We had a wonderful stay at this hotel near the Avatar Mountains, surrounded by stunning scenery and a peaceful atmosphere that made the experience truly special. The location was perfect for visiting the nearby national forest and enjoying the natural beauty of the area. A special mention goes to the lady at the reception, who was incredibly friendly and helpful from the moment we arrived. She took the time to explain everything we needed to know about the national forest, giving us clear and useful details that made planning our visit so much easier. On top of that, she kindly helped us book the tickets in advance, saving us time and ensuring a smooth and stress-free experience. Her kindness, professionalism, and willingness to go the extra mile really stood out and made our trip even more enjoyable. Thanks to her, we were able to fully appreciate the beauty of the area without any worries. Overall, it was a fantastic stay that we will always remember.

The resort is a little tricky to get to if you hire DiDi so make sure to utilize their free pickup service from airport or train station. They were very accommodating. We booked the hotel last min and they were able to arrange a driver to pick us up on the same day. Overall the stay was very comfortable and it’s located in a small village just steps away from one of the 5 entrances to the National Forest. We definitely enjoyed the small town feel. It was a nice trip to decompress after the lively, bright lights and bustling streets of Chongqing (which was also great!). The food they serve and free breakfast was very good. Will definitely stay here again when we revisit Zhangjiajie.

The hotel's location is excellent, right at the confluence of the Xiangjiang and Liuyang rivers. Our room had a northern view, overlooking the Changsha Museum, Library, and Music Center, offering a broad and open panorama of the city's relaxed and comfortable vibe. The room layout was well-designed, with a smooth flow, making all functional areas convenient to use. The lounge's snacks were quite good, and the cocktail making was self-service. Downstairs, one side leads directly to the Beichenhui commercial complex, while the other opens to the riverside greenway, making shopping and strolling very convenient. There's also a small sports center nearby where you can play tennis, squash, badminton, etc., making it a very comfortable choice for a vacation. Finally, a big thank you to rarity and Sera for their enthusiastic assistance; the service was excellent and very personalized.

Absolutely delighted! The hotel service was exceptional, and every staff member was incredibly enthusiastic, treating their work as if it were their own. We stayed here for one night after our tour group finished on May 3rd. There are many Hilton hotels in Zhangjiajie city, and I spent a long time comparing them on my phone the night before. I noticed this was the only one without any negative reviews, plus it had a swimming pool (which my kids were really keen on), so we ultimately chose it. On the evening of May 3rd, it was already 7:30 PM when we came down from the Tianmen Mountain cable car. After grabbing dinner near Tianmen Centre, I called the hotel concierge to ask if there was a car available to pick us up. The concierge promptly arranged it, and a car arrived at our designated spot in less than ten minutes. Only after getting in did we realize that the hotel's business cars were fully occupied, and it was a staff member who came to pick us up in their personal car. That instantly warmed my heart. We arrived at the hotel in less than ten minutes, and the concierge had already upgraded our room for free to an invincible panoramic window suite facing Tianmen Mountain. They also thoughtfully prepared disposable slippers, toothbrushes, and mineral water for our two children, and included a complimentary breakfast. When we inquired about our half-day itinerary for the next day, they gave us very practical advice. Since our high-speed train was at 3 PM on May 4th, they even went out of their way to coordinate with the hotel's heated swimming pool to open earlier, at 11:50 AM instead of 1 PM, so our kids could swim. The next day, the pool became our family's private retreat, and the children had an absolute blast! Furthermore, the hotel was very quiet, and the facilities and equipment were incredibly user-friendly. We had a wonderful rest! Many thanks to the hotel concierge and to Hilton Garden Inn. I'm sure I'll be back!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Five-Star Review: No.5 Valley Lodge, Zhangjiajie, China Staying at No.5 Valley Lodge was nothing short of magical. Tucked away in the breathtaking valleys of Zhangjiajie, this lodge feels like a hidden sanctuary where nature, comfort, and heartfelt hospitality come together perfectly. From the moment I arrived, I was surrounded by towering karst mountains, lush greenery, and a sense of calm you simply can’t find in the city. The rooms are beautifully designed—clean, cozy, and thoughtfully detailed—with stunning views that make waking up feel like a dream. Every corner of the lodge blends seamlessly with the natural landscape, creating an authentic yet luxurious experience. What truly sets No.5 Valley Lodge apart is the staff. Warm, attentive, and genuinely caring, they go above and beyond to make you feel at home. Their local knowledge is invaluable, whether you’re planning visits to Zhangjiajie National Forest Park, Tianmen Mountain, or discovering lesser-known scenic trails. The food is another highlight—fresh, flavorful, and comforting, with local touches that make every meal memorable. If you’re looking for a peaceful escape, a romantic retreat, or a base for exploring one of China’s most spectacular destinations, No.5 Valley Lodge is an absolute gem. I would return in a heartbeat and recommend it without hesitation. ✨ A perfect stay in one of the most beautiful places on Earth.

