Domus Avi - Guest House

My partner and I stayed at this hotel for three nights and found it to be very comfortable. Unfortunately, we did have a problem checking in as there were no staff members on site when we arrived in the evening (I had informed them by email a few days earlier that I would be arriving after their usual operating hours and they had said that would be ok). Despite making phone calls and sending emails to them it was over an hour before I received a response and a staff member arrived to check us in Nevertheless, the hotel was fantastic overall and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Below I have listed my thoughts. Pros: Everything was very clean. Modern, stylish decor. Bathroom looked brand new. Powerful hot shower. Good storage space. Spacious rooms with high ceilings. Fridge for storing drinks. Coffee and biscuits provided. Good location, walking distance to main attractions. Cons: Staff not on site 24/7. Can hear other guests come and go (although they were mostly quiet and respectful of others). Hotel may be difficult to find as there is no sign outside.

Great location, room was clean, well equipped and quiet, we slept very well. Location is great, interesting and vibrant area, easy to stay local after a day walking miles. Accommodating hosts and staff. We were in room 5, which is internal which may have added to its quietness, the downside was we missed a bit of natural light as no window however there was a door on to a small courtyard, it is a shared space but wasn’t a issue whilst we stayed as no one seemed to use it, it may be different in summer months. Good value.

My wife and I stayed at this B&B for three nights and truly enjoyed it. The room was very nice and clean as per the pictures/description and the AC was working quite well, which proved to be important as outside temperatures varied between 30C and 35C. Marco and Krystsina proved to be very good host as they responded swiftly to all of our demands. Toilet flushing was problematic on day 1 but that got sorted out by the next morning. The B&B is in the ZTL Zone and is on a very quiet street in between the two main attractions, the Vatican and the Coliseum, at resonable walking distances. Highly recommended and very good value for money.
