We stayed here very briefly after missing our connection, and it was a wonderful, wonderful experience. The room was gorgeous. The beds were very very comfortable. Everything was spotless very elegant. Every little creature comfort was provided and location was excellent. We would definitely stay here again. Absolutely loved it.

The location of the hotel is good, at the junction of the old city and the new city, on the second main road. With a long history and luxurious style, the breakfast room is like a small palace, and the breakfast variety is also rich. It is the old problem of this type of hotel. The air-conditioning on the upper floors is loud, but later it was changed to a lower floor. The service is good.

Stayed here for three days while visiting Sicilly. Our room was large, clean, with tea and coffee making facilities. There was also a safe in our room. The toiletries were good. Enjoyed the art on the walls. Breakfast was organised in half hour time slots so there was no crowding , and the food was good. It would have been good if the reception had more information for holiday travellers. Reception staff did give information when asked, some reception staff more helpful than others

I highly recommend that hostel! It is a hostel with a soul. Great hostel, very clean, comfortable and great location! Lots of facilities are proposed. Monuments are reachable on foot.They have their own bar, breakfast was delicious. Very friendly staff and very helpfull. I haven't even checked out yet, but this is a great place to stay. Hosts Luigi and Gaetano are AWESOME; super friendly. My room had individual heating which came in handy as it's still technically winter. The location is FANTASTIC! It's hidden in a little piazza less than 10 minutes walk to Teatro Massimo. There are several restaurants and a sweet shop in the piazza and a Coop market across from the entrance to purchase whatever to need. I'd definitely stay here if I had another trip to Palermo. Molto grazie!

For a weekend, the location was ideal for visiting all of Palermo on foot. Well equipped accommodation with a large window. Private bathroom but on the landing. In a rather quiet little street and respect between the different occupants of the rooms. We had a great time.

We stayed here in February and checking in was easy. The room was a bit bare, no soft edges and no view other than the wall of the back of another building. The staff were polite and the food was ok. It felt a bit like a slightly upmarket hostel really. The main rooms are below ground and it felt a bit claustrophobic. Our room was on the second floor, and it was clean and well serviced. This was somewhere clean and functional but without any frills whatsoever. It didn’t feel whatever I expect 4 star feels like.

Stayed at The Plaza Opera during a tour of Sicily. Comfortable clean rooms with hospitality trays and usual amenities. Very centrally located for sightseeing. Breakfast continental in style but perfectly adequate. The only breakfast problem here was trying to get milk for the coffee as the waitress didn't seem to quite understand and she was also very busy. Would recommend the restaurant for evening meal, very good food and wines and no more expensive than anywhere else. A point for the Brits, Italians don't take milk in their drinks so there isn't any on the hospitality tray!!!!!
