"Location is great, if you prefer being away from the touristy hustle and bustle of downtown (we do!). The walkway along the cliff top is amazing, and the stairs to the beach is great, but walking all the way to the pier is quite a trek. The pool is small but warm and was never too busy. Two fire pits were mostly occupied before we were able to get spots.  The breakfast food options in the “cafe” were disappointing and there was no coffee. They did have a machine to make espresso drink that were ok. I would suggest skipping these and going off-site or DoorDash something good.  Free EV charging was great. There is one Tesla and two J1772 (I assume). I was the only one charging the three days we were there, and was able to fully charge overnight both nights."

Nestled in a prime location, this inn offers easy access to the best of the area's natural beauty and recreational activities. Proximity to the beach is unbeatable. Waking up to the serene views of the ocean and the calming sound of the waves was a daily highlight. The beach itself is clean and inviting, perfect for both sunbathing and very peaceful at dawn and sunset.The area boasts several scenic hiking trails. We took advantage of these and were rewarded with breathtaking views and the chance to reconnect with nature. Food options around Spyglass Inn also added to the charm of our stay. We indulged in some local cuisine that was as delicious as it was diverse. From fresh seafood to hearty breakfasts, plus a great steak in Arroyo Grande, 5 min drive. The inn itself provides a wonderful atmosphere to unwind. The room was comfortable and well-maintained, offering all the amenities needed for a relaxing retreat. The staff was friendly and helpful when needed, going out of their way to ensure we had a pleasant stay. Overall, our weekend at the Spyglass Inn was a delightful escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a rejuvenating getaway in a picturesque setting. Whether you're an avid hiker, a beach lover, or just in need of some peaceful downtime, Spyglass Inn is an ideal choice."

Driving along Highway 1, unfortunately, the latter half was blocked by landslides and I couldn't see it. This hotel, a rest stop along the way, is highly recommended."
