Excellent

It should be considered the ceiling of Xiaopi Village Hotel, but because it is in the city center, the room is a bit small.

This is a hunk of brutalist architecture dropped into the middle of Piacenza; there’s a reason there are no photos of the outside. We stayed for a single night and arrived late (11:30) after our flight was delayed. The room on the 6th floor was welcoming and functional. We managed to park in the garage (not advisable for nervous drivers) for €16 for the night. The buffet breakfast was good with plenty of options. I’d stay here again.

Big room, fantastic location near the city center, lovely breafkast room on the 7th floor. Given how small Piacenza is, this is a very good quality hotel. It has a private parking accessible directly from the reception area, which is so convenient. The room was big, clean, airy and with all the amenities. I would stay there again if I travel to Piacenza.

We went there during late April for a vacation and the hotel stay was terrible. We paid for a king-sized bed but got two beds attached that separated, making sleep uncomfortable. The TV was outdated and unusable, the WiFi was slow, and the bathroom was poorly designed. We had to fully open the door to enter, the shower had a tiny grid for our products, and the counter was so small my girlfriend did her makeup on the floor in front of the wardrobe mirror. The morning buffet was plain, and the receptionist, thinking my girlfriend didn't understand Italian was swearing in front of her, he also tried to charge us twice. It took 20 minutes to find our reservation, nearly causing us to miss our train. We were rushed out of the room and felt mistreated as a young couple. The only positive thing was the restaurant, which had a good service. The hotel was overpriced for what we got and it the worst hotel experience ever.

Stayed here on business for a couple of nights in Feb. Reception staff were very friendly. Room was nicely renovated and very clean. TV channels good for English options. Bar on top floor very nice with views over city. Breakfast also excellent. Parking on site so long as you don’t have a big car. Right next to the old town square so location couldn’t be better. Would recommend to all.

The room was small but perfect. High ceiling, indirect lighting, additional light from large window, wall sconces and reading lights on each side of the bed. Beautiful linens on the comfortable bed. Immaculately clean bathroom. Staff were welcoming but not intrusive. Great view and good food in the rooftop lounge.

We had a lovely experience at this hotel. The hotel was comfortable and clean and the staff could not do enough for you. Fabulous position in the city, a great restaurant attached. We couldn’t have asked for a better location and venue for our visit there.

Just been told by reception there will be a party tonight on Level 7 and that it will be very noisy until midnight. Other reviews complain about the thin walls. Most of the bad reviews on this site talk about awful customer service.

We stayed at the hotel for one night during our motorcycle trip with two Ducati Panigales. So we were keen to store the machines at a safe place, worked out really fine with the parking below the hotel. The lady (Gabriella) at the reception was a pleasure to meet and the view from the rooftop terrace is a blast (also very friendly barkeeper). Recommended!

We found this hotel to be enjoyable and one we would return to if in Piacenza again. Many complain about the parking (additional charge), and it is a tight if you have a large vehicle. Prudence is called when considering parking. We manage OK with an SUV. The reception staff also gave the alternative to us paid public parking in a nearby square. The room was of decent size, the shower good, although in a tub and the bed was comfortable. There is a rooftop restaurant / bar that should not be missed. We enjoyed a nice dinner there, and breakfast (additional charge) the following morning.

This was a very nice location. The rooftop venue should just could not be beat. The staff were extremely nice and always attentive. There were some small hiccups along the way but tiny. There was a small language barrier between the Italian and English that we spoke but hey, we are in Italy right? Nothing that we could not navigate around. The location is next to the city square and it was nice to walk around to the local cafes. Just a great value.
