Hotels Near Prato Porta Serraglio Station in Prato

Abbiamo soggiornato in questo hotel per qualche notte. Ubicato in una posizione ottima per muoversi comodamente in auto. La nostra stanza era abbastanza grande, comoda e dall’altro lato dell’autostrada quindi abbastanza silenziosa, bagno con doccia molto grande. Ottima la pulizia. Dalle fotografie proposte mi aspettavo qualcosa in più invece la stanza era arredata in modo molto spartano e gli spazi comuni sono un po’ datati. Ottima l’idea della stanza attrezzata a cabina armadio anche se qualche stampella in più sarebbe gradita. Non mi ha soddisfatto la colazione. Poca scelta di torte (una pastiera, una crostata ed un ciambellone che è stato lì per 3 giorni e l’ultimo giorno era diventato duro e immangiabile. This hotel was booked by a company I am working for, so I am sure it was booked purely on price as we were quite a large party. I understand that any business coming out of lockdown has a hard job on its hands, but on entering my room, I did feel it was necessary to wipe everything down with disinfectant wipes as everything was quite dusty. Some of my colleagues were unhappy with the cleanliness of their rooms. Following my initial clean down, my room was tidied daily. Wifi is poor, except in reception which has nowhere to sit and work, so if you are here on business, you don’t have any privacy to get work done. Continental breakfast is okay, but I cannot think of anything good to say about the cooked food, except that I have lost weight because I have not eaten very much. We are not allowed out of our bubble, so we have not been allowed to eat elsewhere, but if you can, I would. I have been served undercooked pasta five nights in a row, which tastes of salt, then meat and fried potatoes, which again tastes like it has been preserved in salt. Day 5 and the vegetarians in our group are stiil being served meat which could be considered quite funny, but they were not impressed. Although the staff are very apologetic, it is then replaced somewhat later with a greasy omelette which looks extremely unappetising and lonely on its plate but the soup is okay. They didn't have any sauces or gravy to serve with the food at the beginning of the week so the food tasted very over cooked, salty and dry, but we did get gravy this evening, so it has improved a little. I have been craving some vegetables with my dinner but greasy Salty eggplant is the only option. Oddly, mixed veg is served at breakfast. They dont really understand dietary requirements, so if you are ceoliac, best not chance it. I maybe doing the catering staff a dis-service, because they may have been drafted in from a different occupation, like myself and just doing their best in difficult circumstances. Catering is clearly not their forte. Everyone seems friendly enough.

Hotel recently opened in a good location, motorways and industrial areas just a few minutes away, as well as the centre, with free parking just a few meters away. The common areas are very well presented, modern and spacious furnishings, one has the impression of high quality. Very friendly and attentive staff. Very nice room, with access to the patio with swimming pool, furnished with style and with the right spaces. Impeccable cleanliness, comfortable bed, maybe a bigger TV could have been placed. The only flaw, not a small one, is the lack of soundproofing between the rooms, in fact I heard everything the neighbor did, from the shower to the phone calls. The breakfast is good even if the tables are only comfortable if you are alone. A tip: if you want to attract business customers, breakfast cannot start at 7:30. Some flaws to fix related to youth, but the foundations are there and they are excellent. Price perhaps a bit higher than average, but the structure is worth the expense.

The key point is that this hotel is far from downtown Florence! ! ! I wanted to book one near the airport, but I made a mistake and booked this one! Then go directly to the train station in Prato. The room was ok, we were on the ground floor. Breakfast is also good.

This is an excellent option to stay near Florence. It is 10 minute waking from a train station. The hotel super clean and it is to the American standards. We arrived at 11:30 pm at the Prato train station because of the floods in Bologna with no taxis in site and the guy from the front desk when the extra mile and when to get us in the station SUPER SERVICE!… the experience with this hotel was excellent… I fully recommend it since the hotels in Florence are a lot more expensive

Hotel First is situated near the town of Calenzano, Tuscany. It is a 25 minute train ride from Florence. The hotel is a 10 minute walk from the train station, get the Patagione stop not the Calenzano stop or you will be a 30 minute walk from the hotel. Trains are hourly until around 6pm, but not all trains stop there. The hotel bedrooms were very spacious and clean, beds weren't particularly comfortable, but ok. The biggest complaint I had was that they have hung the curtains about 30cm back from the actual window, and whilst looking straight on this is fine, when in bed there is a HUGE gap between the window and the wall which results in you being woken at 5am when the sunlight hits the room. The other issue is that the ground floor rooms do smell quite strongly of cigarette smoke, even though the hotel rooms are all non-smoking, not sure if this is a legacy issue, or whether some people were having crafty cigarettes but it was really noticeable. Hotel breakfast had a lot of choice and we dined twice in the restaurant in the evening which we found to be very good and reasonably priced for a hotel. Hotel staff were very friendly and helpful and understanding of my poor Italian. They nearly all spoke excellent English, which made things easier for us.

this hotel was great, comfy beds… rooms cleaned everyday, beautiful view from our room and all the facilities actually worked (tv/ bathroom/hairdryer/wifi) Allessio and Marisa are a great asset to the hotel the friendliest people ever 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 if only they worked at the reception aswell they would make customers feel greatly welcomed with there big smiles and awesome service.
