Premier Inn Reading South (Grazeley Green) hotel

Very clean and lovely place to stay. Easy to reach location.

Standard Premier, rooms fine, although not the best I have been in. What put us off though was the guy on the reception. So my son had prebooked two rooms for the night and check in is usually simple....however the guy took ages and then told us we owed £6.... what for we asked as it was all prebooked... because it says so on the computer he said! After much asking he could not say why there was a £6 surcharge on a prepaid booking so we had to pay otherwise he would not give us our cards. When I went to the room mine smelt of sewerage... I had to go back and I was obviously not welcome... I told him that the room smelt and needed to change, but he told me they were fully booked and everyone there.. this was 4pm! I said surely not everyone has booked in yet and I could not stay in that room - he obviously thought I was just being difficult because of the surcharge.... he then took my key and went up to the room himself as obviously did not believe me... however when he returned he was very different and agreed there was a problem with sewerage and miraculously found me another room... Problems occur but it is the way you deal with them.

Hotel was tired and not very clean. Reception ignored our request to service the room for our second day necessitating a trip to ask for fresh towels, etc. Restaurant evening meal was poor quality and over priced, breakfast (continental) consisted of stale pastries and none of the fresh fruit advertised (although a girl in the bar did offer to have a look in the kitchen to see if she could find something). This is a real shame as we almost exclusively use Premier Inn when we travel as they are usually excellent.

Exceeded our expectations - our room was comfortable, spacious, and the location was really nice and leafy too. Everything was really easy. Thank you!

I had such a good stay here, the staff at reception were extremely friendly and helpful with any questions/queries that I had. I will definitely be staying here again. I didn’t have any disturbances or issues at all with my stay. I couldn’t fault it here at all. Thank-you so much for a wonderful experience! And beds were comfy too!

Checked into our room, the room was 25 degrees with no air con, however they had the equipment for it. ***** on the back of the toilet seat and filthy, and lastly we had people partying next door to us being g extra loud,we ended up leaving and driving the 60 miles back home.

Dated facilities poor communication with restaurant different menu dirty bed needs to be refurbished key cards intermittently work

Really grumpy male receptionist, the room was full of spiders (I caught 5 in an hour before going out for the night), very basic room where the bathroom door looked as though someone had tried to claw their way out of it, the walls are really thin and we could hear people moving about next door. On the plus side Madi (I think that was her name on reception) was so lovely as were the barstaff in the pub next door. A point to be aware of, Uber apparently don't like to come out that far so use the local taxi company, I think they were called Bliss and they were very reliable and good value fee.

Fantastic stay at the Premier Inn Reading South [Grazeley Green] - staff were excellent - very helpful and considerate - had our breakfast and some meals in the adjacent Old Bell Pub - rooms, bed, refreshments all excellent - all in all our stay was fantastic.