This guesthouse is incredibly convenient! It's right next to Wuyi Square, just a short walk to the subway station and all those popular snack streets. You can grab famous Changsha delicacies like 'Cha Yan Yue Se' bubble tea and stinky tofu just a few steps away. When you're tired from exploring, you can pop back to rest anytime – it's absolutely fantastic! Our whole stay was delightful. First, they have a 24-hour concierge to pick you up. Plus, they'll recommend local dining and entertainment guides for Changsha and the surrounding areas. The hotel facilities are also top-notch; the hairdryer is a Dyson! They even provide facial cleansing towels and steam eye masks, which is such a thoughtful touch. I'll definitely stay here again next time I'm in Changsha.

Honestly, the room was nice but was very noisy with the plane flew over occasionally during midnight. The hotel 3rd floor restaurants were not operating at night so THEY TURNED OFF THE ENTIRE FLOOR LIGHTS. Once you exit the lift, it’s pitch dark… They also turned off the lights for those conference rooms and corridors next to the washing machine areas at my room floor… It was so horrifying. Told the front desk, they said they will turn it on but nope. Nothing was done. While no other users but only our clothes were on self service washing, we returned within 10 mins after the washing timer completed. Shockingly noticed our clothes have started drying on incorrect setting. (We needed cold temp, slow spinning). It was the cleaner who “helped” us. It may be out of good wills but I personally find it inappropriate since no permissions were granted to touch or move our belongings.. The butler lady who contacted me through WeChat were also quite pushy on getting me to buy the tour tickets from her. She will keep reminding me to quickly make decisions on the ticket purchase… Intentions were questionable as my other hotel butler did not keep insisting. Nonetheless, she was still very helpful and responsive. When we arrived, there were no services and the front desk gave me the “you should have known how the hotel works” kind of look and instructed me with 2 lines:“ Breakfast at level 3, washing machine at level 5.”

Great location! Downstairs, you're right on Pozi Street and Taiping Old Street. It's also super close to Hisense Plaza and Orange Isle. You can easily get to all the sights by subway. We stayed for two nights, and a cleaning lady came every day. We were even able to store our luggage after check-out.

Staying at the Grand Hyatt in Changsha really showed me what 'riverside view at its finest' means! Downstairs is the Wenheyou Haixin Square branch, and it's super convenient to walk to Pozi Street for snacks. The river view room is perfect for photos. Waking up to see Chairman Mao's statue in the morning mist as I pulled back the curtains was truly an awakening moment. At dusk, the rosy glow on the river, and then the light show along both banks of the Xiang River at night – every frame is like a wallpaper. The hotel's high-rise lobby and sky-high afternoon tea are also great for a visit. The front desk staff were very enthusiastic and even proactively recommended must-try Changsha delicacies and sightseeing routes. The overall experience was absolutely fantastic!

The hotel room was exceptionally spacious with a classic decor, and the bedding was of very high quality and incredibly comfortable. The butler service exceeded my expectations and truly impressed me. Before check-in, the butler, Grace, proactively contacted me to inquire about my needs. Throughout my stay, whatever I required, the butler responded promptly and resolved my issues, making me feel exceptionally cared for. The hotel offers a wide variety of dining options, with a diverse breakfast selection and a pleasant restaurant ambiance. Highly recommended!

