Great location and grand Italian Villa. Our room #20 was at ground floor with private outdoor area. Reasonable standard. Other than a faulty shower rose, the room was reasonable considering its vintage. Trying to communicate ahead of arrival on where to park a car via phone was futile, and the receptionist when we got here just shrugged her shoulders when questioned why no answer, then added no value as to where we should park. We are very disappointed that we were given no help to find a parking area for our 2 day stay. Note unless you are very lucky all the free parking spaces in the area are snapped up by the locals. The paid parking nearby is at horrendous cost. We are 66 Euro out of pocket for open paid unsecured parking for two days. No help from the Hotel. They should provide at a minimum a map of where there are suitable parking, or prearrange with a parking company suitable parking spots for their guests, even if it’s an extra charge. Finally, the continental breakfast we had here is not up to standard of a 4 star hotel. Rather than a raft of cakes perhaps a greater emphasis on providing fresh fruit would be a healthier choice.
