This hotel is on the edge of the Riga Old Town right by the corner of the park containing the old moat turned into a canal. It is also across the street from the train station which is very convenient. The hotel did not have good AC, but there was a portable fan. The breakfast was good. The best part of the hotel was the location and reasonable price.

Can't understand previous reviews! Myself and my partner have just spent 4 nights there. We occupied the Junior Suite and found the room clean, with everything we needed! Aircon, mini fridge and two televisions. The staff were always pleasant and attentive and were extremely helpful with storing our luggage due to check in/check out times. We didn't eat at the hotel but...there were some nice smells from the restaurant every morning. Myself and my girlfriend are both well travelled and would recommend The Opera to anyone.

Hotel con historia. Aunque en principio no atendieron mi petición de dicha en el baño, la chica de recepción se portó fenomenal y después de enseñarme 3 habitaciones para ver cuál me gustaba más, me la cambió. Decepcionante el departamento de pisos, no nos hizo la habitación, aludiendo que la hacían de 14 a 16 horas cuando claramente no era cierto. La habitación correcta, camas altísimas pero cómodas y el baño genial. No había secador profesional ni en recepción. Se nota que el turismo no está profesionalizado, aún les queda mucho para llegar al nivel de España.

De foto’s bedriegen, het zitje bij de superior room was niet aanwezig, sommige kamers zijn anders dan de foto’s was de verklaring bij de receptie. Bij het douchen was de hele badkamer zeiknat, dat was niet goed afgeschermd. Geen koeling op de kamer, waardoor te warm. Ontbijt voldoende maar iets meer afwisseling zou prettig zijn, ook wat meer keuze in brood en vleeswaren. Scrambled egg was wel prima Locatie naar centrum prima

Everything was as expected. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The service was excellent. We arrived early in the morning, but we could left our luggage at the hotel. When we checked out we could leave our luggage to the hotel until evening so it was easier to spend the day around town. There's a shopping centre and a nice park with lovely tea house just next to the Hotel.

Well disappointing. Air condition does not work, neither one of the bedside sockets. the bar is closed. Bathroom standard mediocre. Carpets, floors worn out. Good location close to the old town. Relatively short ride from the airport (11€). This is not a 4 star hotel. Replacement room - A/c works but there is no window! (Just a very small roof opening)

Great location in Riga opposite the train station and the old town less than 10 minutes walk through the pleasant city park. Room was comfortable - a little warm at times but you can open the windows to suit your preference. Did not try the breakfast as there were plenty of options outside of the hotel. A very big thank you to Alise on reception who was lovely and gave me lots of helpful tips and was very knowledgeable and nice to talk to.
