very old, smelly, carpet really disgusting. Kitchen stuff very worn out. One mug had lipstick On. pool horrible. wouldnt stay ever again.

Clean and tidy, the reception was very kind and helpful with information about the area.
Location is good, walking distance to shops and the beach.

There is nothing to comment on the service infrastructure, it is standard for New Zealand Motel. Key complaints: The room was full of little crickets🦗 and I couldn’t finish it. The hotel was so tight that I couldn’t stay anywhere else. It made me sick for two nights! ! ! I have stayed in many hotels in Paihia, edgewater, heritage, including the swiss lodge next door, and I have never encountered this situation.

The disadvantage is that the sheets are clean, but the bedding is dirty. Their sheets only help to separate you from the bedding, but they don't fit in. If you don’t call house keeping, there will be no house keeping. If you need house keeping during your stay, remember to tell the front desk every morning ~
