The best thing about this hotel is the helpfulness and kindness of the staff. They have been superb. The hotel is well positioned near public transport making it easy to get to all major attractions. The breakfast was plentiful and again, the service impeccable. I would recommend it as an excellent value hotel.

The room is relatively clean, no odor, there is a small yard for parking, and at the end of the corridor there is a toilet and a shower room. Climbing the stairs with heavy luggage requires caution. The breakfast is simple but filling.

The Rija VEF Hotel is a great hotel to go during your holidays if you can't spend too much. The breakfast is delicious and the beds are very comfortable. The hotel is well located. However, the staff isn't very friendly and the shower is too small.

Very simple hotel, far from the city centre. There was no air conditioner in the room and the room was very hot as the sun was warming it up. Breakfast was very modest. A lot of parking spaces and free parking.

Very negative attitude and even through ***********. We made reservation becouse kids should attend olimpiad and made cancellation 1 day in advance due to that kid get sick. We are 3 kids family still they did not care and took all the money. First Hotel informed that they never received the money. *********** said that it is up to hotel how to settle the things. Do not use such place if you do not want loose your money though they write that calcellation is for free.

Located far from the historic center of Riga. The breakfast was acceptable, but the restaurant was closed for lunch and dinner. The only eating options were at a shopping center about a 20-minute walk away down some very seedy streets. You have to use a pedestrian underpass to cross the road. We were advised by a local to avoid this at night. The hotel itself is in bad repair. There’s lots of bare ductwork in the lobby. I thought that perhaps this was on purpose (industrial chic), but it’s so shabby and unsightly that the only conclusion you can come to is that they ran out of money to replace the hanging ceiling, so just left it. On the top floor is a lounge all decked out in 70s velour. It would have been fun had someone cleaned it since then. We were there during a heatwave. When we turned on the a/c nothing came out. We mentioned this to the receptionist, who just shrugged her shoulders. I got the distinct impression she didn’t want to be there either.

I stayed in this hotel for one night. One night too many, because I wonder how this hotel got its 3 stars: Unfortunately, all guests could only take cold showers, but there was clearly visible mold in the shower. Mold was also visible on the window frame. The entire furnishings in the room were clearly old, worn and dirty. Three stars are really a joke, even the cheap price is no use. THANKS, but never again in this filthy hotel.
