Osaka Fukushima Ward 2-star Hotels

Location wise it's good. It's a leisurely 10min walk to Osaka station. The room was good size and had kitchen facilities and even washing machine. On the downside: Our room had a futon large enough to sleep 4 taking up most of the floor space making moving around difficult unless walking on on the bed. We had a small balcony that isn't useful for anything except maybe for 1 person to sit outside during warmer weather. The big letdown was however the check in procedure. We advised them in advance that we were arriving late. The premise has self check in via a tablet and there is no reception.It is basically an apartment building with some rooms being rented out. The check in requires some interaction with remote staff to issue a room key code. Noone answered at the other end. There was also a phone number provided and we tried calling many times only to get a voice mail message. We also tried calling other Minn premise to get help but only got voice mail. After 30minutes of trying we went outside the building and found what seemed to be a number to a caretaker of the building (no mention if that person also managed check in.) This time we got an answer and managed to finish the check in process. It was not a pleasant experience way past midnight and not even having access to a bathtroom so we won't be keen to book a self check in room next time if arriving at odd hours. Overall otherwise we thought it was ok.

On the day of check-out, there is a free luggage storage service until the afternoon. The lobby has Japanese tatami mats, coffee machines and nostalgic toys.

Conveniently located 2 minutes walk from Fukushima Station on the Hanshin Main Line and 6 minutes walk from Fukushima Station on the JR Osaka Loop Line. This hotel is a collaboration with Phiten, a company based on the concept of beauty and health, and the large public bath was the best! ! The public bath is clean and the water is soft and provides a relaxing moment. In addition, the washroom is equipped with lotion, emulsion, facial cleanser, hair dryer, and hair iron, making it easy to use even during busy mornings. The room had a single bed, so I was able to walk normally without bending over the bed, and even though it was a capsule hotel, it didn't feel pretentious and I was able to relax. I think it would be better if there were lockers where you could put your large luggage. The hotel is located 2 minutes walk from Fukushima Station on the Hanshin Main Line, and 6 minutes walk from Fukushima Station on JR Osaka Circular Line, convenient for transportation. We loved the location of this hotel as we were surrounded by metro line choices and proximity to both Osaka and Shin-Osaka train station (2 and 4 stops away respectively). It matched up with our itinerary as we made Osaka our base for exploring and went to Universal Studios, Kyoto and Nara for day trips and it all seemed relatively convenient from here. When we arrived our room was ready and they allowed us to check in 30 minutes early. The hotel has some extra toiletries in the lobby but the room was pretty well equipped. The lobby area also has a restaurant that serves both an affordable ramen dinner and a buffet breakfast. The breakfast is absolutely worth it here and if you don't book it with your stay, it is a steal at 1200 yen per adult. The breakfast has a good combination of gyoza dumplings, chicken dishes, tempura, Japanese soups and a salad station. The lobby restaurant also has a refreshment station where you can get coffee, water, green tea or pop 24/7. The room was very comfy and quiet and was a little bit bigger than most rooms we stayed in. We got a good night's rest here and felt ready to explore each day. The bathroom was a bit small and my head was nearly hitting the ceiling in the shower but great pressure and easily adjustable temperature. The toiletries provided were good quality too. The room had a kettle, mini fridge, large TV, an air purifier and a work station. The hotel is very close to Dotonbori area but far enough away that it is quiet. The whole area outside is a little messy with many tourists leaving their garbage wherever. We were here during the Japanese New Year celebrations so many restaurants were closed but there were still plenty of options nearby.

Good breakfast Selections with good services and amenities. Convenient to places I want especially Osaka/Umeda Station.

As it's located away from the touristy areas, it's relatively cheaper, quieter, and compared to Tokyo hotels I have booked, roomier. The staff are excellent--they speak or at least understand English, and are efficient and warm. Basic breakfast is included-- the boiled egg is my favorite, and brewed coffee is available 24 hours .

My usual stay in Osaka due to its location. I actually booked the wrong hotel (Sotetsu Grand Fresca Namba) using my membership so do take note of it. Was grateful that the manager and staff help me out with the check in as we two girls were utterly worn out from the long lugging with heavy luggages More than 15 mins walk from Namba JR station which could be challenging as the road was uneven and tons for traffic lights. Highly recommended if you have luggages, to take the subway from Shin Osaka (a total breeze of about 5 mins with 1 crossing) instead of trying to save via JR pass like myself on 2 trips. #pennywisepoundfoolish We took a bigger double bed as my previous double bed was too small for two.

To my surprise, I booked a nonsmoking room, but, when I entered the room, I felt a smoky atomosphere. First, I fret over the situation. I guessed I got a mistake in reservation and at last the winsome staff were ready to change from somking to nonsmoking room. I am really grateful to this hotel. Thank you very much.

Nice affordable rooms in a good location downtown. It’s small but has a good sized bathrooms and the staff are very helpful. Would stay here again next time in in Osaka

Love this hotel in my Osaka holiday🏯, 3 mins walk to station 🚉 K14 “Sakaisuji-Hommachi” (exit 3), also have the big supermarket 🍣🍱 , Daiso dollar shop 🪙, convenience store 🏪 and DIY laundry 🧺 around. Also, special thanks to the friendly staff who help me print the document which I need in urgent 🥰