AAnonymous UserThis hotel blew it out of the water for us. They made our trip to Zhangjiajie a million times better than it would have been if we had stayed elsewhere. It all started 2 months before our stay. Our hotel butler reached out to me via WeChat and answered all the questions we had about everything. I told our butler that we would be arriving at 9pm and she arranged for a vehicle to pick us up from the airport. The cost was 100 yuan which is a bit steeper than a Didi but I felt it was well worth it since the drive is more than 30 minutes and we were able to guarantee that all our luggages would fit. A week before our stay she reached out to us and asked if we needed to book tickets for tianmendong and for zhangjiajie forest. She booked both for us with the times we wanted and said we could pay her once we arrived. I double checked the prices and they were exactly the same as what we would have paid if we booked it ourselves. But with her help everything went very smoothly. The day before we arrived, the driver called me and confirmed that he would pick us up from the airport. The second our flight arrived, he called and confirmed that he was waiting at the gate. Once we came out, he was standing there with a sign with my name on it. It was all very cute and he parked somewhere convenient for us to get picked up. The drive over was smooth and efficient. Our butler also confirmed that she saved us afternoon tea and would have congee ready for us as well. Service was already excelling beyond control at this point. Once we arrived at the hotel, we checked in with her on the first floor and she gave us a quick rundown of the facilities and everything. When we arrived in our room, it was clean and the bed were nice and big. I also liked that they use Jo Loves for their toiletries. The afternoon tea and congee came up shortly after we walked in. Our room faced this courtyard that was beautiful. Felt like we were living in a fairytale. I liked that the blinds were automatic which was great. They also have a Xiao Du assistant that can help control blinds, temperature and the TV as well. Love the technology. My only complaint about this hotel is that it gets a bit hot at night. You need to have the aircon on and the window open in order to be at a decent temperature. Breakfast was another highlight. The chef who also takes away the dishes, is super friendly and so is the auntie who makes the noodles. He was so nice and even made tomato egg when we requested it. The bread etc. Wasn't that great BUT the Chinese dishes he made were all really good. Theres this pork rib dish he makes that is so good. For all 4 days that we stayed there, the food he made was different. Another great function they have was the robot delivery service. Yes they delivery food but also they have a QR code with products that they have available for free. For example you could order a feet soaking tub (great for long days) and you could also order face washing clothes, one time use underwear, rain jackets. Basically anything you could think of, they probably have. The afternoon tea and the congee is available everyday so keep that in mind for days you can't find any decent food outside. We noticed that they had traditional clothing available and so I asked the butler about it. All you need to do is book a timeslot with them and they have a photographer come in and take photos of you. The photographer in the end ended up taking 120 photos of the 3 of us. She was so professional. She edits around 5 for you and the rest are just raw which is great. Location wise, this hotel is perfect if you are visiting zhangjiajie forest. The south entrance is literally right there. Like 2 minute walk. It's literally right next to the south exit too. There's a KFC nearby which is great and also a Chagee. If you walk one street down there are tons of eateries. Overall: this hotel was amazing. Would definitely recommend.

I especially want to commend Ms. Qu Xianlin, a server in the restaurant, for her exceptionally thoughtful and enthusiastic service. GGuest UserThe Zuixiangxi Grand Hotel truly lives up to its name, both in terms of being 'the best' and 'grand.' It's conveniently located right next to the main scenic area, offering direct views of the most beautiful sights. The hotel itself is quite large, as is its parking lot, which even has charging stations. Right in front of the hotel, there's a big landscaped square. Despite its proximity to the core scenic spots, it's very quiet. The rooms are spacious and clean, offering excellent value for money. The restaurant is also very large, allowing you to enjoy delicious meals without even leaving the hotel, and the breakfast spread is extensive. The front desk staff are incredibly welcoming, providing gifts upon arrival and departure. Ctrip customers even have a dedicated reception floor! There are also amenities like a supermarket and opportunities for ethnic costume photography. If you're looking to meet international guests, this hotel sees a lot of them. It really feels like there's nothing guests can't imagine that the hotel can't provide. It's perfectly suited for self-driving travelers who want to avoid unnecessary expenses.

GGuest UserIt's super convenient to get to Tianmen Mountain by taxi, and they have free parking. The room was really clean, which is a huge plus for me since I'm a bit of a clean freak! You can clearly see the beautiful Tianmen Mountain from the 7th-floor observation deck, it's like a painting. The manager and housekeeper provided amazing service; they even prepared breakfast for us even though we woke up late this morning, which was so thoughtful. It made us feel warm inside during our first visit to such a cold place like Zhangjiajie ❤️ Highly recommend it! 👍👍 Not many hotels pass my 'clean freak' test, haha. If you're planning a trip and need a room, go for it! Oh, and the balcony was great for drying clothes; the sun felt lovely.

