Only a short stay, very large room kept nice and clean. Lovely animation team working hard to make your holiday fun. All the staff were friendly and attentive. Didn't really eat at the hotel so can't comment on the food

Worst experience ever, I placed booking for 8 people 2 rooms. When I arrive I am told that reservations are only for 2 people. Do I have to pay an additional amount again? No help at all from the hotel. Worst service. Double screwed with trip.com

The water switch button of the bathroom in the room is missing, the sink is leaking, the curtain hooks are broken in many places, the furniture is old like a guest house, you need to remind the service desk for cleaning, the service desk does not actively provide beach towel exchange cards, the service desk staff is cold, and the corridors are renovated Like a prison, you don't take the initiative to inform the meal time. The porter service is more active.

Had a fantastic, lovely, unforgettable vacation with great experience. The staff is doing great job with a big smile on their faces, the rooms are clean and very comfortable, the restaurant has a variety of local and international food, the pool is always clean, the private sandy beach is wonderful, the gym, a special thanks to the animation team with their non stop day and night activities especially to Abozaid Haitham (Zeita) and to Roody with their daily classes of zumba, stretching, aquagym, etc. with their Disco nights, Oriental, etc. Will visit you again in October. I recommend AURORA ORIENTAL RESORT.

The pool area and the walk down to the beach is amazing. The staff are excellent. The rooms are a little dated but it is to be expected. Wide variation of food even if you're are a picky eater like me. We spent our days on the beach mostly and was waited on throughout the day by Tawfik who was excellent at his job and very helpful. On an evening we watched the entertainment and was greeted every evening by Abozad and his team who work really hard through the day and night to keep you entertained. Abozad went out of his way to make us feel special and always with a big smile on his face. We also enjoyed our evenings at the piano bar where we met Atef who was also excellent at his job and very funny and kept our drinks flowing all evening. I've only mentioned a few of the staff but the whole hotel team were brilliant. Would highly recommend.

We had an amazing holiday at Aurora, we would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone and will absolutely be returning. The room was very spacious and comfortable, the cleaners always ensured there were bottles of water for us and the bath towels were changed daily. The pool area was always clean and tidy. The bar man at the main pool was lovely and friendly and worked hard throughout the day. The gardens in the hotel were kept immaculate, there were gardeners constantly out on the lawns keeping the place pretty. The restaurant was always clean, and the food was always tasty and fresh. The animation team were very welcoming, so energetic and kept the energy up in the hotel. The shows on an evening were good and the animation team put a lot of effort into their day to make the guests happy and ensured there were lots for us to do, we knew if we had any problems we could speak to Abozaid. The snorkelling was amazing! The beach was lovely and the toilets were kept clean. The guy on the pier where you went snorkelling was so friendly and helpful, the fishes and sealife we saw down at the beach was amazing, this could've been our favourite part. We booked 2 trips with Jamal, who worked in the excursion group, he recommended the boat trip to White Island with the scuba diving which was such a great experience. We also did the quad bikes and camel ride in the desert which was another amazing experience. All in all to say this was our first time in Egypt it was an amazing experience and a place where we made many happy memories, thanks to the staff, animation team and the hotel being as beautiful as it is. We can't wait to be coming back.

Decent hotel for the price , good value for money. Rooms was good and kept very clean by our cleaner . Most days spent at the waterfalls pool with the barman “MO” being great at keeping our drinks flowing. Pool/towel guys Ahmed and Wabedey happy to move the lounger’s and parasols. Tawafek in the piano bay was always smiling .

The hotel was absolutely fantastic, great food. My girlfriend has a nut allergy and they couldn't be more helpful Chef Ahmed Haredy was particularly helpful every night. Bebo on the Piano Bar was also great, he made our holiday so much fun, really such a lovely bloke. The three pools and beach, are fantastic excellent food on the beach bar particularly the lunch we had prepared by Kareem who again was polite and couldn't do enough for us. Parasailing was available on the beach jetty and was a great experience, you just need to book a day in advance. We chose to avoid the hotel shop after a bad experience we found the shopkeeper a bit rude and wouldn't budge on very high prices, but there is a Metro store 30 seconds from the hotel gates which is great. We would also recommend the hotel update there hairdryers in the rooms as ours kept overheating. Despite these couple of small issues we would 100% book again as we had an absolutely fantastic stay

One word defines my stay at Aurora Oriental Resort: people. I planned my trip through Egypt (Cairo, River Nile - Luxor, Aswan, Abu Simbel, etc) to end at Sharm El Sheik, to scuba dive and relax. Even arriving at 1am at this nice resort, they quickly prepared a light meal for me and my group. At the restaurant, on the beach, everywhere in the resort, all the staff smile to you and do all efforts to assist you. I really felt comfortable there and surely recommend the place for everyone!

