Island Echos 2nd - 3rd Floor Condos

This is not going to be a nice review of condo 6D. Let’s begin: 1. I am glad I went to take a nap at 4pm when we first got to the condo instead of 10 that night to find out our bed was soaking wet from … It seems the room above had a water leak. The mattress was flipped and sheets replaced, but what a way to start a vacation. 2. It took us a day to finally figure out why we had no regular TV stations: we had no cable TV! Nothing but the apps that came with the TV. 3. No dish rags to clean up messes. 4. The huge clock in the living room was dead. 5. The light bulb on the front porch was out, reported, and never fixed. We could not see the code box on the door at night to get us in the room. 6. One day there was no cold water for a shower, except the drips from a leak in the shower ceiling from the room above! 7. And, yes, the leak in the bedroom reappeared at 2am on another day. We went to Sheraton to sleep the rest of the night. I complained about all of the above and thought I should get a rental reimbursement; this was not a vacation living in a dump. I received the Sheraton reimbursement and $140 discomfort appeasement.

Of the places I've stayed, I'd give this one a 2.5. I stayed in Unit 2L FIRST, THE PROS... The room had a great view of the gulf. Also, I loved the access to the room upon arrival. They send codes to the front gate and to the room, so you can access the room without delay immediately your arrival at the arranged time. I also like the fact that the facilities are laid back and quiet. I also like the fact that the flooring is all tile (NO carpet). Everything is convenient, including parking. Trash disposal is easy and close by. NOW FOR THE CONS... First, let's address cleanliness!!! Although the floor did not show dirt, a look at the bottom of one's white socks upon just walking across the unit made you want to immediately throw them in the wash and wear shoes the entire time. In addition, all the dishes were covered with some sort of residue, wo these all had to be washed. Sleep was difficult in the main bedroom unit due to the fact that two windows had levered translucent plastic blinds which had broken shades with sections missing. Worse, there were NO curtains whatsoever, and the room overlooked the pool area which was lit up all night. So if you're used to sleeping in the dark, this is definitely a challenge. The room clearly showed a lot of signs of wear and tear, the bed included. The mattress was so sunken it was like sleeping in a tree hammock. Now let's cover what was insufficient or NOT included... - This is the first lodging I arranged that had NO hair dryer in the unit. - The kitchen barely had enough utensils and dishes to do anything, so we found ourselves going to the store to purchase some basic utensils. Also, a number of things were not addressed until I after arrived. In the unit, an informational sheet was provided explaining the fact that there is no laundry facilities in the room. There is though, a laundromat on the lower level of the building.

Don't stay here. The condo is updated and beautiful, and the ocean views are amazing, but that is where the compliments end. We arrived to an unclean condo. Filth left everywhere. Only the trash had been taken. Mirrors dirty, tables and counter tops dirty, carpet and flooring very dirty. Bathrooms dirty. Trash under all the furniture. We complained to the front office, and the lady sent us a cleaning crew. Some random woman and her boyfriend show up, they don't speak any English so they don't understand when I say re-clean the entire unit. I had to go behind them and show them what they missed as they swept the floor. Sweeping did nothing and they missed the trash under everything until I showed them. They ran out without finishing! Did not correct anything I mentioned above. We ended up buying cleaning supplies and cleaning and vacuuming ourselves. We also told them to change all the sheets and they put dirty sheets on the bed!!! I'm positive they did that on purpose because they were mad to have to come clean. You have been warned.

Definitely will be back. We went in November 2021 for our anniversary & it was perfect. Not too busy & weather was great. The room was amazing but bed needed a new mattress. Other than that, the place was perfect. Great furniture & necessities. Nice employees as well & ours had 2 beach chairs included. It was very enjoyable. We jave been talking about it every year since. Trying to make time to go back. Check it out if you can. We were onthe 4th floor near NO. I think 4M. It was nice.

The first time we stayed here was 1 year ago this month. when we leave tomorrow, it will be after our 3rd stay and we have already booked our 4th for December. We have stayed in many condos but this is the only one we feel as if we're staying in a close friends home. Everything is perfect. Beautiful furnishings, quality amenities, comfortable beds and furniture. Exactly what you would choose for your own comfort in your own home. Oh, did I mention we're on the Beach with a private balcony? Love it!

Loved this condo. We stayed for a week and have no complaints at all. Check in and out was super simple. Beautiful beach view and easy access to the beach. The hall where the bathrooms are located smelled terrible the first couple of days but disappeared after that. Dillion with the chair service gave unbelievable customer service. He was always super friendly and accommodating. That has to be a hard job hauling those chairs around in the heat but to do it as well as he did with a smile on his face was really impressive.

Overall, this condominium unit is nice with great views of the gulf. However, it lacks in some amenities. There is no poolside bar/snack bar and not really anywhere within walking distance of the building. If you want a less crowded beach experience, it's a great place to stay. Check out our blog!

Was recommended but I would never use again. We paid 2500 for 4 nights to stay in a condo that smelled like dead fish. Sheets in the second bedroom had a pee stain in one bed. Hair in the other bed. My friend and I ended up sharing the master. Turned out the smell was from a broken garbage disposal. They fixed that on Saturday but took until Sunday to get the smell out. There was a leak under the kitchen sink too along with a running toilet in the second bathroom. Part of the building on the right was under construction. Fitness room code did not work. The smell of pot coming from the property constantly was disgusting. We were speaking with a family from Minnesota on the beach and they also thought their unit was dirty and not up to par.
