Palm Hotel & Spa
4.4/554 Reviews
We stayed in this hotel for 5 nights. Overall, we 've stayed several times in 4 star hotels at other locations, the level at Réunion seems to be lower anyhow. Compared to other hotels in la Réunion, Palm Hotel seemed to be the better one: better maintained, more stylish, more service from the staff. We received an upgrade to a junior suite, which was a really pleasant surprise as it came with a hottub outside, an extra room/bed and an outside shower. Definitely, this contributed to the positive overall experience. The hotel is beautifully located, although no direct access to the beach below. For the brave, there is an adventurous path downhill (and back up again afterwards) which I did two times. Not to try if you have no proper shoes nor long pants! But if you do this, you can continue to hike up to the ”cap” which delivers magnificent views and I definitely recommend. When we booked this hotel, a shuttle service was posted, although i didnt see it. Staying here we opted for the half board, which we wouldnt do again if we would have known. Personally, we dont have to fine dine ”french cuisine” every day, we would have rather opted for a light salad or something. This was our main challenge at this hotel: lunch as well as dinner offered very few ”light” options, basically there were almost no salads or a light pasta on neither menus. The only option for lunch or light dinner that remained were the tapas (they were very good!). We missed truly, during our entire trip at Reunion, ”light” dishes with vegetables. So my recommendation would be Palm hotel to think about offering for lunch and dinner some international, ”summery” dishes also, for those not interested in duck, foie gras, fish or beef on a daily basis. Dont misunderstand me, the food was good, it was just too heavy for our way of living.
Les Jardins DHeva

We stayed at Jardins d Heva during a hiking holiday in La Réunion. The Guesthouses are nicely located away from the ”center” and thus very calm. Our room was very clean and everything was working fine. The hosts were very welcoming and gave us lots of information. Diner was local food and very tasty, we thought the prices very low for what you get and where you are. Breakfast was nice with made to order eggs and a good choice, again considering the location. We were able to leave our luggage for the hiking and retrieve it later. All in all a great stay, thank you :)
Sarana Hôtel & Spa

This airy, modern, elegant hotel has been operational since October 2022. It is fresh. The rooms are comfortably sized and accessible. The view out of the window is alone worth thousands of dollars. Salazie is beautiful; the scenic route to get here is a once-in-a-lifetime experience. The reception is accessible. The rooms were available as promised. The formalities are as usual. English is spoken, and the attitude is warmly humorous. The first dinner was 'problematic' due to a lack of personnel (Easter Holiday). The wait was too long. This was an isolated incident. Questions of taste –we saw some customers return their portions to the kitchen. The chef has an excellent reputation, but he had his day off. Our rooms had no Wi-Fi or Netflix due to a network problem. I used my cellular connection with my laptop. BBC world service is available on TV. The bathtub is murderously slippery. Be careful; the statistics are grim. Safe box +, coffee machine +, water cooker +, hairdryer +. To sum it up: This hotel has a lot going for it: The ambiance is warm, everything is clean, and there is a lot of effort to make our stay as pleasant as possible. Would I come here again? Yes, I would.
Dina Morgabine Saint Denis

Staff are very friendly, welcoming and interacting with them feels personal. The Horizon Duo room is modern and comfortable and the hotel itself is perfectly located to all conveniences and the town center. We appreciated the early check in and daily replacement of drinking water and bath linen. The bar and restaurant provide interesting options. The shower is excellent. Didn't find the hairdryer though the room description mentions availability. I think the staff would have happily provided it if I asked.

Only when you have spent a few hours it becomes clear how brilliant the architecture and concept is. A 2-part U-shaped pool of almost 100 m long, sky bridges connecting the buildings, and many swim-up rooms; part of the pool is visible through 'aquarium windows' in the reception area. We had a suite tucked in a corner and hence a bit more silent. Dinner was excellent though they pushed very pricey drinks, breakfast also good but less friendly staff. Reception staff made our day by calling around to arrange a timely PCR test where our driver had failed to find one, and next day printed the results for free. Also laundry service quicker than expected. Tea & coffee making in the room, and a good jacuzzi bath tub and separate toilet. For us by far the best hotel we had in one week in the island. A Vegas-style 'grandeur' not often found in places like this...
