Chalet Al Lago

Province of Belluno
We have been able to find a good hotel and we have been able to find a good hotel. - We arrived at 15:30, from Bergame. We had seen the arrival hours between 17:30 and 22:30, but we thought that this would cover the hotel, if the room wasn't ready; on the other hand, we were expecting, as in any civilized hotel, to do with the hotel. The hotel is a very nice hotel, and the hotel is very nice and very nice. -One person arrives at 17:30, who will then prove to be a... cook... Pour un hôtel qui se vante d'offrir un contact en 3 langues, celui-ci parlait seulement italien, plus quelques vagues mots d'anglais. In fact, all the exchanges were then made via his laptop, where it was necessary to tap into one language, which was translated into the other... We are surprised by this ”host”, he replies us that we are not in a hotel, But in a ”Bed & Breakfast”, and that in this respect, a absence of person at the reception before the said hour is normal! - The person accompanys us to our room: very small, about 9/10 m2, Not as on the descriptions and photos of various sites, including yours (18 m2). We demand, without reminding us too well of the details: he tells us that the rooms are all the same... [We will see the next day that it is absolutely not the case, all the other rooms do at least twice the same as ours; in fact, it has not Even no number on the plane of exit in case of fire, appearing simply – with a half size compared to the other rooms – like a ”Camera privata”]. We often travel with Booking.com, and we have very often had a upgrade, never a downgrade !!!! - The room gives surely on the lake, but on the side of the hotel, where it is packed and malodorant. Let's add to this the view on the waste, appetite... Pour information, les autres chambres sont sur la longueur de l'hôtel, et bénéficient d'une vue bien meilleure... - La personne nous donne le mot de passe pour l'internet. Problem : there is a wi-fi connection but no internet ! I see another wi-fi address on my terminal, which seems to work, but you need another password... I go back to the reception: I can't find anyone, it's closed again (it's 18:30). I finally found a service entrance for the kitchens: I was sent the ”receptionist” (only one on board, he was going to dine) who explains (via his phone keyboard) that 3 years ago, the rain damaged the internet broadcaster

Park Hotel Villa Carpenada

Belluno|2.51km from city centre
I prefix this by saying that we were setup in one of the room of the annex so it’s possible the experience would be different in the main villa. We were traveling with a 5y old so we asked for a room with an additional bed. We were setup in an room in the annex that has an additional bed on a mezzanine. Since our kid is not used to that, i ended up taking that bed. We also noticed the main bed had a very worn out matress that was bending in the middle so we couldnt have all slept in it without squishing the kid. We asked to be moved but were told there was no availability. We were pretty tired so tried to lay down and relax but there were constructions going in a building very close by so no luck. At night, we heard people having an argument right outside the doors of the room. It went for long enough that i decided to step out of bed and down from the mezzanine in my underwear to ask the folks to chill and when i got out i realized it was personnel from the hotel kitchen, which is right by the annex. This is when i decided to cut the stay to only that night and booked something else. The breakfast was good and the staff in the cafeteria was nice and helpful. At the lobby, when i said i was going to checkout early, they said they would still have to charge me the second day (which i already accepted it was going to be the case) and charged me for the stay tax, which i frankly found funny. All in all, its possible that if you stay in the main villa you will have a great experience but at minimum i’d advise to stay clear of the rooms in thr annex, especially if you need quiet

