredibly warm and friendly! Knowing it was my first time visiting Hong Kong, they not only quickly processed my check-in but also patiently introduced me to local delicacies and tourist attractions nearby. They even told me the most convenient way to take the MTR and advised me on places that are lively to visit at night. It really warmed my heart 🥰 As for the room, I booked a single room, and in a place like Hong Kong where every inch is precious, the space wasn't huge, but the layout was very reasonable, and it was kept extremely clean and tidy. The bed was just the right firmness, and I slept very comfortably. Basic amenities like air conditioning, hot water, and Wi-Fi were all well-equipped, and the hot water came out quickly, making showers very refreshing. The overall environment was better than what I imagined from the pictures online, and I felt very secure staying there. The location is also very convenient, with a vibrant local atmosphere around. Downstairs, there are convenience stores and local tea restaurants, and right outside the building is an MTR station! This is super friendly for tourists like me who mainly rely on public transportation. Overall, this guesthouse excels in cleanliness, convenience, and excellent service, offering great value for money. If I visit Hong Kong again, I would definitely consider staying here and would recommend it to friends on a budget who still want a comfortable stay!

On the ground floor, there were quite a few foreigners, seemingly all exchanging currency. The hotel is located in Block B, so you need to walk further inside and take the elevator. It's quite close to Tsim Sha Tsui MTR station Exit N5. Right outside the building, there's an international mall, which is convenient for shopping. However, the fan inside was quite noisy, and the air conditioning wasn't really on. The overall hygiene of the building seemed just okay. The front desk staff were very nice and showed me how to use the key card access. A thoughtful touch was that they provided an adapter, as mainland Chinese and Hong Kong sockets are different.

Although the hotel is small, it has everything you need. The only thing missing is a washer-dryer. There's a 24-hour laundromat up the street. Everyone who comes here absolutely *must* try the beef offal at the nearby corner shop – it's genuinely delicious, only 40 HKD for a small bowl. The owner is also very nice. The lady at the front desk on the 1st floor speaks Mandarin. She can switch seamlessly between Cantonese, Mandarin, and English, which is really impressive. I didn't use the hotel's bedding; I'm not particularly fussy about comfort or quality, as long as I can sleep, I'm good. If you're taking the elevator, 'G' doesn't stand for the basement, it stands for the ground floor lobby. Every time I went downstairs, I kept pressing 1, but it wouldn't budge. Also, what Xiaohongshu says about walking on the right isn't entirely accurate; there are many rules that depend on the situation. When getting on any bus, big or small, you tap your card *first*, not when you get off. However, pressing the bell to get off is indeed correct. Xiaohongshu really misled me; it's a rip-off. My main mode of transportation these past few days has been the bus. I had plenty of time, so I chose this option, but it still ended up costing a lot. At first, I was like, 'What's this 20 bucks? What's this 30 bucks? No way, I'm not buying it.' Now, it's '120 is fine, 130 is fine.' I just feel like I don't earn enough money. When bringing things back, always check in advance if they're allowed through customs. Hong Kong has everything, but prices are double those on the mainland. It's not just for us; it's the same for ordinary residents too. If you find dining out expensive, you can follow local Hong Kong residents and buy two or three takeaway meals – meaning two or three dishes. The packed meals are quite good. When I returned, I had successfully brought back the habit of walking on the left side of the road from over there. I feel like I'm becoming more polite. 😂

Located in Chungking Mansions, the surrounding area isn't very clean, and the facilities are quite poor. The good thing is that it's right next to the subway station, only a 5-minute walk away, and about 2 kilometers from Victoria Harbour.

Overall, it was a stay that met my expectations. The hotel's location is excellent, with convenient transportation and affordable prices, and the room facilities are also quite good. They don't provide toiletries or drinking water, so you need to bring your own. Although the room size is small, like most Hong Kong hotels, it features a relatively reasonable and practical space distribution thanks to clever design, which is quite rare. If I had to pick a flaw, there's basically only one: the soundproofing of the room is really poor, especially since the window faces the street directly and is located at a traffic light. The engine noise from large vehicles starting and stopping is quite noticeable, especially at night. For light sleepers, it would be very difficult to fall asleep. It's a bit disappointing for a hotel that otherwise does quite well in other aspects. If they could just improve the window soundproofing, the overall living experience would be greatly enhanced.

The place is budget friendly, there’s a separate room for boys and girls which is very nice, but it’s kinda noisy especially morning because you are sharing the room not just with one person but it’s understandable. Advice to put a toilet brush because when I used the toilet there’s some marks that’s left and it’s disgusting

I was afraid before book because I saw some bad comments on trip about this guest house, but after book when I arrived at place for check in, there was nothing bad , Receptionist staff very nice personality, they ask me 15% service charge pay by cash because that service charge mentioned on my booking voucher pay at arrival. Fortunately I keep cash with me upon check in because they accept only cash. Because I'm living in Hong Kong that's I always keep cash with me. I was surprised because receptionist boy can speak good English, Chinese, Tagalog and many other languages.After check in progress they give me room with 4 person dorm. The room was very clean and bed also comfortable for me. Good air conditioner and hot water.Everything is nearby perfect location in cheaper price. Hong Kong is very expensive city so may be in this price my stay is wonderful.

When you first arrive at this hostel, it can be a bit confusing to find your way around. Pay attention to other people's reviews with attached photos. You'll also be sent instructions on the website itself, so study them carefully. The bed itself is good, and I shared a room with a couple of Chinese girls. Sound does travel into the capsule, but it's muffled. There's a mirror. However, the 220V power outlet is on the outside, so bring a longer cable and don't forget an adapter. There's a USB port inside.

I'm a small person, so I often worry about safety when traveling alone, but there's absolutely no need to worry about that at this hostel. Although Fung Ming Building is indeed an older building, I think the price for two nights during the National Day holiday was excellent value for money. The most important thing is that the uncle at the front desk is incredibly polite and friendly. He speaks Mandarin and will personally guide you to your room. How to find the front desk: First, navigate to Fung Ming Building. Take the elevator to the 1st floor (which is equivalent to the second floor in mainland China; the first floor in Hong Kong is G). Exit the elevator and turn left until you see the hotel's signboard. Then, turn right into the small alley directly facing the hotel signboard. The front desk is in a white door on your right as you walk straight down this alley. There's also a 'The Room' signboard next to the door. A HKD 100 cash deposit is required for check-in and will be refunded upon departure. What's provided: There's a common terrace, perfect for introverts who don't want to eat or do makeup in a crowded dormitory. The terrace has a hot water kettle, water dispenser, and refrigerator (a hot water kettle and refrigerator are also available in the room). Bottled iced water and drinks are also provided. The quad room has bed curtains, a mirror, a lamp, a small table, and a UK standard adapter for charging on each bed. The bathroom is inside the room, so you don't have to go out to a communal bathroom like in other youth hostels. All in all, it's great value. I highly recommend it!
