Exagon Park

Can Picafort|2.65km from Finca Publica Son Real
My husband and I have just got back from a week at the Exagon Park Hotel and had a wonderful week. Set amongst palm trees and evergreens 10 mins walk to the beach on the edge of nature reserve and a residential area, the hotel was in a quiet setting and the pool area was surrounded by a large grassed area with loungers a plenty. Guests were predominantly British, Irish, Dutch and German. The staff were pleasant hardworking and the entertainment team informative, funny and respectful if you didn't want to join in the activities. Both lads worked well together and obviously loved their jobs. I was worried when I saw a review about them being pushy and rude but it certainly wasn't our experience. Our room was spacious and clean, the bed was comfortable but we were only given 1 pillow each and they were very hard. We asked for extra, as did many other guests so i'm not sure why they dont just have 2 each in the first place? There is a lack of sockets but as a couple we managed fine. The decor is not modern but this did not bother us at all. We were on a half board basis which I was glad that we weren't AI as there wasn't the choice I've experienced on previous holidays, the most annoying part was unless you were lucky to time your food for when it came out, most of dishes were cold. The overhead/hot plates are woefully inadequate which was a dissapointment. We ate daily breakfast but only ate dinner in the resturant twice. There wasn't the choice you'd expect from a 4* and no flare in the presentation so it felt more like 3* but it was well cooked and no one would starve. I did note there wasn't any proper allergy labelling on any of the food so take this into account. The bar area is spacious and comfortable with nightly hour long entertainment of a lounge act of singers. All were very good. There is a full stage outside for the height of the season. The hotel bar prices were very reasonable €3.50 for a pint or glass of wine and waiter service. The bus stop is a 10 min walk from the hotel with a regular 20 min service very easy to travel to the neighbouring Alcudia and the whole island. We rarely saw the Ting Ting land train in use but it does have a stop immediately opposite the hotel gates but the hotel has a private walk way directly to the beach on the edge of a fresh water river and nature reserve which was a nice walk. A further 15/20 mins along the promenade takes you to Can Picafort where there are plenty of bars and restaurants to eat and drink at and are very reasonably priced. I have chronic back pain and sciatica but managed this walk daily (and further as its so pretty) as its ptactically on the flat and well paved. We booked the Son Amar show which was excellent but factor in the 2 hour coach trip there and back due to other pick ups so we didn't get back to the hotel until 2am. All in all we really enjoyed our stay it was very relaxing, music choices for the outside bar and pool area were perfect, the daily 'animation' choices

BG Tonga Tower

We had a fantastic time at Tonga Towers! Room was clean and spacious with welcome chocolate, robe and slippers. The hotel staff are very friendly and helpful throughout our while stay. It has nice facilities, as it was still a little cold we used the indoor spa pool, sauna and steam room which were lovely though not very big. Breakfast was superb with lots of choice, though can get a little busy with coach parties but the staff worked so hard to make sure that food is constantly topped up. Amazing rooftop bar/terrace with view over the bays. Overall we had a excellent stay! Thak you Tonga Towers!

It is a good hotel. But it has good and bad things, I suppose like everyone. The best food, everything very rich, well cooked, much variety, would be what would give you the highest score. The room is very good, clean, good bathroom, good terrace, air conditioning. The pool is very good too, there are always few people and has a jacuzzi-like screws, gives the sun in the afternoon. The hotel is very quiet and relaxing. The worst ... is made basic and exclusively for Germans, information in German, only German channels were seen on TV (we had to complain at reception that the Spanish channels will install us), The most bad of all dinner timelines from 18:30 to 21:00... too early and it's more, the room chief at 20:50 closed the dinner room and at 20:55 began to take the meal, unfortunately. I was making dinner with tension because you were waiting for not to be taken away from your food. The staff of the very majestic dining room, except the room boss. If not for this last, for me it could be 4 stars. With all this is a good hotel to spend your holidays.
Zafiro Alzinar Mar Adults Only

Info: We are a couple in our late 20s and booked this hotel for two weeks half board. This was my partner's first ever holiday abroad, I have been on lots of different holidays. This is quite a big review, so the short version is that there is NO AIR CON, it is not an adults only hotel as stated with On The Beach and the food is pretty rubbish, the facilities and entertainment are very poor and staff seem miserable. Long version: Upon arrival, it looked amazing. We were excited about how big it looked, how clean it looked (on the surface) and just happy to be on holiday. We were placed in Block 2 (back right) and were happy with our room initially. However, lots of issues started to arise from this night onwards... AIRCON: THERE IS NONE. Rooms are incredibly warm. I have lived abroad, and this was unreal. There was no relief from the heat, the air con didn't even go over our bed to cool us down when we were sleeping. We reported the next day and said it wasn't working, in which we were told to close the doors and it would work in 5-6 hours. We gave it a couple of days, but alas, to no avail. I went down again, and said the room was far too hot. This was after 2 nights of broken sleep for my partner and no sleep for myself. They said they would get the 'technician' out to look at the air con. We were at the pool all day, so never saw if anyone did come but assumed they had. However, when we went into our room, Aircon was still broken. We gave it one more night just to see but I ended up going down to reception at 3/3:30am crying because of the heat. The receptionist said there was nothing he could do at the moment as all the fans were already being used in the hotel and there were no rooms available for us. He said come down in the morning and ask for a new room. So I pretty much just stayed up until 7 and my partner and I asked for a new room. We were moved on day 6 of our 14 day holiday into the new building and it made a difference. Three vents instead of 2, however still very warm. If you appreciate sleeping, don't book here. FOOD: I am a vegetarian, and my partner is not. My partner says for a buffet the food was average. Lots of veal in different forms pretty much every night. There are no steak knifes and the veal is pretty tough - a minor issue but when it happens 13 times it's a bit rubbish. Lots of fish (which he avoided) and basic meals on rotation. However, I am a vegetarian and the food was awful for me. I could have cried every night. No vegetarian sauces for pasta. It was bolognaise every night. The only food for vegetarians was chips, green beans and spaghetti / pasta. But as I say, this wouldn't be bad if there was a sauce to go with or even some sort of main to go with the chips. I genuinely was deflated with tea every single night. Breakfast was great though and I tried to fill up as much as I could with cornflakes and toast. Desserts we both agreed were great! We really enjoyed the cakes and ice cream, this was g

Stayed here after a horribly long journey out. The receptionist guy was really helpful and ensured I got into my room straight away. The next day, I came for breakfast and realised they had freshly made omelette and pancake sections (wonderful). Having a pool and garden to relax in was fabulous. Beach was a straight walk 5 mins away. If you want a toothbrush and toothpaste, just ask at reception. You can borrow a large towel with a refundable deposit. Safe is chargeable in the room. The bed was massive. Evening meals had a big selection of food, as all different nationalitys here. Note that if you want a hotel that has a swimming pool in the sun all day, this is probably not the one for you. I loved it here, though. Many thanks for everything.