GGuest UserA comfortable base near Tianmen Mountain — great value for 2 nights! We stayed for two nights at the Suxin Tianmen Yinlu Hotel and were pleasantly surprised by its comfort, location, and service. It’s an excellent choice for travellers planning to explore Tianmen Mountain and the surrounding area. Location: 8.5/10. The hotel is conveniently located just a 15 minute walk from the entrance to Tianmen Mountain National Park and the Tianmen Cableway station. This made it easy for us to start our day early and avoid the busiest crowds. The hotel is a bit old, but it’s well maintained and clean. Our room was quiet and comfortable, with everything we needed for a good rest after long days of exploring. The staff were incredibly nice and went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable. They gave us useful tips on the best routes and timing for Tianmen Mountain, helping us avoid long queues. A special mention goes to the breakfast they prepared for us. Despite the hotel not having a formal restaurant, the staff took care to arrange a hearty and delicious breakfast each morning. It included local specialties and some Western options — exactly what we needed to fuel up for a day of hiking. Value for money: 9/10. For a 2‑night stay, the price felt very fair. You get a clean, comfortable room in a strategic location with exceptionally kind and helpful staff — exactly what you need when exploring Tianmen Mountain. Minor notes: the hotel’s design is a bit dated, but this didn’t affect our comfort in any way. The focus here is clearly on practicality and hospitality rather than modern aesthetics. I would definitely recommend the Suxin Tianmen Yinlu Hotel to anyone visiting Tianmen Mountain for 1–3 nights. It’s not a luxury resort, but its convenient location, clean rooms, and wonderful staff make it a practical and welcoming choice.

CCaptured WanderlustI had an incredible stay at this hotel in Zhangjiajie. Even before I arrived, the staff reached out to coordinate my airport pickup, which made everything feel seamless from the start. When I finally arrived, it was late at night, dark, and raining—but they were still waiting for me. Two staff members stood outside my villa with umbrellas and helped carry my belongings inside, which was such a thoughtful and welcoming touch. The villa itself was absolutely stunning. It was very spacious, with a large balcony that offered breathtaking views of the mountains and valleys. It quickly became my favorite spot to sit, relax, and take in the scenery. There was even a huge jacuzzi on the balcony, which made the experience feel extra special—soaking while overlooking the mountains was unforgettable. Breakfast is available each morning and they’ll pick you up in a golf cart, which is very convenient. While I’m not much of a breakfast person, I did try their dinner—and it was delicious. They delivered it right to my villa and beautifully set it up on the balcony, which made for such a peaceful and memorable dining experience. The staff truly went above and beyond throughout my stay. They offered helpful recommendations, assisted me with booking tickets for a show, and even drove me there. This was especially appreciated since the attractions in Zhangjiajie are quite spread out—their transportation made everything so much easier. Overall, this is an exceptional hotel with outstanding service, stunning views, and incredible attention to detail. I would absolutely recommend it, and it will be the only place I stay when I return to Zhangjiajie.

BBelleWQishi Li Cave Guesthouse was an exceptional place to stay that provides 24/7 butler/housekeeper service and I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Zhangjiajie. The service was excellent, and the two housekeepers, Yuan-Yuan and Xiao Tang, were absolutely amazing. They provided support and assistance around the clock and were always helpful, caring, kind, and friendly. Xiao Tang in particular went above and beyond to help me find Chinese art paintings, as I was unfamiliar with the local shops. He also recommended great local restaurants, arranged pick-up and drop-off for us, and even helped us order dinner when we were too tired to go out, especially since I could not use the local food delivery apps or read Chinese. Yuan-Yuan was also wonderful and very thoughtful. She kindly looked after my 16 years old son when he was too tired after our second day and stayed back at the guesthouse while I went sightseeing. What impressed me most was how they helped plan our entire 3-day itinerary in Zhangjiajie. They bought tickets for the scenic areas and arranged a personal English-speaking tour guide for us. Everything was so well organised that I did not have to worry about anything at all. The guesthouse itself is unique, clean and quite new, with an amazing atmosphere that feels calm, peaceful, and beautiful. The location is also excellent, just a 10-minute walk along the river to the East Gate of Zhangjiajie National Forest Park at Wulingyuan. This was truly a memorable stay. I would definitely stay here again on my next visit. Thank you Xiao Tang and Yuan Yuan.
