Average hotel

I stayed at this hotel for a total of 7 nights. The hotel's facilities, environment, and hygiene are good. Most of the staff are polite and will take the initiative to say hello. Some people are not very polite. The breakfast is quite rich. . The reason I chose this hotel is that it is located in an area with good security. But something terrible happened at 2 pm on February 1st. I called an Uber and was about to leave. When I was waiting for the online shuttle service in front of the hotel, a motorcycle wandered in front of the hotel. There were two people on the motorcycle. When it passed by me, it snatched my Samsung S23ultar mobile phone. After that, a student helped call the police. A nearby police car quickly arrived. After learning the truth, I chased the thief in the direction where he fled, and then two others came to the hotel, the policeman checked the surveillance video of the incident and left. From the time I checked in at the hotel until my phone was stolen, the hotel never reminded me to be vigilant about my phone at the hotel entrance, especially people riding motorcycles. If I had been informed in advance, this incident could have been avoided. I think the hotel is responsible for the mobile phone that was snatched by the gangsters at 2am at the hotel gate, however, the hotel's attitude was very cold, they only emphasized that what happened outside the hotel had nothing to do with the hotel and could only blame the police, I even called the police to emphasize that the hotel was not responsible for this matter. After this incident, not only did I lose a mobile phone, but my entire mood became worse, I felt helpless in the face of the hotel's indifferent attitude! Until I checked out of this hotel, its person in charge did not compensate me in any way, and even urged me to renew my stay and pay while waiting for the police to deal with the case, and then left the hotel without paying. I also tried to contact Ctrip to negotiate with the hotel, but that did not change the hotel's attitude. Later, Ctrip (complaining about the housekeeper Xiao Zhu) obtained compensation for me and refunded me one day's hotel fee, which was more than 500 RMB. I think Xiao Zhu has already done his best and I would like to thank them. The above is my personal experience of staying at this hotel for your reference.

This is a regular hotel. The mattress and pillows have improved my sleep quality. The restaurant is exquisite, the security factor is high, the breakfast is rich, and the service staff are very polite. I recommend this hotel 👍

Very clean, the boss is very enthusiastic, I will come again next time I stay

I stayed here for 1 night as part of an organised tour. The hotel is located in the new part of Quito, not massively convenient for the historic centre without taking a taxi or public transport. There appeared to be a security guard on the entrance at all times, but I never felt unsafe in the area. All staff members I interacted with were friendly and the reception staff spoke good English. My room was up 2 flights of stairs, without a lift this waws inconvenient with a heavy suitcase. The bedroom was very small, the bed was a good size but there was barely enough room for me to open my suitcase on the floor. The bed was comfortable at least and had a choice of pillows. In contrast the bathroom was a reasonable size. There was a good sized shower but with no bathtub (the hot water was consistent), the sink was made of transparent glass which was interesting but the tap seemed to splash water everywhere. The breakfast was buffet style, there was a good choice but nothing spectacular. Cereals and yogurts, fruit, continental stuff, bread, and some hot options such as scrambled eggs etc. Overall it was an ok stay for 1 night. The location, room size, and room location were the negatives for me. There also seemed to be a newer wing of the hotel which looked more modern and had a lift, I wonder what one has to do to get a room there.

What a wonderful hotel. We had rachtiful room with a lovely big bed, roof terrace and a fantastic shower. Breakfast and dinner in the restaurant are also very good and tasty. The staff us friendly and helpful. We could leave our bag in the hotel when we were in the jungle. Special compliments to staff member Jose. Who was very helpful and service oriented via email. With great pleasure we will come back again.

We loved our stay at Ikala Quito. There is a very European feel to the hotel, comfortable rooms and beds, fabulous breakfast, welcoming helpful staff. They can provide transportation from the Quito airport. We cannot say enough good things about them! Highly recommend them.

Great rooms and nice breakfast included. The staff are accommodating! They also have laundry service which is a bit pricey but we traveled with just carry-on bags and were grateful to have some clean clothes! We ate dinner at the restaurant our last night and it was affordable, easy and had good service. We stayed 3 different nights with breaks in-between between adventures to Galapagos, the cloud forest and Mt Cotopaxi. It was nice to have a warm shower and great bed between adventures.

Beautiful hotel on the outside and lounge areas/restaurant. Our room was average with a window facing a covered atrium area. Great location in city. Restaurant had good food and was reasonably priced. Staff very friendly. Breakfast buffet excellent. Unfortunately, there is no a/c in rooms, so room was hot and stuffy at night. Did not sleep well.

Loved staying here., and hope to return at some point. The staff were friendly and helpful, the room was spotless, and the shower was lovely. Also, the on-site restaurant does fantastic dinner and epic breakfast.

I stayed at Ikala Quito in July 2023. This is a very beautiful boutique hotel and I really enjoyed my stay there. It's a much nicer hotel than corporate chain hotels. I would recommend it to anyone visiting Quito for a couple of days. The location is also good, the breakfast spread is great. The hotel is beautifully designed throughout with comfortable and luminous rooms. I would immediately stay again.

My husband and I spent a few nights at Ikala Hotel in Quito as we waited for our daughter to complete an Ecuadorian program before we started a family vacation. The rooms are simple, comfortable and cover all of your needs. The common areas? Incredible. Since this hotel is the combination of 3 historic buildings, it's really fun to explore every nook and cranny. And the service is excellent. The front desk was easy to communicate with. The restaurant served a fantastic breakfast (including a boxed breakfast when we left very early for a guided hike and birding expedition). Many parts of Quito were walkable from this location. And the location was very close to a supermarket, convenience stores, restaurants, and banks. Overall, a great experience!

Overall EXCELLENT. Room, breakfast,cocktails, dinner ,, staff assistance, all of it was excellent. We visited twice on one trip and the hotel gave us a room we preferred. That was classy. Thea guard was nice security to have on site. Very pleased with the two visits. Thank you.

The Ikala Quito Hotel has nice sized bedrooms and bathrooms. The Hotel's morning buffet breakfast is very good. The dining area doubled for the bar. The staff was friendly and helpful. The Hotel is in an area of Quito that isn't memorable.
