Not up to HIE standards but not overall terrible. The main AC is out so they are leaving the front doors open to keep the lobby cool. (room units work fine) Unfortunately this is allowing all sorts of bugs in. So like some of the other reviews we too had problems with multiple bugs. If this is not a recent problem then why hasn't it been fixed? Pool was absolutely filthy but it was so hot I wouldn't want to be the one cleaning it either. Also if the AC is out why on earth do they still have the pool HEATER on?? Water was warm but not what you want when it's 90 degrees outside with no air conditioning. There was also a decaying mouse in the little outside hallway by the pool. You could clearly see it walking past the pool windows and it had clearly been there a while. Room was nice and clean. Bed comfortable if you like a firm mattress. I do not but still slept ok. Jacuzzi worked fine and was also clean. Staff were courteous enough. Left before breakfast so can't comment on food. Overall we've been to and promptly left worse and have definitely stayed at better. Price was great though especially if you're just making a pit stop to sleep and move on.

On check in/out staff was very friendly and helpful. The only problem with the room was minor. The upholstered chair had a patch on the corner that looked like duct tape. Upon closer inspection it appeared to be a patch similar to what would be an iron-on patch for the knee of a pair of jeans. It cheapened the look of the room. The biggest problem in the room was the air conditioner. It was extremely difficult to regulate temperature in both rooms I rented. There was a small sign indicating the a/c was controlled by the wall thermostat. That was not the case. There was no power going to the wall thermostat and the a/c unit was actually controlled by the unit underneath the window. As for food: It takes a lot to shock my husband. He’s retired military and he said after 25 years in the Army he’s never tasted anything worse than field rations, but this food was definitely worse. I rented 2 rooms for 4 adults and we were all extremely disappointed with the lack of variety of food and beverage choices. The food that was there was tasteless and dry. We got downstairs 30 minutes after they started serving and still the egg omelets were cold. The kolaches were very dry. My sister-in-law grabbed a banana thinking that would be a safe bet, but she was wrong. The outside of the banana had no bruising or dark spots, but when she peeled it the banana was mostly brown mush inside. After all 4 of us tried to eat the food and couldn’t stomach it, we decided to throw it away and look for outside food. I’ve never been a fan of fast food, but we went to McDonald’s to eat and I was pleasantly surprised. McDonald’s was a definite improvement.

We checked in late, the young lady at the front desk was very friendly & polite, but could tell she was ready to not be there. Went to the room & saw the top blanket on the 1st bed had some very noticeable spots on it that were very possibly blood, & looked to have some stuffing hanging out. I pulled it back & the sheets looked clean, so being late, being thankful to get a place that allowed our dog at 10:30pm, & not wanting to make a fuss, or to be a bother to front desk, I went ahead & just tossed it aside with plans of using our own blankets. We brought our stuff in, & without looking at it, I just tossed the blanket from the 2nd bed over off the side towards the wall. Looking further into the room, the 2nd bed had hair in it, the toilet had hair in it, it was questionable if the seat was clean, so I cleaned it before using. The rest of the bathroom was fairly clean, but old & grimey looking. There were smudges (blood/feces?) on the wall, & lamps. Spots on floor & tables, floor was sticky underfoot, toothpaste spit marks on mirror above sink. Later did notice some stains on the bed sheets. Grabbed remote, it was nasty & taped together with scotch tape & wouldn't turn the TV on. Looked & noticed everything on that wall wasn't working (TV, cable box, lamp, microwave, mini fridge) so looked behind entertainment center & see it was all plugged into one outlet with an adaptor that was hanging out of the outlet a bit (safety concern?) Was able to get it plugged back in & got it all to turn on. After waiting for the cable box to boot up, found the remote wouldn't change the channel. Seems to have electrical problems (safety concern number 2?), the bathroom fan didn't work, the light over the sink would go on & off at random. Tried to shut it off, but the only switch that turned that light off, also turned the power off to the entire room (including the cable box we just waited to start up). Tried to go to sleep but the ac kicked on & off all night & was very loud in doing so. The beds were fairly comfortable, but squeaked with every move. They lock the exterior doors at night, but are not accessible with a keycard (the box was all mangled) so you have to go to main entrance, & call for someone to let you in. The only thing hot on their breakfast was the cream cheese that was sitting at room temp. Before we left the room, I made sure all our trash was picked up, put the trashcan & all the dirty towels right by the door so it was an easy grab for housekeeping, pick up the blankets that were off the sides of the bed, & threw them on the bottom corner of the beds & went to get our deposit back. He went to check the room, came back & called someone, spoke in another language, so I was unable to understand what was said, went back to the room & then came back to the front desk saying our dog damaged the ”brand new comforter”, & urinated on the bed. Our dog was not on either comforter, because I pulled them both off 1st thing. The suppose
