Loved our stay here. Charlie Chaplin room was gorgeous and unique albeit a little dark with the black painted walls and ceilings. Huge private terrace with incredible views really makes the room. The pool is lovely and fairly unique for Porto. Location is on a bit of a deserted street just off the main hilltop tourist area but we walked to and from there at night and never felt unsafe. Breakfast was excellent.

About two months ago, I happened to see the promotional video of the hotel's opening, and then decided to walk around in Porto and booked this hotel specially. Our room is on the top floor. The balcony offers a beautiful view of Porto. The lighting design is relatively dark in the evening, which makes people very relaxing and sleepy. The bathroom accessories are great, and the towels seem to have a slight caramel smell. Full of comfortable experience. Will choose to stay in Porto next time.

We stayed in the Wine and Books Hotel for Seven nights .The Hotel should be rated 7* .We have travelled worldwide and this is by far the best Hotel we have stayed in .The staff are very special , working as an excellent team to make us feel at home. Special thanks to Camilla and Soraia on the front desk and to the food and beverage manager and all the restaurant and housekeeping staff for excellent Service which went above and beyond what we expected...Nothing is too much trouble for this excellent team. The room was quiet and comfortable and the food and breakfast is the best we ate in Porto. We truly felt we were leaving good friends by the time we left .Thank you all for a truly great stay. Partner and I stayed at Casa da Companhia for a week - it was one of the best hotel experiences of our lives! From check-in to the attentive breakfast service and continuing through check-out, we were thrilled by the warmth and quality of service of the staff. Recommendations for sightseeing, restaurants, and a day tour of Douro were all top-notch, and we'll be passing them onto our friends who follow us. Location is on Rue das Flores - a pedestrian-access only street. If you have significant mobility concerns, I would recommend reaching out ahead of time to the hotel to coordinate your arrival transportation. Location cannot be beat - we walked everywhere and were very happy with our access to a number of sights, restaurants, the waterfront, etc. There was a minor hiccup (no fault of the hotel) regarding another guest on our floor who was smoking in their room. The smell subsequently made its way into our room via the ventilation system. Before leaving for a dinner, we notified the front desk and they took immediate action, assessing the smell in our room. Upon our return that evening, they offered to place us in another room overnight, if the smoke smell persisted. When we returned to our room, the smell had dissipated and we declined the extra room - but we greatly appreciated their responsiveness and offer of alternative accommodations. The rooms are spacious, clean, and well-appointed. I enjoyed the dry sauna and indoor pool on a rainy day and found both to be very well-maintained. We'll be recommending this hotel to our friends and family and are looking forward to returning to Porto and Casa da Companhia.

Stayed 4 nights upon arriving in Porto. For a 3 star hotel the property is very clean and quiet. Check in was easy. Rooms are clean and offer a closet with a safe, a kettle and tea/coffee service, a small fridge that is stocked but still room to put a beer, wine bottle or water bottle in to chill. Several outlets but no usb ports. Bathroom has a bidet. Shower had good water pressure. It’s actually a tub/shower combination. Only thing missing was wash cloth. Didn’t get one in either of my Portugal hotels. The breakfast is outstanding, Starts at 7. Several options from eggs to pancakes, side dishes, so many fresh breads, cereal, fancy coffee machine, fresh juices. There is also a bar at the hotel but we didn’t visit it. Next door is a 3 store mall with a full service American size grocery store to buy water, snacks, wine etc. at very affordable prices. One block away is the Mercado Bom Success, an upscale food court. We ate dinner there twice. The hotel is in an area called Villa Nova so a 30 to 40 minute walk from the historical center. The metro is 10 to 15 minutes away, Casa de Musical stop, which will take you to the historical center in 15 minutes. I would stay here again if ever in Porto.

The room on the 1st floor was Spacious, clean, the air con and black out curtains worked well and the bathroom had 2 sinks, a bidet and a large shower. The staff are all very helpful, polite and friendly. The lovely roof top terrace is a great bonus after a day sightseeing, the drinks are reasonably priced e.g. 3.50 euros for a large beer and 7 for a cocktail (these are well made, not like a certain place we went too in Porto -WOW !!) you could taste the alcohol and the bar staff will bring them up to you, also a very nice addition is free nibbles later in the afternoon. All round great hotel.

I stayed at the Crowne Plaza Porto for 2 nights recently as part of a work trip. The hotel is in a good location, about 10 mins drive from the airport. There are a few small shops and bars / restaurants nearby. The rooms are nice, a great size and come with all the usual amenities that you'd expect from such a hotel. I ate in the bar on each night, the food was great and very good value for money. The service provided by the 2 bartenders was also great! I'll be back again in early summer and would recommend to anyone looking for a good hotel in Porto.

This is an excellent medium sizes hotel a 15 minute walk from the centre of Porto and right on the river. We stayed for 4 nights in late September in a back room overlooking the courtyard which was very quiet. The food is excellently prepared and breakfast has a full range of dishes including ordering an omelette to your own specification. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Good value for money and we would certainly stay there again.

The hotel is really nice situated in a central location. It matches new design, embedded into old walls in a stylish yard. The vibe is really special. It has a classy groundfloor restaurant and a rooftop bar with a beautiful view of the river. Rooms are spacious, cosy and very clean. Some small details could be improved, like a shower door scratching against the floor, or a funny smell coming out of the overhead unit. But generally, very well designed and maintained. We also got a stunning balcony! Fire doors need some attention in the staircase as without door stoppers, they slam incredibly strong. Could be a health and safety issue, but certainly a very loud noise. The restaurant serves really good food and has a nice selection of wines. My only complaint was no ironing board in the room :) as a result we requested for my shirts to be ironed for ”tonight” on the same day, specifically stating they do not need to be washed. When our anniversary dinner came, we were told the shirts would be ready at the end of the day, obviously too late as we had to leave. When raising this, the lady who I believe managed the staff (so sorry I forgot the name!!), went above and beyond and made sure we get it on time. She saved the night, which we are very grateful for! I can really recommend the hotel, a great place to stay in Porto. Could be a bit cheaper I guess :)!

The single rooms are very small, but sufficient for a multi-day city trip. The hotel is very clean and completely renovated. Complimentary water is also offered. The staff are very friendly and gave me a lot of tips on arrival and were very helpful. The reception is not open 24 hours. When I rented a bike for several days (also overnight), I could store it inside in the luggage room (got a key for it). Very accommodating and recommended. Location is also ideal.

Windows need another layer to soundproof… Room 411: New side of hotel, VERY small room; no slippers/robe offered, better layout of bathroom. No view but very quiet. Bad news: For the amount charged per room (almost €200/night or more) + standard hotel tries to maintain, complimentary coffee and water should be available every day of stay, not just day #1. Beautiful view and good food from rooftop bar but VERY SLOW service. Tips: Location is by river so about 1-2 miles from city center which is uphill from hotel. Other option is to use Uber. Tram stop and supermarket conveniently located within 1-2 blocks of hotel. Can take tram toward Dom Luis Bridge to check out restaurants with great river views: Bacalhau (very small and don’t take reservations) or Vinhas d’Alho restaurant next door, takes reservations and has more outdoor seats. Overall: Wonderful, helpful and accommodating staff in lovely location but you could find better value other places, like the many ”AL” accommodations (private apartments similar to Airbnb).