The hotel it self is in a good location, grounds are very clean, staff are very helpful and this is as far as it goes. When we checked in the first room they gave us (on ground floor No 127) the bedroom was ok but the bathroom, well there was a hole in the bath and it had been filled in with plaster which had a crack in it, so went back to reception and told them, we was told to go and get some food and come back later while they sorted another room which they did (119), again the room was ok but let down by the bathroom which needed a good revamp, The food at the hotel was ok ish, we knew what it was going to be like as we have been to Egypt a few times now and we do go and eat out a few times while we are there just to have a change of food. The pools, there are 3 of them, the relax pool which has a swim up bar BUT the pool was stone cold so we only used this the once, the main pool, again stone cold and only used the once, the water fall pool was heated (just) but was small which we didnt mind, and of course the beach which we liked, now the only down side with the beach is that the bar at the beach, when the served food, as soon as it was put out it was cold, so this did not go down well. The drinks at the hotel was ok ish, there is the pit stop bar where you pay for better drinks, but the wine is not all that and sometimes its served in paper cups, the beer is so so unless you pay for it and get a better brand. So to round this up, Hotel is def not a 5 star, staff are good and hotel is clean BUT it badly needs a revamp with the rooms, would i come back to this hotel NO.

lovely hotel stayed 8-15th june.room needed updating but clean after all only sleeping in room.food good something for everyone.pools clean we tended to stay at the swim up bar pool which was out of reception turn right down some steps pool lad Sammy was lovely put some flowers on little table for my birthday & put banner up.I would stay at this hotel again BUT only if lifts were installed.was put in a top floor room even after emailing hotel direct to ask for ground or first floor room as I have to use crutches ( did ask after couple of days to be moved no go).so to get to restaurant or pools had to walk down 5 flights of stairs or 2 flights to reception and then down highly polished staircase with no handrail,all step in & outside of hotel did not have any handrails, started running little shuttle bus to beach which was great because is a trot from room to beach and yes there is a BUT to get into shuttle step was so high husband had to fold 2 beach towels in halve put on top of each other ,so would recommend hotel maintenance weld a step on to help people with mobility issues

This was our first trip to Egypt and we have had thee best holiday and will definitely return in the future, already looking at booking it was that good. First of all the hotel is spotless and the cleaners do a wonderful job at keeping everything immaculate. The bar staff are second to none and look after you from the moment you arrive ( a special mention to Mr Hendy at The Piano Bar, Moeman at The Pool Bar, Bebo at beach bar & Mostafa at Pit Stop) you all looked after us so well and we really appreciated it. The rooms are to a good standard and have everything you would expect, tea, coffee facilities, fridge, free safe, free 2 litre bottles of water which are replenished daily (a special thank you to Elsayed who kept our room spotless and for ur fab towel art). The restaurant is spacious and cater to all types including allergies. There is a large selection of foods to choose from such as: Fresh pizza station, fresh pasta station, bbq station with fresh cooked meats & fish, extensive salad bar, kids choices, Dessert bar and plenty more. We were thoroughly looked after at meal times by Mr Mohamad El Nagar and Mahmoud Badowy and thank them both so much for there hospitality. The pool/towel attendant was fabulous and very attentive thank you mostafa. The entertainment was great for us and gave us something to do after dinner, we especially liked the colour beach party thank you to the new girl Aazra you were a joy and so lovely. There's plenty to do around the hotel with lots of shops, bars and restaurants across the road and down at the beach you can book trips and quads. There is also a pier where the instructor took my daughter snorkeling to see fish & coral off his own back at no cost which we really appreciated. Thank you Aurora Oriental so much for a truly wonderful holiday, we will definitely be back very soon. Ps. Farsha Cafe is a must stunning n defo bring mosquito spray they are rife x
