The hotel is great, even though the building is over a hundred years old, the experience is great. Location: Very good, in the city center, just over ten minutes walk to Oslo opera, and just over ten minutes away from the Nobel Peace awards venue Room: Not big, but having such a big room in a downtown area is pretty good Breakfast: Super great, a variety of snacks and fruits, and the waiters are also very nice Next time I go back to Oslo, Hotel Bristol will be my first choice.

Hotel location is very good, next to the train station, the service is also very in place, I will set a person's bed is 20m2 big bed room, the result is told that it is a single bed room (the cheapest file only 15m2). If you're travelling solo and want somewhere handy in the centre of Oslo and aren't too fussed about some usual hotel comforts, then this will tick the box. It's not super expensive but it could also be a bit cheaper for what it offers. The rooms feel like university student rooms, which isn't a bad thing per se. I'm unsure what larger rooms looked like but despite mine having a double bed, 2 people would feel pretty cramped in there. The bathroom/shower was good, no fault there. The bed was comfy but the matress tended to slide around. There's no room service for cleaning up or refreshing linen, they do that on rotations of their own choosing. If you really want that service (which in any other hotel is a daily one) you can request I think. This is fine for 1 night but after a while you feel a bit grimy. I found some clumps of hair on the floor and in an underbed drawer. There's no kettle in the room which is the bare basic that a room should have in terms of amenities so people can make their own tea, coffee or noodles etc. You can buy tea or coffee in reception but it's worth just heading outside to grab something. My room didn't have wardrobe storage but did have wall bracket-hangers which did the job. There were plenty of sockets for charging things. Like I said for a person solo travelling and not wanting a hostel, this place is fine for 1 night or 2. I stayed 3 and it was too long in that hotel and too long in Oslo in general.

From the airport, take the train to the Central Railway Station and walk for more than ten minutes. All the way to the street, the location is very good. The facilities are not bad. Breakfast has instant noodles, it is a surprise. The front desk actually missed the wrong money. Very affecting the impression. Others are good.

The room was clean and tidy. The bedding was comfortable. It was about 9 minutes walk from the subway. It was only two subway stops from the city center. The breakfast buffet was great! Very rich! And the hotel is soundproofed and very quiet!

My husband, two adult sons, sister, her husband and I travelled here for my sisters 50th birthday. Did not know what to expect from the hotel as is in the city centre so could be hit or miss. Did not have to worry at all. The staff are absolutely amazing and could not do enough for us. The buffet breakfast set us up for the day. The rooms were spacious and clean and had a mini fridge. Also small ironing board and iron in the rooms should you wish you iron! Water on tap available in the lobby, in the restaurant, in the gym and in the lounge and all had a choice of still or sparkling water. Along with a variety of Nespresso coffee pods. Could not tell that the hotel was in the middle of the centre. Brilliant location and place to chill with the train station within walking distance. If we were coming back to Oslo, this is where we would stay as everything you need and want is close by. Made wonderful memories that will last a lifetime!

I want to be fair to the hotel but we had one thing after another with this place. Firstly we arrived and couldn't get hold of customer service so we could put our bags in the luggage room. Spent 30 minutes trying to get through and in the end was given the wrong code! Luckily one of the staff helped us out after an hour of waiting around. Then when our room was ready we went up and it had not been cleaned. Old wet towels on the floor and dirty sheets. They found another room, but again we had to call (no front desk) - so another 15 minutes on the phone. The response was ”I don't think we have another room”!!! Finally got a clean room - well relatively clean. Room is okay. Small but nice to have the fridge and kitchenette. Bathroom is ridiculously tiny. Overall not great. it felt like a hostel more than an hotel. Area is not great at night and we came back to a dozen men hanging out the front smoking.
