5-Star Hotels in Selangor, Malaysia

I had a pleasant stay overall, with several aspects of the experience standing out positively. Special mention goes to Zul, the receptionist, who handled everything professionally and was very helpful throughout the check-in process. He also explained the walk-in breakfast rate of RM61.50 per person and kindly offered a more affordable option of paying upfront at the counter for only RM35.00 per person, which was a great value. The room was spacious, comfortable, and nicely decorated. The bathroom was also well designed and clean, while the water pressure was excellent—definitely one of the highlights of the stay. I also tried the room service through Roomie. The order took around 30 minutes to arrive, which was reasonable. I ordered the Kampung Fried Rice and Oxtail Soup. The food was average in terms of taste and could be improved, particularly with seasoning and overall flavour. However, the pricing was surprisingly affordable considering this is a 5-star hotel. Breakfast was probably the least impressive part of the stay. The selection was fairly average, and there was nothing particularly memorable or outstanding. Overall, the stay was comfortable, with excellent service from Zul, a spacious room, and good value for the food pricing. With improvements to the food quality and breakfast offerings, the experience could be significantly better.

Pls have a look if you are planning to book this hotel. This was one of the worst hotel experiences I have ever had at a 5-STAR HOTEL! The problems started from the moment I arrived. During check-in, the receptionist told me that the system was down and was unable to check me in. After trying & waiting for a while, she switched to another computer to complete the check-in. I had to wait around 7 mins just for what should have been a simple check-in. After finally getting my room key, I thought I could finally go to my room and rest at around 6:30 PM. Unfortunately, things only got worse. My initial room was on the 5th/6th floor (can’t remember exactly). When I entered, I was shocked to find that the room had clearly not been cleaned or prepared at all. It was basically left in the same condition as the previous guest had left it. The rubbish had not been cleared, the bedsheet had not been changed, and the blanket was even lying on the floor. The room was dirty & messy, which completely ruined my mood. I immediately tried to contact reception using the room phone, but the phone system also appeared to have a problem. I called three times without answering and only managed to get through on the fourth attempt. When I explained the situation, the receptionist sounded confused and seemed unaware of what had happened. I requested a room change and was told to come back down to reception. When I arrived, the staff there also seemed unaware of the situation. I had to explain everything again. One staff member then went to another staff member, who came over and asked me again what had happened. At that point, I was already very tired and frustrated from having to repeat the same explanation multiple times. After waiting for quite some time, I was told that there were no more king-size rooms available and that they could only offer me a twin room. By then, I was exhausted and simply wanted to rest, so I accepted it. Considering that the initial room was not ready due to the hotel’s own housekeeping issue, I honestly expected at least some gesture of goodwill, such as a complimentary upgrade or compensation. But that was fine. I was eventually assigned Room 719. Before I left reception, the staff simply said “sorry.” The housekeeping situation was especially disappointing. I arrived at around 6:30 PM, while the hotel’s check-out time is 12 PM. There should have been plenty of time for the room to be cleaned and prepared. Yet I was given a room that had apparently not been serviced at all. I could even see housekeeping staff walking around the floor. Unfortunately, the condition of the hotel and room was also far from satisfactory. The facilities looked old and poorly maintained, with peeling wallpaper, a damaged chair cushion, dirty carpets, and an air-conditioning system with a noticeable mouldy smell. The lobby looks reasonably well renovated, but the condition behind the surface is a completely different story. For a hotel that has only been operating for a little over 10 years, the level of deterioration and lack of maintenance is difficult to accept. What disappointed me most was that this was not just one isolated issue. The check-in process was inefficient, communication between staff was poor, the room was not ready, housekeeping was inadequate, and the room itself was poorly maintained. This was honestly one of the worst hotel stays I have ever experienced.

The front desk service was excellent; they let me check in at 11 AM as soon as a room was ready. While it's not in the city center, the hygiene is much better than hotels and guesthouses of the same price range downtown. However, the coffee cup in the room clearly looked used and unwashed.