Park Hotel Arnica
4.3/512 Reviews
In this period of uncertainty at various levels it is not easy to maintain a high level of quality and availability. Here at the hotel Arnica we found it: never missed smile, gentleness and friendliness. Excellent cleaning. Invidiable location and clean environment. Last but not least the spa, small but very special. Compliments to all the wonderful people who have cut us in these days! We will return ☺️
Hotel Belvedere Dolomiti
3.7/516 Reviews
Pieve di Cadore is a pretty Italian village with a wonderful lake view. The Hotel Belvedere has some rooms with this lake view. However, the hotel itself is almost impossible to find. It has no road frontage. On the road, there is a very small (black) sign that says hotel Belvedere. You then have to walk down some steps, walk past their (closed at the moment) restaurant to find the hotel entrance. This entrance faces the side of another building and the walkway/steps. You would think that the management would realise how difficult it is to find if you are in a car and perhaps send you very clear directions with your reservation confirmation! Also, the confirmation email I was sent included the incorrect phone number when I rang for directions. When we finally arrived, we found the hotel to be nice. The receptionist was very helpful and friendly. The hotel was very quiet, perhaps it is off season. The room we had was large, it had a nice clean bathroom with nice toiletries. The view from the window was spectacular. There was no aircon in the room which would make it quite uncomfortable on a hot sunny day, but, it should be fine in the winter or spring. The breakfast was fine. We parked in the hotel garage (they have 2 spots so there is no guarantee that you will get a space) at a cost of €10 per day.
Hotel Serena Cortina

We stayed for 4 nights during the last week of September and early October & it was our first time in the Dolomites. It was walking distance to town and there is free parking in the hotel. It was in a good location where restaurants and shops are walking distance. We ate dinner in restaurants close by. At check in, the reception gave us a list of recommended restaurants. The staff were nice. The breakfast was filling and they offered a variety of food and drinks. The pastries were not so good. We had better ones in the hotel at Val Gardena. On our first night, there was a big bus and in the morning, the breakfast area was so full & chaotic. There was almost no table available. The coffee/espresso maker line was very long and they ran out of cups, etc. I felt sorry for the staff who looked overwhelmed. Thank goodness that the next 3 days were better since we were in a rush to go to the mountains. We had a standard room in the Annex with a good view of the mountains & a little patio with chairs. It was quiet at night. The room rate we got was reasonably priced for the area. I was a little chilly at night and the hotel staff told us that they don’t turn on the gas until winter. Overall, our stay was good.
Grand Hotel Savoia Cortina D’Ampezzo, A Radisson C
4.5/555 Reviews
Every time I come here I notice something special, along with the other aspects of this hotel that I love. It might be that the hotel is now making some delicious bread, or that one of the guys at the Bar makes a gin and tonic to die for, or that the cable-car to Faloria is within easy walking distance and that there is probably a major world sports event taking place on our doorstep. Be it the World Skiing Championships in Winter or in Summer, the Ultra-Trail all night running race starting at 23.00. I am sure Grand Hotel Savoia is the best place to stay and soak up all that Cortina d'Ampezzo has to offer especially the excellent customer service and outstanding personnel.
B&B Hotel Passo Tre Croci Cortina
4.4/581 Reviews
I came to B&B Tre Croci Cortina for a solo stay – I've been here on sabbatical for 6 days and 5 nights, and my stay at this B&B was nothing short of amazing. It's located right outside of Cortina, which is very convenient because of how close it is to Lake Sorapis, Lake Braies, and Tre Cime & Cadini di Minsurina. The hotel staff is very kind, patient, and courtesy... and the kitchen/dining staff is PHENOMENAL. They're very intentional about making your staff feel like home. Yamirka & her fellow dining staff made the difference in my staff. The rooms are very modern & there is plenty of space. The view of the mountains is beautiful, too. The only cons I would mention are the level of noise from patrons who don't do their best to abide by the ask for quiet in the hallways – I don't think it's intentional, but the closeness to the hallways makes a bit of a difference. Also, I'm someone who likes to sleep with it very cold, and my room thermostat wouldn't go down for some reason (I just slept with the door open as it was cold outside at night). I couldn't recommend this place more. If you're coming to the Dolomites, stay here! 🖤
Hotel Lajadira & Spa
4.4/533 Reviews
We loved our stay at this oasis after a week hiking the Dolomites and staying in rifugios. It was the perfect place to relax and feel luxurious in this very well appointed hotel with a lovely spa, spa services and pool. Augusto was so helpful and friendly as were all of the staff. It’s a short walk to heart of the town but taxis were easy to get as well. And look at these tomatoes! I mean- really, only in Italy! Grazie Mille for a great stay.
