Hotel was nice and staff friendly. Food repetitive. The beach was nice but couldn’t swim had to walk 500m out as shallow.

Only a short stay, very large room kept nice and clean. Lovely animation team working hard to make your holiday fun. All the staff were friendly and attentive. Didn't really eat at the hotel so can't comment on the food

Nice hotel with good service

Worst experience ever, I placed booking for 8 people 2 rooms. When I arrive I am told that reservations are only for 2 people. Do I have to pay an additional amount again? No help at all from the hotel. Worst service. Double screwed with trip.com

The water switch button of the bathroom in the room is missing, the sink is leaking, the curtain hooks are broken in many places, the furniture is old like a guest house, you need to remind the service desk for cleaning, the service desk does not actively provide beach towel exchange cards, the service desk staff is cold, and the corridors are renovated Like a prison, you don't take the initiative to inform the meal time. The porter service is more active.

We stayed at the Aurora oriental resort for 11 nights between the 3-14th November. Arrived just after 20.00, check in was swift and efficient. Left our bags at reception and were told to go for dinner and when we finished to return back to reception and we would be shown to our rooms with our luggage taken for us. W had booked 2 rooms as no family rooms were available when booking the holiday. We were given 2 double interconnecting rooms rooms, which were very large with 2 double beds in each. Rooms had air conditioning, a fridge and a kettle with tea and coffee restocked everyday. They could do with a bit of updating, but good otherwise. The cleaner for our rooms (277/279) Hassan was great, really friendly. Made some really good art with towels. Our daughter had her birthday when we were there and he decorated the room. Later on he came and delivered a cake for her. The hotel grounds are very big and well maintained with 3 pools, one with a slide in it. Plenty of sun lounges available and the people who give the towels and set your loungers up are lovely and very helpful. Life guards are friendly and always watching over the pools. The beach is accessible from the hotel, its a nice 5 minute walk from the main hotel area. There is a shuttle bus that goes every hour if you don't want to walk. The beach is lovely, lots of loungers and a bar available where you can get food at lunch time if you don't want to walk back up to the main restaurant. It can be quite difficult to get around the hotel if you have mobility issues or have small children in pushchairs. There is only 1 lift that I could see and to access the restaurant by using the lift it would take you outside the building down a steep ramp and then back up another small ramp to access the restaurant. The staff in the restaurant were fantastic, always willing to help and friendly. After a couple of days we didn't even need to order drinks, they were just brought for us. The food was plentiful, a great choice of everything. You never went hungry. The breakfast chef, Mustafa was great, as soon as he saw us, our eggs/omelettes were being prepared. The animation team were great, all friendly and polite. Had activities throughout the day and they engaged with people in a very polite way. There was no pressure to join in if you didn't want to. Bakar and Dom were great with my disabled daughter. The kids club was good, ran by a lovely young lady called Natasha who my daughter Amelia was very fond of. She also took the mini disco at night. There was entertainment every night, some times at the amphitheatre or at the beach. All in all it was a very nice holiday. The hotel is nice a little dated in parts, but the staff make up for this. Everyone member of staff is brilliant, all so hard working and polite. They really are a credit to the hotel.

We have just come back from having the most amazing 2 weeks at this hotel. From the moment we arrived we were looked after like no other hotel we've been in. Our House keeper Almed Fathy made the most amazing towel art I've ever seen. Cleaned the room every single day and always greeted us with a smile & wished us a lovely day. He is a credit to this hotel. The Towel guys at the Beach again were amazing looked after us for the 2 weeks like royalty. We went to the beach everyday as it's what we prefer and again it's amazing. The Barman in the Lemon & Twist bar Abdo again after 3 days knew our drinks and as soon as you walked in drinks were done . The Hotel it's self was great .We couldn't fault the food so much choice to choose from breakfast lunch and dinner. Rooms were lovely good air conditioning, the bathroom good, and always a lovely hot shower. Every member of staff in this hotel was very polite and helpful. Location was brilliant as nice bars and restaurants just outside if you wanted something else. Would definitely return to this hotel. Many thanks again to everyone at this hotel.

The service was amazing at the hotel and the house keeper (Gomma) ensured our rooms were kept clean and created lovely decor on the beds each day. Food was freshly prepared and a large cuisine to choose from. The staff were amazing and nothing was too much for them.

One of the most wonderful trips of my life! Great staff and amazing animation team who could make us feel at home. Had so much fun with all the activities we had, from day trips to parasailing at sunset…I’ll definitely come back, left a piece of my heart there

Amazing hotel, the food was amazing very friendly staff especially the animation team, lil boy loved the mini disco and also the animation team. we are deffo going to stay in this hotel on our next visit, they had different entertainment for everyone

Returned yesterday from a fantastic week away with friends, although the hotel is dated it is immaculate and the staff are amazing, shout out to Hassan who cleaned our rooms, all the bar staff. The food at the buffet was great, plenty to choose from and always replenished. The ladies in the spa were also brilliant. Location of this hotel is spot on plenty close by, hugely recommended

Very nice hotel, great staff, delicious food and wonderful surroundings. The sea is just a few minutes from the hotel and the environment is pet friendly. Rooms Dated, in need of repair, tiles 20 in total in bathroom cracked! Bath grouting dirty Bed comfy, air on ok, room cleaning, very good. We had a room extension it’s around £5 per hour, unfortunately the PERVY room cleaner was outside our window sweeping before we left. Food You won’t go hungry! Great selection and variation excellent Drinks Ok, not great you have to ask for a glass or you are given plastic, not great, staff are superb Beach/sea and bar Beach is clean and beds very comfortable, sea warm to paddle you can walk in very calm and shallow, sealife…. We have visited Sharm some 12 times before and this is the worse we’ve seen, no coral and only a few fish, bar good for cool drinks, lunch buffet not great , same daily pizza chips, burgers, go into the hotel. Hotel dogs are calm and friendly don’t be scared. Entertainment Didn’t get involved, those who did seemed to enjoy, watched part of one nights show at the amphitheater uncomfortable seats, no where to get a drink, hence only saw part of one show. Outside A good selection of shops if you can take the persistent aggravation, it drives me mad, best to just ignore them as they all say the same crap! Pools We’re freezing in October, one said it was heated IT WAS NOT! Pool staff were excellent special shout out to OBAMA kind and very attentive. Airport Is only 15 mins away, unless you have loads of drop offs! All in all it was a relaxing holiday, great food,drinks ok, I would return my wife says she would prefer elsewhere, but these rooms need to be refurbished!

I liked the carefree and calm atmosphere of the hotel. From arrival to completion I encountered nothing but friendly and helpful service. The room was cleaned daily and I wasn't bothered by its slightly worn appearance. It was extra nice to always find a decoration of towels on the bed when entering the room. The animation team did not force anyone to participate, they were always good-natured and ready to talk. The food was varied - the only downside I would add is that the floor is quite slippery and you should be careful when returning to the table with your food. There were sunbeds by the pool, towels were always provided and the parasol was opened. I definitely recommend this hotel.