Unacceptable hygiene issues for MYR 910/night Dear Management Team, I recently completed a stay in Room [Insert Room Number] at a rate of over RM900+ per night. Given this price point, I expected standard luxury hospitality and clean facilities. Unfortunately, the room fell far below acceptable hygiene standards. During our stay, the bathroom basin was completely blocked and would not drain. Upon inspecting the pop-up drain stopper to see what was blocking the water, we discovered it was covered in thick, black grime and mold. Stagnant soapy water remained trapped in the sink, making the bathroom unhygienic and unusable. Paying premium rates for severely neglected plumbing and poor sanitation is unacceptable. I have documented this with photos, which are attached for your reference. I would appreciate a response from the Duty Manager regarding this stay experience and how management intends to address this matter.

Had a wonderful staycation at Cyberview Resort & Spa in Cyberjaya! 🌿✨ The resort offers a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere, surrounded by lush greenery that makes you forget you’re just minutes away from the city. The room was spacious, clean, and very comfortable—perfect for a short getaway. The swimming pool was well-maintained and great for both adults and kids. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and always ready to assist, making the stay even more enjoyable. Breakfast had a good variety of choices, and the overall ambience was calm and refreshing. If you’re looking for a relaxing staycation without travelling too far, I highly recommend Cyberview Resort & Spa. It’s the perfect place to unwind, recharge, and spend quality time with your loved ones. Looking forward to coming back again! 💚

I stayed here to celebrate my wife’s birthday with our 8mo baby. I had mentioned in advance during the booking that our stay was for my wife’s birthday, but I didn’t expect such a lovely surprise when we checked in. Thank you so much for arranging the surprise birthday cake and providing a baby cot. We truly appreciated the thoughtful gesture and attention to detail. Overall, the service was excellent, and the facilities were new, clean, and well-maintained. We had a wonderful stay and really enjoyed the experience!

I have to say, this hotel is a wonderful place to relax. The service is super good—the staff's attitude has been excellent ever since I checked in. The young lady at the front desk asked if I had a lot of luggage and offered to help bring it inside. Being able to have dinner in the room was also a truly great experience. In the evening, you can go to the bar for a drink, and the view when waking up in the morning is amazing. It's so nice to feel the breeze while looking out at the lake and waterfall view. As for the room cleanliness, it was generally very good. I also observed them cleaning another guest's room, and the duvet covers and other linens were completely replaced with fresh sets (I had brought disposable four-piece bedding sets just in case, but they turned out to be completely useless). As for the bathtub, there might have been a little dust in mine, but after rinsing it, it was great. The toilet and shower areas are separated (wet and dry separation). There are disposable amenities and a hair dryer inside the drawer. If this trip is all about just wanting to chill, do nothing, and stay in your room, this place is really a great fit.

We just had an amazing time at Marriott Putrajaya and I have to say, the service here is truly top-notch. From the moment we checked in, the staff were so professional, warm, and attentive. Their hospitality made us feel like VIPs. The swimming pool was a huge highlight for us. It’s clean, spacious, and has a great view. It’s also very *kid-friendly* with dedicated kid pools and wet playground, so my kids spent hours there and didn’t want to leave. The whole resort feels very family-oriented. Food-wise, everything was excellent. We tried the breakfast was delicious with great variety. What really stood out was the team. Every staff member we met was professional, helpful, and genuinely cared. They went the extra mile to make sure our family was comfortable. If you’re looking for a place with *great service, good food, excellent facilities, and a welcoming vibe for families*, Marriott Putrajaya is the best choice. We’ll definitely be back. Highly recommended!

staffs are friendly and helpful 👍 you can feel that the hotel is slightly old however overall it's not too bad. drainage (sink & shower) is slow as it's probably clogged. we informed the concierge and they managed to solve it. wide variety of breakfast foods too. enjoyed the short 3d2n stay

I've been visiting this hotel for a long time, and the cleanliness, service, and facilities are excellent. The golf course and swimming pool are great. It feels a bit old, but the staff are very friendly.
