This is not the first time I have stopped because I like the location, on a quiet street. And very friendly reception staff!! One minus (and this is a problem in many small hotels in Paris) is the maids, they really like to occupy the elevator with their equipment! When you are without a suitcase this is not a problem, the stairs are also suitable, but with suitcases... very inconvenient

Accustomed to this hotel where I go down regularly when I have exams to pass. Room reserved and paid for for one person from Friday 6 to Saturday 7 May 22. When I arrive, I am charged (and I pay) twice the tax even though only one person is occupying the room! In addition, while this was not practiced previously, the night watchman demanded to scan my identity card: I refused. From this moment, the reception is more than unpleasant. The most outrageous is that I had to stay again in this hotel 48 hours later; I had therefore reserved and paid for a room on their site (non-refundable, non-cancellable by me) from Sunday May 8 to Monday May 9, 22 OR I received an email indicating that the hotel CANCELLED my reservation! To flee!!!! Visited in May

기차역에서 가깝고 시설도 깔끔합니다. 혹시 맨바닥 문화 익숙하지 않은 분들은 기내에서 나눠주는 일회용 슬리퍼 챙겨가면 유용할 것 같습니다.

The hotel has charm, the room is comfortable, clean with a lovely view. The location is excellent. The gentleman at the reception desk (Mehdi, I think his name was) was very nice: helpful, friendly, welcoming and professional.

Very good location - located just 2 mins away from Raspail Metro station. Also, just 15-20 mins walk away from Luxembourg Gardens. There is a supermarket in the same street. Denfert-Rochereau, which has the Orly Bus stop is a 10 min walk away The room itself was quite comfortable and very clean. The double bed was 2 joined single beds but was quite comfortable. There was a kettle with coffee and tea sachets Rooms are a bit small and could've been a bit larger

Well. my girlfriend and I (19 years old) stayed at the Istria hotel for 4 nights. when we arrived at the hotel (very early, 9 am) we were informed that the rooms are not ready, which was acceptable. we told the recepionist ( who was absolutely EGOCENTRIC) that we would come back later and that we would like to leave our suitcases until we return .Not only was it a huge effort to explain to him what we were intending to do (because this poor man talked only French) but we were also astounded to find out that they're going to charge us 4 euros (2 euros each) for " la consigne" - luggage storage - then we paid, like we had other choice. we came back in the evening, 8 pm, and all we wanted to have was to have a shower and to sleep in a clean bad. Fortunately - this what we got. The room, tiny but sufficient, very clean and the beds were properly made. The day after our arriva,l we went down the stairs to get to the breakfast dining area. The lovely maid served us gracefully. The breakfast consisted of some croissants, some bread, toasts, jam, butter, cheese and chocolate - we didn't expect to have more than that and it was 10% fine. The location is actually great, thanks to the Raspail Metro station which was 30 meters from our hotel, but also thanks to Bienvenue Montparnasse and Edgar Quinet stations which was both a few minutes walking (not more than 10 - I guarantee you that) from our hotel. Bref ( as the they tend to say) - the hotel was quite good and did meet most of our expectations from a 3 stars hotel. The hotel is in a great location and if you look for a clean room at the end to a tiring day - you'll find it there. One more thing that I must mention is that the egocentric receptionist was only one person of the whole stuff. The other receptionists were very friendly and were eager to help us, so I hope you'll be lucky enough not to meet that specific receptionist. ENJOY YOUR TRIP IN PARIS !!!

The hotel is located near the metro station, very easy and convenient. This small and intimate, very conveys the atmosphere of romantic Paris ... Rooms are small, but cozy and clean, and well-equipped. The staff is very kind and helpful. We did not take breakfast, because it was expensive in our opinion. It is better to eat in the cafe area. You should go to the Tower Monfrns- 7 minutes on foot, there are dozens of restaurants and cafes and places of entertainment. In short - highly recommended!

The plaque on the wall next to the door says volumes -- in the 1920s this hotel used to host Marcel DuChamp, Man Ray, Erik Satie, Kiki, Rilke, and other amazing artists, writers, and musicians who helped shaped modern culture. Talk about historic! And the lobby is a gorgeous piece of Art Deco paneling and decoration, as are many of the (small) rooms. The location is pretty good -- a two-minute walk to the Raspail metro, four minutes to the charming Montparnasse cemetery (where Beauvoir and Sartre are buried), five minutes to the famous Closerie des Lilas cafe -- but perhaps a bit inconvenient to the hot tourist destinations. So stay here if you want to see a different part of Paris than the usual stuff (and breathe the air that those creators breathed). I've stayed three times and been very satisfied with being in a Paris that people actually live and work in.

We booked this hotel on recommendation from a friend at work and I am very pleased that we did. This hotel is perfect if you are looking for a hotel that is cheap, but also clean and convenient. The hotel is situated approximately 30m away from the Raspal Metro stop and so is great for getting onto the metro, if walking it is approximately 15-20 min stroll from Jardin de Luxembourg. The room we stayed in (43) was a typical double room with TV, fridge and bathroom. The bathroom was slightly bigger than I have had before in Paris, but was by no means large (just big enough for toilet, shower and sink), however the main point is that the bathroom was clean. We did not have much to do with the staff, but they were always pleasant when we picked up our key or when checking in or out. Breakfast was included in the price of our booking, but if it is not I would not pay the 10euro advertised for breakfast as it is little more than pastry and bread rolls with coffee or tea. The room was fine but nothing to write home about - we only wanted a place to crash out after a days sightseeing, but again it was clean and comfortable! I would definitely stay here again.

Great hotel. Clean, great breakfast, and great location next to the subway. What I didn't like is you are required to turn in your room key when exiting the hotel. Came home one night at 2AM. Had to tap on the window to wake up night clerk who was sound asleep on lobby couch just to get in to lobby. At $500eu a night maybe I expected more than hostel conditions.
Response from Property: Dear Madam, Thank you for your feedback. We’re glad to hear you enjoyed the cleanliness, breakfast, and convenient location of our hotel. However, we sincerely apologize for the inconvenience you experienced with the room key policy and the situation with our night clerk. Your experience is not reflective of our usual standards, and we appreciate you bringing this to our attention. We are continually working to improve our services and ensure that our guests have a comfortable and pleasant stay. We hope you’ll consider staying with us again in the future, so we can provide you with a better experience. Thank you for choosing our hotel! Best regards, Charlotte, Hotel Istria

Small boutique style hotel in a quiet street in Montparnasse, very close to Raspail métro station. Shops, restaurants, street market and tourist attractions all within a 5-10 minute stroll. The hotel is quite historic, with links to the artists, poets and composers of early 20th century Montparnasse. 24hour front desk, lift, refreshments available for a small sum in the lobby. Our room was on the fourth floor overlooking the street, view of Montparnasse Tower. The room was small, as expected, but was freshly decorated, theme of Josephine Baker, (who probably didn't stay here!). It was perfectly clean, well equipped (kettle, minibar fridge, safe) , though only hangers for clothes and a very small desk/table. Bathroom also small, with shower and toilet. Very little room to turn round, put things, and not possible to sit straight on the loo. Some of the fittings were a little loose (loo and electric socket covers, and one of the bedside sockets didn't work). We mentioned this to front desk. Plenty of other sockets in working order, though. Bed was very comfortable, slept well. Altogether, a charming, convenient place to stay for your culture -themed city break.
