Good price. Near the Station and opposite to Aeon which you can shop and eat. Walking distance to the river, castle and the garden. Staffs are very helpful.

It is less than 10 minutes walk from Okayama Station, but please note that because the road in front of Okayama Station is under construction, you have to cross the road across the street to Big Camera and then go to the hotel via Takashimaya, otherwise you will have to walk a long way. Opposite is a large AEON MALL with complete basic facilities. I didn't expect Okayama to be like a small city, but the living facilities are quite complete. The hotel front desk may be confused. We arrived at around 9 o'clock in the morning, but because we could only check in at 3 o'clock in the afternoon, we left after leaving our luggage and returned at almost 10 o'clock in the evening... The room is not big but it is clean.

I thought the staff were very friendly and the breakfast was delicious.

There is a hotel restaurant. The single room has its own bathroom and bathtub. The room size is according to Japanese standards. If you have a large bag, it will be a little narrow. There is a thermos, tea, and coffee in the room.

During the Obon holiday, I stayed overnight on the way back to my hometown from my hometown, Okayama, to do some sightseeing. It's about a 7-8 minute walk from Okayama Station, and most of the route is via the underground mall and underground passage (it was a very hot summer day, so it was helpful). It was originally the Okayama Castle Hotel, and you can read traces of the sign on the exterior wall. The exterior and interior looked a bit old, but the bathrooms in the guest rooms (unit baths) seemed to have been renovated, giving it a new impression. I chose the "toast set" from the four different menus (there were six before COVID-19). It also came with a salad, which was enough for me, who doesn't eat much in the morning. I also liked that I could have a refill of coffee. The breakfast venue on the first floor of the hotel seemed to be a cafe that was usually open to non-guests.

There was no information about the travel discount at check-in, so I went ahead and checked, but when I asked about it later, I was told that they don't offer it if you don't ask for it at check-in. I felt that this was unkind. I will not stay at this hotel again.

I walked from the station without using the underground passage. You can see the hotel sign from afar, but when you get closer, you can't find the hotel. The signs for Chlorophyll Facial and Music School are eye-catching. I passed them and then returned. There are coffee, plum kobucha, and consommé soup sticks at the front desk. There is a rack that looks like a newspaper holder. There is only one elevator. The room has limited space for chairs, sandwiched between the bed and the refrigerator. The TV is large and almost wall-mounted. You can only watch it from the front from the bed. There is a metal beaker for boiling water. There are two tea bags. There is a message that says 10,000 yen will be charged if you lose your key, and 20,000 yen will be charged as a cleaning fee if you find an empty can with a cigarette butt in it. There is no subtitle button on the TV remote. The temperature setting for the air conditioning can be set to both hot and cold. There is one computer with a chair on the first floor. It seems that only Microsoft Edge can be used. There are no newspapers on the rack in the morning. The drinking sticks that were low the night before have been replenished.
