Arrived at this lovely venue to celebrate our Ruby Wedding Anniversary only to find that the 3rd party booking company that we used & paid had not advised us that the Hotel was fully booked. Fortunately the Staff at the resort on reception Adam & his female colleague sorry I did not take her name bent over backwards to try & find a room which they eventually managed with a lot of effort. The hotel was exceptionally busy due to a Wedding & a private party staying over. I was very stressed & upset as this was a special day for us but they made every effort with calmness & professionalism to resolve this problem that was NOT down to the hotel. Room & stay was great. I highly recommend this hotel & the staff not only on reception but throughout the whole hotel during our stay.

Couldn't fault this hotel. Convenient location, right in the town centre. Close to bus station and close to many shops, restaurants, bars, pharmacy, cash dispenser. The staffs are very friendly and helpful. I only stay one night, clean room and great value for money. The size of the room wasn’t big but had everything I needed. I was a bit hot and even though I adjusted the heater it did not seem to make some difference. I opened the window but outside was a little noisy. The lady at the check in was really nice with us. Would definitely stay there again!

Pros: - Brilliant service on arrival. - Free room upgrade - excellent room- very clean! - IHG members prize of a free glass of Prosecco - Free treats for the room - Lovely grounds for a nature walk, with deer roaming the site - Breakfast and dinner at the Tudor restaurant was impeccable. Fantastic service and delicious food. Cons: - The swimming pool and jacuzzi are too cold. - The sauna and steam room are quite small and very basic. -The reception of the pool/spa is untidy and cluttered and the service is poor in this area which is unlike the rest of the hotel. - We messaged asking for room service (fresh milk and some ice) and sadly this did not arrive. Overall: would recommend if your priority is the hotel, food and grounds but it is not for you f if you are looking for a pool/spa visit.

The hotel location is very good, in the center of the town, there is a station and a supermarket downstairs, about six minutes walk from the train station. The room was clean, the double bed was small. There is a kettle in the room, but no hair dryer, no hair dryer, no hair dryer (> ﹏ <). I was out of luck. The bathroom door was broken. I almost shut myself in and couldn't get out. Fortunately, my mother rescued me (´; ︵; `)
